www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/02/19/convict-who-thanked-new-york-democrats-for-abolishing-bail-arrested-for-140th-time/A convicted felon who thanked New York Democrats this week for eliminating bail for a series of crimes deemed “non-violent” was arrested for the 140th time, just days after he was released from New York City Police Department (NYPD) custody. Career criminal Charles Barry, 56-years-old, was arrested Tuesday evening by NYPD for allegedly scamming a Belgian tourist on the New York City subway, provoking his 140th arrest, as the New York Daily News noted. Barry is likely to be released from jail almost immediately, yet again, thanks to New York’s new bail reform — signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) — that frees suspects back into the public almost immediately following their arrest. NYPD told the Daily News that Barry will be charged with fraudulent accosting, a charge where he will pay no bail to get out of jail. The crimes for which bail has been eliminated include second-degree manslaughter, aggravated vehicular assault, third-degree assault, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, criminally negligent homicide, or aggravated vehicular homicide. Barry had just been arrested for the 139th time earlier this week, as Breitbart News reported, and thanked elected Democrats in New York for passing the bail reform law that allows him to be released every time he is arrested for a crime considered “non-violent.” “I’m famous! I take $200, $300 a day of your money, cracker! You can’t stop me!” Barry told a Daily News reporter. “Bail reform, it’s lit! It’s the Democrats! The Democrats know me and the Republicans fear me. You can’t touch me! I can’t be stopped!” “It’s a great thing. It’s a beautiful thing,” Barry said of the Democrats’ bail reform law. “They punk’d people out for bullshit crimes.” Thus far, Barry has been arrested a total of seven times in New York City since Cuomo signed the bail reform law. Each time, he was almost immediately released from jail. Barry’s criminal record includes six felony convictions, 87 misdemeanor convictions, and 21 skipped court hearings. Barry’s record also includes spending six criminal sentences in state prison, including stints for drug dealing and grand larceny. In another case, six accused drug dealers — three of whom are illegal aliens — were freed by New York after their arrangement following their arrests for allegedly operating a $7 million heroin-fentanyl packaging ring in the Bronx. Likewise, an illegal alien now accused of murdering a 92-year-old elderly woman in Queens, New York, was set free from jail thanks to the bail reform law months before the alleged murder. The bail reform law allows accused criminals to inspect their own crime scenes with their attorneys and mandates that the prosecution hand over all the names of witnesses set to testify against a defendant within two weeks of their arrest. That specific provision has already been blamed for the murder of a 36-year-old witness who was expected to testify against MS-13 gang members in a criminal trial. The murder occurred after the witness’s name was handed over to attorneys representing the accused.

www.dailywire.com/news/democrat-gov-gavin-newsom-doctors-should-be-able-to-prescribe-housing-like-medicationDemocrat Gov Gavin Newsom: Doctors Should Be Able To Prescribe Housing Like Medication Far-left California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom said on Wednesday that he believes medical doctors should be able to prescribe people housing in the same manner that they prescribe medication to people who are sick. “Health care and housing can no longer be divorced. After all, what’s more fundamental to a person’s well-being than a roof over their head?” Newsom said during his State of the State address. “Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing the same way they do for insulin or antibiotics.” “Why not?” Newsom continued. “That’s the aim of CalAIM, transforming Medi-Cal as we know it, backed by a $695 million budget request to make this real.” “Of course, the effectiveness of all of this hinges on an individual being capable of accepting help, to get off the streets and into treatment in the first place,” Newsom added. “Some, tragically, are not. That’s why we need better legal tools, ones that allow local governments, health providers, and law enforcement to more effectively help people access the treatment they need.” “California’s behavioral health laws may have been ahead of their time, but today, call out for reform,” Newsom continued. “We must tailor these policies to reflect the realities of street homelessness today, which are so different than they were 50 or even 15 years ago when these laws were enacted.” WATCH:

Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Eric Garcetti posted a disturbing anti-American video in which he instructed undocumented aliens on how to evade law enforcement and ICE.
Mayor Garcetti, along with Los Angeles police chief Michel Moore, claimed that immigration was a federal matter and is not related to public safety.
The mayor’s office also released a printable pdf for undocumented aliens that contains written instructions on how to evade ICE agents.

