My question is what the hell did Mueller think was gonna happen?  Did this alleged legal mastermind not know that these accused entities (troll farm, Mannafort, russian business suing Buzzfeed over dossier) were gonna ask for the evidence against them?  I mean, that's lawyerin' 101, so it has to be something else.

Maybe he thought the power of the US govt would force them to concede, as if we were the mafia or something.  Highly doubtful that was it.  So, its more likely that something else is going on.  Why wont the DOJ release info to Congress?  Because they think that info will make its way to Trump (it will).  So, what does that mean?  Its either good or bad.  Either they have him, or they have themselves in a ringer.  

The bottom line is that there is no middle ground for Meuller.  Either he's gonna find evidence Trump colluded with Russia, or his entire career will be ruined.  The choice is his, based on the evidence laid out before him.  This investigation is the libs chance to get their digs in, because we know for a fact the pubs are coming next with their own investigation.....after the libs have already put their investigations results out there.  Advantage pubs.  And, I dont like it being an us vs them situation, but the reality is that it is...kind of.  I have not seen one dem out looking for the actual truth except MAYBE Manchin, and hes done/not running for re-election.  I've seen a few pubs after the "truth" because it benefits their party or position, and honestly, thats the best we've got right now, so I'm working with it.

I'm trying to temper my expectations for tomorrow's report...it's mostly going to be about Comey and McCabe I'm guessing (possibly people like Lynch and Yates), and probably a bunch of stuff we either already knew or suspected. Hillary and Obama will remain untouchable. I'm much more interested in the upcoming report on FISA abuses, spying on campaigns, etc., which will then expose the Russia/Mueller investigation as the fraud that it is.

If charges are warranted, I want them brought against those who broke the law, regardless of whether they are still in govt. 

But, what I'm really waiting on is the info on FISA and spying.  If even half of what we believe to be true is proven to be in that report, it will change history.  

(If its not, we need to be prepared to accept that result as well, but they will need to explain all of the issues leading us to believe abuse was systemic.)

Don’t forget that Mueller has been asking to delay going to trial as one of the indicted companies is asking for a speedy trial & are wanting to see the evidence against them. Him pushing for this twice,(both times the Judge has denied it), is very telling.

He can only be “hiding” the evidence because he either a) has none, or b) wants to release it all at once so Trump can’t gain insight into what Mueller knows. The only problem with that last option is, if true, why did Mueller charge them so early?? Somewhere, mistakes were made. What other option is there??

“That is why he put them on notice to retain relevant emails and text messages and he hopes they did so,” the official’s statement said.

In what is likely to disappoint many on the right, Bloomberg reports that the Justice Department's watchdog has reportedly found that while former FBI Director James Comey "chose to deviate from" the agency's norms in his investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails, he wasn't motivated by political bias.

“We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed,” Horowitz said in the report to be issued Thursday.

“The conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation.”

While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in the report’s conclusions, which were obtained Thursday by Bloomberg News.

FBI agent Peter Strzok assured his mistress and colleague Lisa Page that they would stop Donald Trump from winning the presidency in a text message, a new report from the DOJ inspector general finds per Bloomberg News White House Correspondent Jennifer Jacobs.

“Several FBI employees Who played critical roles in the investigation sent political messages,” the report reads, according to Jacobs.

“(Trump’s) not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Page wrote to Strzok, Bloomberg reports.

“No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it,” Strzok reportedly replied.


The long-anticipated IG report was obtained by Bloomberg News and contained previously unrevealed text messages between Strzok and Page. The FBI pair were intimately involved in the counter-intelligence investigation of the Trump 2016 campaign. Strzok and Page have drawn criticism previously for anti-Trump text messages.

The report, according to Bloomberg, however found that “we did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed.”

FBI agent Peter Strzok texted a fellow bureau official in August 2016 that “we’ll stop” Donald Trump from becoming president, the Justice Department inspector general reportedly reveals in his highly anticipated report on the Hillary Clinton email case.

The Washington Post reported that Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report includes an August 2016 text message exchange between Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page about Trump’s chance of being elected president.

“[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Page texted Strzok.

“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok responded.

Horowitz's review months ago revealed other anti-Trump texts between the two officials, who were romantically involved. The "stop" Trump text goes further, and is likely to fuel claims from the White House that the bureau was working against him.

