www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/04/09/nolte-scientists-prove-man-made-global-warming-is-a-hoax/The far-left ThinkProgress reports that scientists have finally proven that the theory of man-made Global Warming is a total hoax. Of course, no one will admit it, but that is exactly what has happened A new scientific study shows has revealed the following: thinkprogress.org/carbon-dioxide-levels-sea-antarctica-b435497e1266/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=5cac896400e48b00017e7cf2&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitterCurrent CO2 levels of 410 parts per million (ppm) were last seen on Earth three million years ago, according to the most detailed reconstruction of the Earth’s climate by researchers at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and published in Science Advances. Yes, you read that correctly, three million — million — years ago CO2 levels on Earth were the same as they are today, but there is one major difference between three million years ago and today… Three million years ago, we humans were not driving cars or eating the meat that requires cow farts; we weren’t barbecuing or refusing to recycle or building factories; there was no Industrial Age, no plastic, no air conditioning, no electricity, no lumber mills, no consumerism, no aerosols. In fact, three million years ago, there were probably no human beings on Earth, at least not human in the way we use that term today. And yet… CO2 levels were the same then as they are now… Hmmm…? But I thought humans warmed the planet? That’s the hustle we’ve been sold for three decades now — you know, that WE are the problem. We have also been told the problem is DEFINITELY NOT a billions-year-old planet running through cycles where the temperature might fluctuate a bit. Oh, no, that could never be it — so stop saying that could be, you Denier. Well, what about the Ice Age that occurred thousands and thousands of years before the Industrial Age. Shut up, Denier. And yet… According to the study, scientists also discovered that during this period of Global Warming “there were no ice sheets covering either Greenland or West Antarctica, and much of the East Antarctic ice sheet was gone.” How is this possible 2,999,971 years before Arnold Schwarzenegger bought his Hummer? It gets worse: Temperatures were up to 7 degrees Fahrenheit warmer globally, at least double that at the poles, and sea levels were some 20 meters (65 feet) higher. How is that possible 2,999,945 years before Americans moved to the suburbs and lit up the charcoal grills? Naturally, even in the face of a study that totally debunks the whole concept of man-made Global Warming, ThinkProgress is sticking with that hoax but is also forced to concede the following: The good news is that the Earth does not warm instantly, and mile-thick ice sheets melt even more slowly. So the temperature rise will take several decades, and tens of feet of sea level rise will take hundreds and hundreds of years. But-but-but-but Alexandria Ocasio-Crazy told me we only have 12 years! And then ThinkProgress drops this anti-science stink bomb: That means the choices we make now can affect the rate of rise and determine whether we blow past 65 feet of sea level rise to beyond 200 feet. Because, because, because Orange Man Bad: Even worse, the climate policy agenda President Donald Trump is pushing — actions that include rolling back U.S. laws that reduce carbon pollution and abandoning the Paris climate agreement — would lock us in to such high CO2 levels, sea levels would rise a foot per decade in just a few decades. No, actually, what this study proves is that there is nothing we can do to stop the Earth’s naturally occurring climate cycles. Even the worst of the worst, even the most maniacal pushing the Global Warming Hoax admit that, at best, we can only cool the planet a couple of degrees, which will do next to nothing if the planet is determined to again warm itself by seven degrees, as we now know it did 2,999,998 years before the Bad Orange Man approved a couple of pipelines.