"Y'all scared, just like your president ... America is not great, (expletive)," Smith could allegedly be heard saying on a Snapchat video obtained by police during the incident. James Gonzales said Smith and Perry-Jones are accused of driving in their car, running the teen boys off of the road, and making threats toward them. The detective just received charges on this Thursday, Gonzales said. The delay was because of information police were waiting on from Snapchat, he added. dailycaller.com/2020/02/21/andrew-cuomo-offers-green-light-concession/emocratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday he is willing to offer the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) all information from DMV databases, with the exception of social security numbers, as part of a compromise with DHS. Following immense backlash from the state’s law enforcement community, Cuomo on Friday said he is willing to offer DHS a compromise on a sanctuary law that bars information sharing between DMV and federal immigration authorities. The governor said he’s willing to give DHS all information from state DMV databases, but will not offer social security numbers. “I would give them anything but the Social Security numbers,” Cuomo said during a Friday radio interview. “The Social Security numbers are the indicator have documented or undocumented. I will never give them the Social Security numbers in the DMV database.” The capitulation came after DHS and members of the law enforcement community have vehemently criticized a New York law, known as the “Green Light” law, that not only allows illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses, but also forbids information sharing between state DMVs and federal authorities. Namely, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are barred from accessing state DMV databases. US-CRIME-STABBING New York Governor Andrew Cuomo speaks to the media outside the home of rabbi Chaim Rottenbergin Monsey, in New York on December 29, 2019 after a machete attack that took place earlier outside the rabbi’s home during the Jewish festival of Hanukkah in Monsey, New York. (Photo by KENA BETANCUR/AFP via Getty Images) CBP and other immigration authorities say the information they obtain from DMVs is necessary to conduct their jobs. Because of the law, DHS revoked all New York applications for the federal government’s trusted traveler programs, saying that they can’t verify records without the information. In addition to seeing his constituents lose their trusted traveler benefits, numerous law enforcement unions in the state came out publicly against the law, including the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, the New York Association of Chiefs of Police, and the New York State Sheriffs’ Association. Primis Player Placeholder Cuomo recently met with President Donald Trump on a possible compromise, but not agreement was met. Would allowing access to all data except for social security numbers be enough to suffice DHS concerns? It’s not yet known, and DHS has yet to announce anything, but a spokeswoman did react to Cuomo’s recent comments. (RELATED: DHS Suspends New Yorkers From Its Trusted Travelers Programs In Wake Of Illegal Alien ID Law) “Last week’s meeting with the [DHS acting chief Chad Wolf], [Cuomo], and [Trump] was positive & productive. Since then, DHS and NYS officials have been working closely to come to a mutually-agreeable solution. At this time we have nothing to announce but look forward to a positive outcome,” DHS spokeswoman Heather Swift tweeted Friday.

thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/484019-california-delivers-swift-suit-after-trump-orders-water-diversionThe state of California sued the White House late Thursday after President Trump ordered the state to reconfigure its water plan, funneling more water from the north to a thirsty agriculture industry and growing population further south. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra argued the administration violated the law by failing to consider a number of environmental impacts or giving an opportunity for the public to comment. “As we face the unprecedented threat of a climate emergency, now is the time to strengthen our planet’s biodiversity, not destroy it,” Becerra said in a statement. “California won’t silently spectate as the Trump Administration adopts scientifically-challenged biological opinions that push species to extinction and harm our natural resources and waterways.” The suit was filed a little more than 24 hours after Trump signed the order in front of a crowd in Bakersfield, Calif., flanked by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Rep. Davin Nunes (R-Calif.). The move was made possible after Trump ordered the Department of the Interior to redo biological assessments that for decades had blocked water diversion, finding that lower flows would hurt various types of fish. Critics fear the new plan, which would allow large quantities of water to be diverted from the San Francisco Bay Delta to the Central Valley in order to irrigate farmland, would ultimately harm chinook salmon and the delta smelt, a finger-sized fish that for three decades has stood in the way of the diversion. On Wednesday, Trump said the changes to the “outdated scientific research and biological opinions” would now help direct “as much water as possible, which will be a magnificent amount, a massive amount of water for the use of California farmers and ranchers.” “A major obstacle to providing water for the region's farmers has now been totally eliminated by the federal government,” he said. Becerra listed off a host of reasons the new biological opinions from Interior don’t meet legal requirements, including that they ignore “the requirement that a biological opinion must consider not only the continued survival of listed species, but also their recovery.” The new opinions didn’t include proper analysis of the effects of water diversion, he said, while improperly relying on other uncertain factors to argue the fish species would not be harmed. Trump’s order also violated the National Environmental Policy Act, the suit argues, “by failing to provide the public with a meaningful opportunity to comment” on the diversion. Interior Secretary David Bernhardt defended the work that went into crafting the new opinions as science-based and warned California about the road ahead. "The governor and attorney general just launched a ship into a sea of unpredictable administrative and legal challenges regarding the most complex water operations in the country, something they have not chartered before," he said in a statement. "Litigation can lead to unpredictable twists and turns that can create significant challenges for the people of California who depend on the sound operation of these two important water projects.” The suit is filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Taking a cut of the money people are being paid to have sex with other people...there is a name for that that escapes me right at this moment but I know I'll remember. Oh yeah, Pimp. www.dailywire.com/news/california-lawmakers-want-adult-entertainers-to-receive-certificate-of-training-completionCalifornia Assemblymember Lorena Gonzales (D-San Diego), author of the labor law that has essentially declared war on the state’s gig worker economy, may have a new magnum opus. Earlier this week, Gonzales and Assemblymember Christina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens) proposed a bill that would require adult entertainers, performers, and web-cam models to undergo state-mandated training and obtain a “certificate of training completion” before entertainers are permitted to film on camera. According to the text of the bill, the training course would provide information on the rights of adult entertainers, including information about how to report workplace abuse or injuries. Entertainers would also receive information about how to identify victims of human trafficking, and undergo fingerprinting. Garcia told Reason Magazine that the final training course will resemble the certification process used in other industries, including the food service industries. If the proposal becomes law and the certification process does, in fact, come to resemble that of the food service industry, prospective adult entertainers may come to anticipate practice drills, flash cards, and a fair bit of cramming. According to the proposal, the training curriculum would be developed by an adult entertainment advisory committee, which would consist of ten people, including two adult entertainers, three dancers, two doctors, a therapist and a money manager, who would each receive $200 each day the committee meets. While the proposal doesn’t state how long the training will take, prospective certified adult entertainers can expect to spend a minimum of 2 hours and 45 minutes, and the online version will include “an interactive feature.” However, anyone who wants to take the exam will have to pay for it themselves. According to Reason Magazine, Alana Evans, the president of an adult entertainer guild, has come out against the proposal, and lambasted Gonzales for not mentioning the proposal when they recently met to discuss the gig worker law. “We are shocked, disgusted and angry that our parent union did this without discussing it with APAG, without discussing it with the industry and without discussing it with stakeholders,” said Evans. “Nobody contacted us about this. Not the [International Adult Entertainment Union], not Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, who I met Thursday to discuss A.B. 5.” The guild is also concerned that the proposal prohibits anyone under the age of 21 from taking the training course, and thus prevent people under 21 from entering the adult entertainment industry, reports the news agency. Gonzales has since distanced herself from the proposal, claiming that it contains mistakes, and that she wouldn’t vote for it herself. The assembly member also claims the “bill idea” was proposed by the International Entertainment Adult Union, the parent union of the adult performers guild, but it isn’t clear who actually wrote it. This wouldn’t be the first time Gonzales proposed a disaster of a law. As The Daily Wire reported in September, former California Senator Barbara Boxer published an op-ed correctly noting that it would create “anxiety and loss of income for thousands of workers” who rely on the flexibility of gig jobs to earn a living.