But Bloomberg News, which also reported the new Strzok message, said Horowitz’s report “did not find documentary or testimonial evidence [in the Clinton case] that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed.”

For more than a year, Horowitz has been reviewing the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

The report is not expected to address the DOJ and FBI’s actions taken in the Trump-Russia investigation, or relitigate the Clinton case itself. But it will mark the most definitive accounting of the email probe to date, looking at -- among other things -- whether “certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations.”

The report is set to be released later Thursday. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was seen arriving at the White House, where he was expected to brief Trump on its findings.

The inspector general’s review months ago uncovered a trove of anti-Trump texts from Strzok, who famously called Trump an “idiot” and texted about an “insurance policy” against a Trump presidency.

Strzok was reassigned to the FBI's human resources division. Page has since left the bureau.

A congressional source told Fox News that Page’s text about Trump “not ever going to become president” was produced to Congress, but Strzok’s response that “we’ll stop it” was not.

According to the Associated Press, the Justice Department's watchdog also faults former FBI Director James Comey for breaking with established protocol in his handling of the Clinton email investigation, but it says his decisions before the 2016 elections were not driven by political bias, according to a person familiar with the findings.

The report from the inspector general also criticizes Comey for not keeping his superiors at the Justice Department, including former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, properly informed about his handling of the investigation, said the person, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the report is not yet public.

The draft IG reports that have been circulating for weeks did not include the Page-Strzok texts

They were only "discovered" in May and added just before the IG Report was released

This is stunning and raises questions about the DOJ itself in addition to the texts themselves

More big news on this text. It turns out that Peter strzok's reply to Lisa Page was omitted from documents handed to Congress months ago. So Congress thought nothing of it. That's criminal in itself, from Rosenstein. Luckily the IG reported it

After various leaks, first to Bloomberg then to Fox News and other outlets, finally the DOJ released to the public the Inspector General report of the Clinton email probe, which while hammering James Comey for being "insubordinate" and showing poor judgment during the 2016 election, it found no evidence to show his key decisions in the Clinton email investigation were improperly influenced by political bias; paradoxically, the same report also raised swirling questions about the role of FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok, whose texts with FBI lawyer Lisa Page the IG found suggested he "might be willing" to take official action to impact Trump's electoral prospects, or as one might put it, "clear bias" against Trump.

And while the IG does not fault the FBI for not charging Clinton, it did find that, not surprisingly, Comey used personal email for official business

The report also found that five FBI officials expressed hostility toward Donald Trump before his election and says in report to Congress that their actions have been referred to bureau for possible disciplinary action.

Furthermore, and this is where Andrew McCabe may want to get concerned, the DOJ inspector general also has opened additional probes into leaks.

But as we reported earlier, in perhaps the most explosive new revelation from the report, Strzok told Page "We'll stop it" when asked, "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!"

That text, the report said, was "indicative of a biased state of mind"—and suggested that Strzok may have intentionally slow-rolled the review of emails connected to the Clinton investigation discovered after the probe was closed, on a laptop belonging to former congressman Anthony Weiner. Strzok, as the number-two official in the Clinton investigation, was one of several individual figures who was made aware of the existence of the emails when they were initially uncovered.

In other words, the second email prove into Clinton was only opened days before the election because, as some had suggested, one or more FBI agents had threatened to leak that the FBI was sitting on a potential trove of documents which incriminated Hillary, while both Strzok and McCabe tried to keep it all under wraps.

According to the IG, the so-called "Midyear" team—the investigative unit that had handled the Clinton investigation—did not move to review the emails them until just days before the end of the election, almost a month after FBI officials in New York found them.

Strzok told investigators that at the time, he was prioritizing the investigation into then-candidate Donald Trump's campaign's ties to Russia.

Ah yes, Russia, Russia, Russia.

"Under these circumstances, we did not have confidence that Strzok's decision to prioritize the Russia investigation over following up on Midyear-related investigative lead discovered on the Weiner laptop was free from bias," the inspector general said.

Horowitz's report did not find any evidence that political bias or improper influence impacted any decisions made in the Clinton case prior to Comey's announcement that he was closing the case—including the decision not to recommend charges against Clinton.