What needs to happen next is, all of these conservative sites need to ban together and take the Tech companies to court over this blatant censorship. dailycaller.com/2019/04/09/google-news-blacklist-search-manipulation/Google does manipulate its search results manually, contrary to the company’s official denials, documents obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller indicate. Two official policies dubbed the “misrepresentation policy” and the “good neighbor policy” inform the company’s “XPA news blacklist,” which is maintained by Google’s Trust & Safety team. “T&S will be in charge of updating the blacklist as when there is a demand,” reads one of the documents shared with The Daily Caller. “The deceptive_news domain blacklist is going to be used by many search features to filter problematic sites that violate the good neighbor and misrepresentation policies,” the policy document says. (RELATED: Meet The Five Google Staffers Who Circulated The Petition To Drop Kay Coles James) That document reads that it was, “approved by gomes@, nayak@, haahr@ as of 8/13/2018.” Ben Gomes is Google’s head of search, who reports directly to CEO Sundar Pichai. Pandu Nayak is a Google Fellow, and Paul Haahr is a software engineer, whose bio on Google’s internal network Moma indicates that he is also involved in, “fringe ranking: not showing fake news, hate speech, conspiracy theories, or science/medical/history denial unless we’re sure that’s what the user wants.” “The purpose of the blacklist will be to bar the sites from surfacing in any Search feature or news product. It will not cause a demotion in the organic search results or de-index them altogether,” reads the policy document obtained by the Caller. What that means is that targeted sites will not be removed from the “ten blue links” portion of search results, but the blacklist applies to most of the other search features, like “top news,” “videos” or the various sidebars that are returned as search results. Eligibility for GNP [Good Neighbor Policy] enforcement,” the types of search results impacted by the policy are described: “If your product shows any of the following, Misrep and GNP would apply to your PA. Shows content from users and news publishers (percieved 3P voice). Ex: UGC, News corpus, etc. Outputs single answers (perceived to come from the open web). Ex: Web answers, Video answers, etc. Shows content owned, licensed, or edited by Google (perceived to come directly from Google). Ex: Knowledge panels, News summaries, Oneboxes, Munin carousels, etc.” The “ten blue links” may not be impacted by the blacklist, but virtually every other kind of Google search result is. While hard numbers are not available for how much traffic is directed through the 10 links versus the other search blocks, since the latter appear so high on the results page, the impact could be significant. (RELATED: Applause At Google’s All-Hands Meeting As Company Drops Heritage Foundation President) “Focus on the user,” said a source at Google who described the program to the Caller. “Users need to trust any content that Google shows them, whether it’s the 10 blue links or other special search results.” Sundar Pichai testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 11 of last year. Democratic California Rep. Zoe Lofgren asked why a search for the term “idiot” returned a photo of President Trump. In response, Pichai said, “This is working at scale, we don’t manually intervene on any particular search result.” A memo about the deceptive news blacklist was also obtained by the Caller, showing its last edit as Dec. 3, 2018, a week before Pichai’s congressional testimony. This document, which describes the process by which a site can be blacklisted for deceptive news, clearly shows that there is a manual component: “The beginning of the workflow starts when a website is placed on a watchlist which is used for monitoring of sites to determine if they violate the Good Neighbor Policy. This watchlist is maintained and stored by Ares with access restricted to policy & enforcement specialists working on the Good Neighbor Policy. Access to the listing can also be shared at the discretion of pcounsel and legal investigations on a need to know basis to enforce or enrich the policy violations. The investigation of the watchlist is done in the tool Athena, the Ares manual review tool, and intakes signals from Search, Webspan, and Ares in order to complete reviews. … Once a domain is determined to be violating the misrepresentation policy or the Good Neighbor Policy, such patterns are then added to deceptive_news_blacklist_domains.txt by the Trust & Safety team.” The document indicates that there is, among other things, a “manual review tool” involved in maintaining the blacklist. On the blacklist are a number of conservative sites, including Gateway Pundit, Matt Walsh’s blog, Gary North’s blog “teapartyeconomist.com,” Caroline Glick’s website, Conservative Tribune, a property of The Western Journal and the website of the American Spectator. “You can’t trust the human judgment of Google’s Trust and Safety team,” said the source at Google with knowledge of their practices. Requests for comment from Google’s press team have gone unreturned as of publication time. Update: A Google spokesperson provided the following statement to the Daily Caller after this story was published: “We do not manually determine the order of any search result, nor do our algorithms or policies attempt to make any judgement on the political leanings of a website. Our Google News inclusion policies are publicly available online. They provide guidelines on content and behaviors for matters like sponsored content, deceptive practices, and more. Sites that do not adhere to these policies are not eligible to appear on news surfaces or in information boxes in Search. These policies do not impact the way these sites appear in organic blue-link Google Search results.” I hardly ever see posts from many conservatives I follow. I go to their page and there are all sorts of posts. Where are they. But, when someone shares a post from Occupy Dems I am unable to hide any content from them.