Yahoo Sports reported, “The USWNT’s lawyers filed a motion for summary judgment, which means the judge would find the players had been discriminated against without the need to go to trial. As part of that, they filed a lengthy analysis determining the women were due up to $67 million in retroactive pay. U.S. Soccer stated, as NBC News reported: Women’s national team players are paid differently because they specifically asked for and negotiated a completely different contract than the men’s national team, despite being offered, and rejecting, a similar pay-to-play agreement during the past negotiations. Their preference was a contract that provides significant additional benefits that the men’s national team does not have, including guaranteed annual salaries, medical and dental insurance, paid child-care assistance, paid pregnancy and parental leave, severance benefits, salary continuation during periods of injury, access to a retirement plan, multiple bonuses and more. Molly Levinson. spokeswoman for the women, countered: In the most recent CBA negotiation, USSF repeatedly said that equal pay was not an option regardless of pay structure. USSF proposed a “pay to play structure” with less pay across the board. In every instance for a friendly or competitive match, the women players were offered less pay that their male counterparts. This is the very definition of gender discrimination, and of course the players rejected it. As Matt Walsh wrote in The Daily Wire last July, “… historically U.S. men’s soccer has generated more revenue than U.S. women’s soccer. That gap has closed in recent years, and now the women generate slightly more than the men — though this only takes into account ticket sales, not TV deals and merchandise. But the pay gap in U.S. soccer is not nearly as large as advertised. The highest-paid female soccer players in this country are paid almost the same as the highest-paid male soccer players. The pay gap in U.S. soccer only widens among the lower-tier players.” Click to find out more about a new promotion Don't miss this content from our sponsor See More Walsh quoted The New York Times: According to figures provided by U.S. Soccer, since 2008 it has paid 12 players at least $1 million. Six of those players were men, and six were women. And the women hold their own near the top of the pay scale; the best-paid woman made about $1.2 million from 2008 to 2015, while the top man made $1.4 million in the same period. Some women in the top 10 even made more than their male counterparts over those years. Walsh continued, “The really significant pay gap, and the one that gets most of the press, is in the World Cup payouts. FIFA, the international soccer organization, will give about $400 million to male players in the World Cup, while female players will make around $30 million. When you hear that male players make 10 times what female players make, this is the figure that justifies the claim.”

www.breitbart.com/clips/2020/02/21/la-times-film-critic-trump-saying-he-likes-gone-with-the-wind-is-a-racist-dog-whistle/Los Angeles Times film critic Justin Chang said Friday on CNN that President Donald Trump mentioning the movie “Gone With the Wind” at his rally was a “racist dog whistle.” Chang said, “It’s kind of unfortunate, I think, that we have a president whose entire presidency is founded on xenophobia and of course his comments are not surprising coming from someone who likes to dehumanize people of other cultures and people of color. So none of that’s surprising.” He continued, “Well, that whole thing, “Gone with the Wind” and “Sunset Boulevard,” that all smacks of a dog whistle hearkening back to an earlier era of Hollywood greatness. Look, we can love “Gone with the Wind,” and also acknowledge it’s the romantic view of the old South, which many people find problematic. That is another racist dog whistle as well.” He added, “I think it’s real laziness on his part. He is just someone who is very lazy. I think to say that. You know, a lot of people say this, there are no movies being made in the present today that are as good as the classics that were made 50 or 60 years ago. And it’s totally fine that Trump is, you know, out of touch with popular culture. You know, he has or should have better things to do like running the country, but he really should think twice about speaking about things of which he is so woefully ignorant.”

The city of Cambridge, Massachusetts just passed a new law which seems to give illegal immigrants more rights than American citizens. Under the new law, the city’s police are advised not to arrest illegal immigrants who are caught driving without a license. The city is doing this specifically to shield illegals from ICE. FOX 25 in Boston reports: www.boston25news.com/news/under-new-cambridge-law-undocumented-immigrants-cant-be-arrested-driving-without-license/HWLLA3N77BA4LH55TDLIIUE7SI/Under new Cambridge law, undocumented immigrants won’t be arrested for driving without a license
It’s the law that you need a license to drive.
But, if you’re undocumented and driving without a license in Cambridge, police have been advised not to arrest you for that.
It’s all part of a new law that passed unanimously in the city, which encourages police to summons unlicensed drivers instead of arresting them. The procedure has already been practiced for a while, but city leaders said they felt compelled to officially make it a law, in fear of what could happen to immigration laws should President Trump be re-elected.
“We need to protect our community members from a federal government that’s out of control,” said Cambridge City Councilor Quinton Zondervan. “There are no other reasons for the police to arrest someone, give them a court summons instead which keeps them out of the clutches of the Trump administration.”
Currently, Massachusetts requires drivers to show proof of legal status in order to obtain a driver’s license, a move that many have opposed saying it makes roads more dangerous. Even more astounding, is the fact that local officials seem proud of this move. www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/illegal-immigrants-in-massachusetts-city-wont-be-arrested-if-they-drive-without-a-licenseIllegal immigrants in Massachusetts city won’t be arrested if they drive without a license Police had already been advised to follow this protocol for some time, but the council voted unanimously to make it a law, according to the Tuesday report. The law doesn’t restrict police from arresting drivers if they have additional violations besides the lack of a driver’s license. It does, however, keep police from asking if a driver is a legal citizen. The Massachusetts Legislature’s Joint Committee on Transportation gave its support for a different bill earlier in February that would allow illegal immigrants to obtain state driver’s licenses… Cambridge, which is home to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, became a sanctuary city in 1985, and city officials have become more vocal about sticking to the status since President Trump took office. “At the end of the day, we have to have a real conversation and understand that these folks seeking asylum are people,” Cambridge Mayor Marc McGovern said during a Fox News hit in 2019. “They are not cargo.”

Rod Blagojevich, who recently declared himself a “Trumpocrat,” will “backfire.” Horwitz, who is from Illinois, said that many people outside of the state do not realize that Blagojevich was “an incredibly popular governor” and that the Democrats’ opposition to his commutation will “backfire.” “Sen. Durbin, when Trump initially proposed giving a pardon or commuting Rod’s sentence earlier in the year, he said, yeah, Trump should commute the sentence,” Horwitz said, quoting Durbin, who previously called the sentence “outrageous.” “What Blagojevich did is what we all know that goes on basically every day on Capitol Hill,” Horwitz said, explaining that the Democrats’ turn on the former governor will backfire due, in part, to the successes he saw during his term. “What people don’t realize is that in Illinois this is going to backfire on Democrats because Rod Blagojevich is not only an incredibly talented and charismatic speaker, and now he’s going to be campaigning with the Republicans, but what he got done in Illinois,” he explained. “Seniors and the disabled were riding the bus for free — over 275,000 people. He established the All Kids program, which gave over 400,000 kids health care, making Illinois the first state in the nation to provide affordable and comprehensive health care to all children. We have led the nation in providing preschool access for all three- and four-year-olds with his Preschool for All program. This was a very popular governor who got caught saying things that, frankly, other politicians do all the time, and it was unfortunate to see all the Democrats who were calling for the commutation of his sentence to immediately backtrack after President Trump did it. While Horwitz, a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), emphasized that he is not a supporter of President Trump, he said it is important for people to “be able to at least acknowledge when he does things that are good.” “And what he did here was a good thing. Rod deserves to be free,” he said. “This man is extraordinarily charismatic, and for him to focus his efforts on criminal justice reform and helping the president with that effort could spell a lot of trouble for the Democrats,” he continued. “And it’s just, you know, Obama would have pardoned Blagojevich, but he was concerned about his legacy and what it would bring up,” he said. “Obama was mingling with a lot of the same people.” “Anytime anybody comes out to support the president, they’re going to get big pushback from the major networks,” Horwitz said of the backlash against Blagojevich. “And, again, I’m not a supporter of the president, but it’s kind of hard to blame Blagojevich for jumping on the train of the guy who let him out of prison.” Horwitz added that “Republicans are making a strong play” at criminal justice reform, which could end up being a “real problem” for Democrats. Trump, he believes, is making a “very successful” play at courting minority voters this election cycle.

But, it's cool if Obama, etc do it though................................ www.breitbart.com/clips/2020/02/23/murphy-trump-administration-is-weaponizing-classified-information/Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” accused the Trump administration of weaponizing classified information. He said there were “multiple instances” of this occurring. Murphy said, “I am worried about is the politicization of intelligence by this administration. The new acting head of intelligence has no background in intel. He is a trump loyalist, and we all worry about this administration controlling massive amounts of intelligence, massive amounts of classified information, and leaking it out to the press when it advantages them. I have been very worried about the kind of information that the Trump administration keeps classified.” He continued, “There are multiple instances of the Trump administration keeping classified information could be politically embarrassing to the president, but it does not hold true national security classified information. So the weaponized of classified information is something that we are more worried about, especially with the new acting director of intelligence.” He added, “The meeting with Mike Pence with Ukraine that was kept classified in the impeachment proceedings and contained no classified information and the reason it is classified is because it would have hurt the president’s case in the impeachment trial.”

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is being called on to resign from his nightly hosting gig after comparing Sen. Bernie Sanders’s win in the Nevada caucuses to the Nazi invasion of France in 1940.
“I was reading last night about the fall of France in the summer of 1940,” Matthews said during MSNBC’s live coverage of the caucuses on Saturday. “And the general, Reynaud, calls up Churchill and says, ‘It’s over.’ And Churchill says, ‘How can that be? You’ve got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?’ He said, ‘It’s over.'”