California about to start taxing drinking water? www.dailywire.com/news/45856/death-taxes-lawmakers-california-propose-taxing-joseph-curlCalifornia, which already has the highest taxes in the nation, has finally decided to just go all in and tax drinking water. We'll repeat that: Drinking water in California could soon be taxed. Lawmakers in the state of Californistan have proposed more than $6.2 billion worth of tax increases, according to the California Tax Foundation (CTF). Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has submitted a $209 billion budget that would set aside nearly $20 billion in a reserve fund. Newsom says the state lacks access to clean drinking water, calling the situation a "disgrace." A new bill in the state legislature would establish "the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund in the State Treasury, and is expected to be amended to include a tax-like 'fee' on drinking water to raise funds for State Water Resources Control Board to administer programs intended to provide safe drinking water for all Californians," the CTF reported. The Foundation added that in 2018, a similar bill "was estimated to cost taxpayers $100 million annually, according to the Assembly Appropriations Committee." If passed, residents would be charged anywhere from $1 to $10 a month on their water bills, depending on usage. Unlike many other tax bills — which require support from two-thirds of lawmakers — the new water tax requires a simple majority. Some critics argue that California would set a precedent if it taxes water. "A state-imposed tax would not only be an outlier from a national perspective, it would be for California as well," John Coupal, president of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA), wrote in January. "Moreover, there are other ways to fund the one-time $150 million cost of necessary water system improvements. Not only is there federal funding specifically available for this purpose, California has passed several statewide bonds that have allocated hundreds of millions of dollars for clean water infrastructure improvements." "The only conceivable reason for imposing higher taxes is to establish new, permanent sources of revenue," Coupal wrote. The list of new taxes is long and include some truly wacky ideas, the Los Angeles Times reports. "Here’s an eye-roller: A bill that would authorize San Francisco to turn its crooked Lombard Street — a tourist attraction after so many movie appearances — into a toll road, maybe even requiring reservations. Think they have a traffic jam now on weekends? Wait until cars are lined up behind a tollgate." There are a whole bunch of taxing ideas in the Capitol: on new tires, firearms, water, prescription painkillers, lawyers, car batteries, corporations based on their CEO pay, estates worth more than $3.5 million, oil and gas extraction. The list goes on. California state regulators had earlier proposed a new charge for cell phone users on text messaging as a means of collecting taxpayer money to pay for programs to make phone service cheaper to low-income residents, the San Jose Mercury News reported. No fee was ever set, but the News said the fee "likely would be billed as a flat surcharge per customer — one of those irksome fees at the bottom of your wireless bill — not a fee per text." And cell phone users might have had to retroactively pay the fee for the last five years, the News said, noting that the new fees could bring in upwards of $50 million a year. But the California Public Utilities Commission scrubbed a scheduled vote from its January meeting agenda after the Federal Communications Commission ruled that such messaging is not taxable.

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't sea water be turned into fresh water? Isn't that what cruise ships do? There is that ocean thingy that is next to the state.

So, a true story based on a real life account is labeled as “propaganda”? ......... www.foxnews.com/tech/google-slammed-labeling-pro-life-film-unplanned-propagandaA Google spokesperson explained to Fox News that its “Knowledge Graph” analyzed web content on “Unplanned” and that a large volume of it described the film as propaganda and placed the label without a universal consensus. “When we’re made aware of disputed facts in our Knowledge Graph, we work to fix the issues, as we’ve done in this case,” the spokesperson told Fox News. Google has updated the search results so that “propaganda” no longer appears as the genre. ....... so basically because a bunch of people who never saw the film talked about it as being propaganda the algorithm/system labeled it as such? That seems like it could be fixed pretty easily. 4 8:03 AM - Apr 12, 2019