"When you’re looking at ISIS or you’re looking at radical Islamic terrorism, I covered a number of stories where the FBI would track young kids or young men and they would talk to them online and say ‘you know, here’s how you build a bomb,’ or ‘here’s where you get your bomb making materials,’ and they track that person as that person radicalized and then arrested them before they could do anything bad,” Tur said. “Why is the same not being done for white extremists or is the same being done and we just don’t know about it?”

www.dailywire.com/news/cnn-continues-bizarre-obsession-over-trumps-eating-habits-this-time-over-food-choices-in-indiaCNN Continues Bizarre Obsession Over Trump’s Eating Habits, This Time Over Food Choices In India Liberal “news” network CNN has a weird obsession with President Trump’s eating habits. As the president and first lady were flying to India for a whirlwind 36-hour state visit on Sunday, CNN posted a story headlined, “‘I have never seen him eat a vegetable:’ Trump braces for a beef-free menu in India.” “When President Donald Trump travels abroad — be it to Saudi Arabia or Singapore — his hosts usually try make him feel at home with his favorite meal: steak with miniature bottles of ketchup on the side. But what’s a beef-lover to do in India?” said the piece, which took three people to write. “The President, whose diet is often a rotation of steaks, burgers and meatloaf, faces a potential shock as he prepares to travel to three Indian cities this week. His trip includes stops in Gujarat state, Agra and Delhi, where Hindus are the majority and cows are revered as sacred. In some neighborhoods, meat eating is so taboo that it’s not done in public.” See, in India, cows are revered and not on the menu, so what will Trump, who likes meat, do?! Then CNN does what it often does: quote some unnamed sources. “A person close to the President who has dined with him on several occasions said Trump has salad with a meal every now and then — but other than that, ‘I have never seen him eat a vegetable.'” Then the three authors turned to someone identified only as a “former official,” who said, “I don’t know what he’s going to do in this case.” That’s right, CNN didn’t talk about the crucial U.S. and India alliance, the important military and trade deals the two nation were set to make, or the massive rally Trump was set to hold, which drew some 125,000 to a massive cricket stadium. No, The Most Trusted Name In News thinks what you really need to know about is the fact that “even one of the President’s favorite fast food restaurants, McDonald’s, doesn’t serve beef in India.” CNN got mocked for the weird obsession about what Trump eats. “If there was just one article that encapsulated how CNN’s obsession with attacking President Trump borders on parody, this might be it,” Media Research Center analyst Kristine Marsh wrote on Newsbusters. “The rhetorical thrust of this particular story, however, seems to be that Trump is ethnocentric and quirky,” DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall told Fox News. “For CNN, this story is not so much about giving the public a look into Trump’s trip to India as it is to characterize Trump’s picky personal habits. That Trump is particular on these matters just makes him like most other American presidents over the years,” McCall said. But CNN got all wee-weed up whenever former President Barack Obama popped out for a hamburger (which he did often, always bringing a throng of photographers to capture the “regular guy” eating some regular food). Back then, it was deemed cool — not “ethnocentric.” CNN has even mocked Trump for the way he once took a sip of water while giving a speech. “That is the sippy-cup grip that you’re using right now,” Chris Cuomo said in December 2017. The CNN host then held a vase like he was drinking, saying, “This is what I drink out of and I hold it like a man, with one hand. That’s me.” When the New York Times reported that Trump sometimes downs 12 Diet Cokes in a day, CNN was there with the breaking news. “A 12 Diet Cokes-a-day habit like Trump’s is worth changing,” a concerned CNN wrote in 2017. “One-a-day diet soda drinkers were nearly three times as likely as those who never drink diet soda to be diagnosed with dementia, as well, the researchers found,” CNN said. Boom! If one soda a day can do that, a dozen must surely mean Trump has dementia, right? And of course, CNN was all over “Ice Cream Gate.” “According to an extensive interview with TIME Magazine, Trump’s White House staff has settled into Trump’s routine and know his desires, sometimes before he does,” CNN reported. “For example: Trump takes two scoops of ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, TIME reported, while everyone else around the table gets just one.” The three CNN reporters also claimed in their Sunday piece that Trump — who has been traveling the world for 50 years — is “an impatient traveler, one who does not particularly relish experiencing foreign cultures and would prefer instead to be sleeping in his own bed.” All that is intended to fit the narrative that Trump is an uncouth, unsophisticated rube who can’t tolerate foreigners and their cultures. Which is why Trump calls the network “fake news.”

www.dailywire.com/news/christian-students-sue-city-of-chicago-after-theyre-stopped-from-preaching-chicago-losesFour Evangelical Christian students from Wheaton College outside Chicago were prevented from engaging in open air evangelizing and dissemination of religious literature at Millennium Park, a beloved public park and major tourist attraction for the city of Chicago, by the park’s security team. They filed suit against the city in September 2019, and last week a judge ruled in their favor, stating that they had a First Amendment right to evangelize. Matt Swart, Jeremy Chong, Gabriel Emerson, and Caeden Hood sued the city of Chicago, arguing the city’s restrictions violated their First Amendment rights to evangelize and disseminate religious literature, which they had done every Friday. The document with the judge’s decision states, “The City views the Park as a unique space— one that showcases world-class art, music, architecture, and landscape design. Accordingly, the City enacted restrictions it claims protects the Park’s aesthetic integrity.” According to the court, Scott Stewart, Executive Director of the Millennium Park Foundation stated that the park consisted not of a single, undifferentiated space, but rather of several subspaces (or “rooms”) differentiated by, among other things, lines of trees or other foliage, changes in topography, and changes in the color of walking surfaces. The court delineated how the students had been harassed: In December 2018, Swart, Hood, and other members of the Chicago Evangelism Team gathered at the Park to engage in open air evangelism and distribute religious literature. Park security approached Plaintiffs and informed them they were prohibited from disseminating literature. The students ceased distributing their literature, and then Hood began to evangelize. After a few minutes, Park security again approached Plaintiffs and informed them they had to stop evangelizing. At that point, Swart informed security staff that because they were on a public sidewalk, they had the right to continue speaking. A security guard insisted he was “just doing his job,” and informed the students they could speak to his supervisor. Based on the guard’s intervention, these students then ceased their evangelism activities. About ten minutes later, Chong arrived at the Park, and the students informed him what had just transpired. Chong nonetheless began evangelizing. Park security then approached Chong and directed him to stop. Chong asked to speak with a supervisor. Soon thereafter, two Park supervisors arrived and informed the students that they were in violation of a Chicago ordinance prohibiting solicitation on the sidewalk between Randolph and Roosevelt Streets. Members of the Chicago Evangelism Team returned to the Park in the subsequent weeks; they again attempted to evangelize but Park security guards prohibited them from doing so. On one occasion, Park employees prohibited them from evangelizing near the Bean. On another occasion, a Park employee informed them they could not discuss religion in the Park and ordered them to leave the Park if they wished to speak about religion. On April 5, 2019, Chong again went to the Park to evangelize; at that time, Public Recreational Operations Manager Christopher Deans approached Chong and provided him with newly enacted rules governing the Park. Deans informed Chong that the rules restricted Chong’s activities. The judge concluded, “In sum, the City may not by “its own ipse dixit” destroy the public forum status of parks. Although the City insists a curated design divests the Park of its traditional public nature, this Court cannot accept this characterization based upon the facts here. Indeed, if a “curated design” were enough to transform the nature of the forum, any park with a statue could lose its First Amendment protections. The law precludes this absurd result.” After the ruling had been issued, Chong stated, “[This is about] getting the gospel to people because we love them. If somebody believes that the Willis Tower is going to collapse in an hour, it doesn’t matter what they believe,” adding that it was a calling to “run into the building and warn people that it’s going to collapse.”