www.dailywire.com/news/45869/boston-globe-publishes-then-edits-op-ed-ashe-schowThe Boston Globe found itself in hot water on Wednesday after publishing an opinion piece from a man who said he regretted “not pissing” on a Neo-conservative pundit’s food and encouraging waiters to “tamper” with the food of outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. www.bostonglobe.com/ideas/2019/04/10/oneil/t0wEh4yEXHTzBttu77AGWK/story.htmlThe article, titled “Keep Kirstjen Nielsen unemployed and eating Grubhub over her kitchen sink,” was written by Luke O’Neil, a former waiter and occasional writer for the Globe. The article now has an editor’s note at the top and has been stealth edited for “tone.” The article originally began: One of the biggest regrets of my life is not pissing in Bill Kristol’s salmon. I was waiting on the disgraced neoconservative pundit and chief Iraq War cheerleader about 10 years ago at a restaurant in Cambridge and to my eternal dismay, some combination of professionalism and pusillanimity prevented me from appropriately seasoning his entrée. A ramekin of blood on the side might have been the better option, come to think of it, he always did seem really thirsty for the stuff. Kristol is the former founder and editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard, which stopped publication in December 2018. Kristol was the editor-in-chief of the magazine until two years ago, when he switched his title to editor-at-large. O’Neil originally concluded the op-ed encouraging food service employees to “tamper” with the food of a Trump official: As for the waiters out there, I’m not saying you should tamper with anyone’s food, as that could get you into trouble. You might lose your serving job. But you’d be serving America. And you won’t have any regrets years later. An editor’s note at the top of the article now reads: “A version of this column as originally published did not meet Globe standards and has been changed. The Globe regrets the previous tone of the piece.” After the initial outrage, the sentence was changed to say O’Neal regretted “not defiling Bill Kristol’s salmon,” according to a screenshot from Daily Caller opinion contributor Eddie Zipperer. It appears to have been changed once again. The lede paragraph no longer mentions “pissing in” or “defiling” Kristol’s salmon. It instead states that one of the biggest regrets of O’Neil’s life was “serving Bill Kristol salmon and not telling the neoconservative pundit and chief Iraq War cheerleader what I really thought about him.” The final paragraph no longer suggests defiling the food of Republicans or former Trump officials, instead suggesting food service workers tell them off if they visit their restaurants”: And when they show up in our restaurants, you have my permission, as an official member of the mainstream media, to tell them where to go and what they can do with themselves when they arrive there, but, you know, said in a more specific and traditional Boston colloquialism. The Federalist* noted that O’Neil’s original conclusion paragraph may have gone beyond the protections of the First Amendment and is more aligned with incitement than free speech. thefederalist.com/2019/04/11/boston-globe-op-ed-urges-waiters-tamper-trump-officials-food/O'Neil defended his comments on Twitter, but has since protected his tweets. "People who carry out policies of ethnic cleansing or cheerlead for disastrous wars leading to tens of thousands suffering or dead should not expect to be able to show their faces in public anymore thank you for understanding this basic premise,” he tweeted in response to criticism from conservative pundit Caleb Hull. *I am also a senior contributor to the Federalist.

U.S. District Judge Carlton Wayne Reeves of the federal trial court in southern Mississippi launched those broadsides during remarks at the University of Virginia Law School, where he was accepting the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal. “When politicians attack courts as ‘dangerous,’ ‘political,’ and guilty of ‘egregious overreach,’ you can hear the Klan’s lawyers, assailing officers of the court across the south,” Reeves said. “When the executive branch calls our courts and their work ‘stupid,’ ‘horrible,’ ‘ridiculous,’ ‘incompetent,’ ‘a laughingstock,’ and a ‘complete and total disgrace,’ you can hear the slurs and threats of executives like George Wallace echoing into the present,” the judge added. Reeves took particular exception to the president’s remarks respecting Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who presided over a civil fraud action against the now-defunct Trump University. The president called Curiel “biased” and “a hater,” and suggested the judge should be conflicted out of the case because of his hawkish immigration positions. Curiel is of Mexican descent. Just heard someone on MSNBC say that Trump is sending these people to the cities as punishment for disagreeing with him and wants them to cause violence and death. Which is weird, since MSNBC, liberal leaders, etc have told us for the past two years how they are welcomed, they are bundles of love & bring diversity, peace, etc to their areas. What President Trump has done is to successfully show the Democrats & their media sycophants to be major hypocrites by suggesting this,(which is basically giving the sanctuary cities/states what they want), & their outrage is them being upset that Trump has called their bluff publicly.

Politico buster for running a fake news story: www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/story-of-truly-bizarre-trump-visit-to-gws-mt-vernon-home-rejectedThe “ladies” who run Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home, have challenged a news story portraying President Trump as a disinterested tourist rudely walking through the presidential estate with French President Emmanuel Macron last April. Breaking from its tradition of keeping quiet about presidential visits, the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association today issued a statement questioning Politico’s story of Trump’s “truly bizarre” visit, including a claim that the first president should have his name on the mansion as Trump has on his hotels. www.politico.com/story/2019/04/10/donald-trump-mount-vernon-george-washington-1264073The news outlet cited three sources “briefed on the exchange,” but the association said that there were only two officials guiding the presidential families. Mount Vernon has a firm, long-standing policy of not commenting on the details of high-profile visits to the home of George Washington. However, we believe in the importance of ensuring that reports about events that take place at Mount Vernon are accurate. As such, we are concerned that the third-party accounts of the Trump-Macron visit released by several media outlets today do not correctly reflect the events that transpired nearly a year ago,” said the group. “Mount Vernon President Doug Bradburn and Regent Sarah Coulson escorted the presidents and first ladies on a tour of the Mansion on April 23, 2018. During the tour, all parties were interested and engaged in the story of George Washington and his beloved home. Conversations touched on topics like business dealings, real estate, and related matters that were of relevance and interest to the touring parties, and questions were asked by both leaders with curiosity and respect,” the group said, dismissing suggestions that Trump showed little interest in Washington. “Comments pulled from sources who were not present for the tour do not properly convey the tone and context in which they were delivered,” said the statement, which did not break down which of the descriptions of Trump it was shooting down.[/i] Administration officials and Trump allies were outraged by the story. “It portrayed the president as some kind of kid. It’s totally fake news,” said one.

Two more things that have outraged Liberals/Democrats this week: And this truth bomb: theweek.com/articles/834287/there-no-left-left-israelDon’t be fooled by misleading stories about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s disappointing showing in Tuesday’s election in Israel. Even if the centrist Blue and White alliance of former military chief Benny Gantz were to eke out a very narrow victory over Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud Party, sending Bibi into retirement to face a near-certain indictment on corruption charges, the story of this election is not at all about the retreat of the right. On the contrary, the most far-reaching consequence of the 2019 Israeli election may well be that it verified, beyond any reasonable doubt, that there is functionally no left left in Israel. It has become a country with a center, a right, and a far right, but no electorally viable left to speak of.
Center-left social democratic parties have been in sharp decline in recent years across the Western world. But nowhere has the collapse been more stunning than in Israel, whose founders and ruling class for the first 30 years of the country’s existence were very deeply linked with the labor movement. Labor has been in retreat ever since the collapse of peace negotiations with the Palestinians in 2000. But its showing on Tuesday was truly astonishing: With 5 percent of the vote, the Israeli Labor Party is now less than two percentage points away from failing to clear the minimum threshold (3.25 percent) for winning seats in the Knesset. The party is approaching the possibility of extinction.

Despite the hysteria, the new rule is not a “ban” on transgender people in the military as has been widely reported. As Breitbart News’ Ken Klukowski reported, the rule, which addresses recruits and serving personnel who suffer from gender dysphoria, seeks to limit transgender people only “if their gender dysphoria requires in expensive gender reassignment surgery or other therapies that render them unable to serve for significant lengths of time. The specific military need is that those serving in uniform must be ‘free of medical conditions or physical defects that may require excessive time lost from duty.'” But Hollywood activists would never let facts get in the way of a good narrative. “Comments pulled from sources who were not present for the tour do not properly convey the tone and context in which they were delivered,” said the statement, which did not break down which of the descriptions of Trump it was shooting down.Next time they want to smear the president they need to do their research. Looks as if the ladies don't play.

Leftist media has been taking it on the chin ever since the Mueller report was released: www.foxnews.com/entertainment/fox-news-primetime-viewership-beats-cnn-julian-castro-town-hallFox News Channel’s prime-time viewership beats CNN again during Thursday’s Julian Castro town hall Fox News Channel’s primetime viewership numbers beat out the cable news competition once again on Thursday night. According to Nielson Media Research’s early numbers, FNC bested CNN numbers even during the network’s own town hall event with 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro. Averaging 2.7 million viewers and nearly 500,000 in the 25-54 age demographic, “The Ingraham Angle” numbers more than quadrupled CNN’s town hall in total viewers and almost tripled CNN in the 25-54 age category. CNN town hall’s brought in 654,000 average viewers and 174,000 in the age range. CNN’s latest town hall ranked third in both categories and was down 41% in total viewers and down nearly 50% in the key 25-54 age demo. Thursday night’s special event for Castro also marked the second lowest-rated weekday primetime town hall in cable news history.