www.dailywire.com/news/star-trek-actor-walter-koenig-bashes-trump-voters-heinous-moment-in-american-historyAnother “Star Trek” regular has joined the chorus of “Star Trek” actors shamelessly bashing President Trump and his supporters: Walter Koenig, forever enshrined in the pop-cultural canon as Pavel Chekov from “Star Trek: The Original Series.” Speaking to the far-left outlet Salon on Monday, Koenig described the Trump era as “a particularly heinous moment in American history” while lamenting how Gene Rodenberry’s vision of the future failed to materialize. “The state of the world is dreadful. It depresses me to no end. ‘Star Trek’ is a welcome respite from the infamy of the Trump administration and all the problems we are living with,” said Koenig. “I think this is a particularly heinous moment in American history with Donald Trump. This is not only because of a few individuals who now have control of the government but that there is so much support for them. There’s so much vitriol, discontent and anger. These people are willing to sacrifice the good things in our culture and in our life to support evil things. We as a country and a culture have not gotten to a positive place of progress from which we are not willing to retreat from.” “It just goes on and on,” he continued. “We have the good folks, the people that we believe in. For example, when Barack Obama became president, I thought to myself, ‘My God. We have really turned a corner. I am so proud to live to see this happen.’ And then we have Donald Trump. There is a certain despair that follows me, that haunts me, because we’re still doing the same things.” Koenig, however, urged people to hold on to hope that the world will get better. “If we do not have hope, then we’re surrendering. Then we’re giving up,” he said. “Hope may be temporary. It may last for five years or 10 years. We are driven to make things better. We have that dream to make a better world.” Koenig is far from the first and only “Star Trek” cast member to publicly bash Trump. In fact, Sir Patrick Stewart made it his mission to have the recent “Star Trek: Picard” reboot reflect the “f**ked” world of Brexit and Trump. “In a way, the world of ‘Next Generation’ had been too perfect and too protected,” said Stewart told Variety. “It was the Enterprise. It was a safe world of respect and communication and care and, sometimes, fun. [The show] was me responding to the world of Brexit and Trump and feeling, ‘Why hasn’t the Federation changed? Why hasn’t Starfleet changed?’ Maybe they’re not as reliable and trustworthy as we all thought.” “I’m not sure which one of us is in the most trouble,” added Stewart. “I think it’s actually the U.K. I think we’re f***ed, completely f***ed.” Prior to that interview, Stewart apologized on behalf of his British citizens for the Brexit vote. Former “Star Trek” actor George Takei routinely bashes President Trump on his Twitter page. “The thing about Trump voters is that they do not even realize they are enabling the desolation of our Republic,” Takei recently wrote.

www.dailywire.com/news/cruz-torches-sotomayor-like-an-arsonist-complaining-about-the-noise-from-the-fire-trucksDuring a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) compared left-leaning Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor to an “arsonist” and turned her complaint against her fellow justices on its head. On Friday night, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of the Trump administration’s request for an emergency stay on a lower court’s nationwide injunction against its “public charge” rule — which bans non-citizens from receiving a green card if the government believes those non-citizens would rely on public assistance — while the administration appeals the injunction. In her dissenting opinion on the ruling, Sotomayor attacked the five justices on the court who ruled in favor of the Trump administration. The justices, Sotomayor strongly suggested in the scathing dissent, have demonstrated bias for the Trump administration rather than a commitment to upholding the Constitution. “[T]he Court’s recent behavior on stay applications has benefited one litigant over all others,” she wrote suggestively. “It is hard to say what is more troubling, that the Government would seek this extraordinary relief seemingly as a matter of course, or that the Court would grant it,” Sotomayor opined. Cruz, a Harvard-educated constitutional lawyer, addressed Sotomayor’s widely reported complaint against her fellow justices during a hearing on courts’ use of such nationwide injunctions on Tuesday. “I read it a little bit like an arsonist complaining about the noise from the fire trucks,” Cruz said of Sotomayor’s minority opinion, as reported by Fox News. Get 4 Lines for $25 a Month when you Switch to Boost Mobile Get 4 Samsung Galaxy phones when you make the switch to Boost’s super reliable, super-fast nationwide network Ad By Boost Mobile See More The progressive justice, Cruz suggested, has the whole problem backwards. The issue is not that the Trump administration is requesting emergency stays on lower court’s injunctions, or that the Supreme Court is granting those stays. The problem is that activist judges in lower courts are excessively blocking Trump administration policies. “If you look to the facts of what’s happening with nationwide injunctions, I think it will explain why the Department of Justice has had to ask the Supreme Court to intervene over and over again,” said Cruz. Watch this quick video to learn more This advertiser wants to share their trending video Ad By Sponsor See More The judges repeatedly blocking Trump administration policies, argued Cruz, are acting more like “partisan political activists” than fair-minded judges. Cruz also pointed out that a mere “handful of judges” are the ones who are preventing the administration from carrying out federal policies, a third of the injunctions having originated in California courts. These judges are “operating effectively as part of the resistance movement,” abusing their authority to block Trump administration policies “they happen to disagree with,” the senator maintained. In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of the stay, the White House issued a statement over the weekend defending the rationale of its “public charge” rule. “This final rule will protect hardworking American taxpayers, safeguard welfare programs for truly needy Americans, reduce the Federal deficit, and re-establish the fundamental legal principle that newcomers to our society should be financially self-reliant and not dependent on the largesse of United States taxpayers,” the White House said. As The Daily Wire reported, Trump also blasted Sotomayor for her criticism of the other justices, calling her complaint “a terrible thing to say” and suggesting she and fellow progressive Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg “should recuse themselves on all Trump, or Trump related, matters!”