Swalwell: Second Amendment is Not an Absolute Right: www.breitbart.com/clips/2019/04/14/swalwell-second-amendment-is-not-an-absolute-right/When asked if he wants to repeal the Second Amendment, Swalwell said, “No I don’t agree but I think the greatest threat to the 2nd Amendment is doing nothing. The Second Amendment is not an absolute right. Just like free speech, you can’t shout fire in a theater or lie about the products you are selling. You can’t own a bazooka. You can’t own a tank. You cant own rocket propelled grenades. We should put some limits in place, and I think the American people are with me. I’m no longer intimidated by the NRA.”

Back in July of last year, Talia Lavin was fired from her job as a fact-checker for the New Yorker after she misidentified a wounded Marine's elbow tattoo as a Nazi "Iron Cross," and convinced much of the left that the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency had hired an actual white supremacist to work on their abuse task force.
Saturday, she was at it again. The self-described "expert" on white supremacy, in an effort to defend Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who flippantly referred to the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in a speech as "some people did something," Lavin asked whether we're supposed to believe that 9/11 is "sacred."
Of course, NYU hired her to teach a summer course on — what else? — identifying and researching elements of the "far right."

dailycaller.com/2019/04/15/netflix-our-planet-walruses/A veteran zoologist says Netflix’s “Our Planet” is lying about its viral scene of walruses falling off a cliff. “Our Planet” blames climate change for walruses falling to their deaths, but it may have actually been caused by polar bears. Experts were skeptical about other claims made in the Netflix series, which was produced in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund. The Netflix documentary series “Our Planet” is using chilling footage of walruses falling off a cliff to mislead viewers in the name of climate activism, a Canadian zoologist claimed. “Our Planet,” narrated by famed naturalist and BBC broadcaster David Attenborough, has a message: Climate change is endangering the planet. But it’s a message that comes at the expense of the facts, according to Susan Crockford, a zoologist and adjunct professor at the University of Victoria. Crockford argues the Netflix documentary’s iconic scene of walruses falling to their deaths is actually the same incident recorded in Siberia in October 2017. Polar bears were behind those plummeting walruses, not global warming as “Our Planet” told viewers. “The lie being told by Attenborough and the film crew is that 200-300 walruses fell during the time they were filming, while in fact they filmed only a few: polar bears were responsible for the majority of the carcasses shown on the beach below the cliff,” Crockford wrote on her personal blog Sunday. The documentary’s viral walrus scene was filmed at the Kozhevnikova Cape, near the town of Ryrkaypiy. The same place where, in 2017, a group of roughly 20 polar bears spooked a herd of about 5,000 walruses resting near the cliffs, sending many to their deaths. Crockford says “Our Planet” filmed the same, widely publicized, walrus haul-out, but neglected to mention the polar bears that spooked the walruses. Our Planet” was produced in conjunction with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), a prominent environmental group. Each episode highlights an important ecosystem they see as threatened by man-made climate change. The “Frozen World” episode’s walrus haul-out scene went viral online. WWF used the scene to make walruses the “new symbol of climate change” — apparently, replacing the iconic polar bear. WWF did not respond to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment by press time.

www.dailywire.com/news/45984/poll-white-men-lead-democratic-primary-despite-ashe-schowPoll: White Men Lead Democratic Primary Despite Focus On Identity Politics U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) speaks during a news conference on prescription drugs January 10, 2019 at the Capitol in Washington, DC. Alex Wong/Getty Images By ASHE SCHOW @asheschow April 15, 2019 It’s almost as if a candidate’s skin color and genitals aren’t the main factors voters are concerned about. A new poll from Emerson College of Democrat primary voters found that the party’s current frontrunners are all white men. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) leads with 29% of the vote, with former Vice President Joe Biden trailing behind him at 24%. South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg follows them at 9% and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke and California Sen. Kamala Harris are right behind at 8% each. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren rounds out the leaders at 7%. The remaining contenders polled at 3% and below, starting with former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro and entrepreneur Andrew Yang. In last place – behind even “Someone else,” is New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who has so far built her campaign on claims that women are oppressed in America. As my former colleague Philip Wegmann said on Twitter: “[W]hat do Mike Gravel, Tulsi Gabbard, and “someone else” all have in common? They’re beating Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.”
