dailycaller.com/2020/01/25/obama-called-trump-fascist/Former President Barack Obama reportedly called President Donald Trump a “fascist” during a 2016 phone call. Democratic Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, who ran as 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s running mate, said Obama called Trump a “fascist” during the call. The comments come from a clip in an upcoming documentary about Clinton, NBC News reported. “President Obama called me last night and said, ‘Tim, remember, this is no time to be a purist. You’ve got to keep a fascist out of the White House,'” Kaine reportedly said in October 2016, adding that Obama “knows me and he knows that I could tend to err.” (RELATED: ‘Nobody Likes Him’: Hillary Clinton Lets Loose On Bernie Sanders In New Documentary) Hillary Clinton stands with President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton during an election eve rally on November 7, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. www.dailywire.com/news/nypd-police-commissioner-crime-has-skyrocketed-because-of-democrats-bail-reformNYPD Police Commissioner: Crime Has Skyrocketed Because Of Democrats’ Bail Reform NYPD Police Commissioner Dermot Shea blamed Democrats’ bail reform during a press conference on Friday, saying that it was responsible for an explosion of crime around the city. “Since 2020 began, as of Friday at midnight, robberies are up 32.5 percent, car theft is up 61 percent and burglaries are up 18 percent compared to the same time period last year,” The New York Post reported. “And the numbers aren’t fractions either — a total of 233 more robberies have happened this year compared to last, 159 more car thefts and 125 more burglaries, just in the last three weeks.” “In the first three weeks of this year, we’re seeing significant spikes in crime. So either we forgot how to police New York City, or there’s a correlation,” Shea said. “If you let out individuals that commit a lot of crime, that’s precision policing in reverse and we’re seeing the effects in a very quick time, and that is why we’re so concerned.” “People say it just took effect, you can’t have consequences already. Take a look at the comp stat,” Shea continued. “We’re seeing it immediately at the same time that you have [state and local jail] populations dropping significantly. Now don’t tell me there’s not a correlation to that.” “You have to have a situation where dangerous individuals, or individuals that repeatedly commit crimes and victimize people, are kept in,” Shea added. “And if judges don’t have that ability, I think we’re all in trouble, and I don’t think any New Yorker wants that to happen.” Shea also hammered the new discovery laws that went into effect, noting that it needs to be addressed immediately. “The second piece is going to take longer and then it’s going to be a one-two punch as discovery takes hold,” Shea said. “Discovery is going to change how crimes are prosecuted in New York. … When you have instances where witnesses and victims will be afraid to call the police, that is a real problem and that needs to be fixed… this is something that affects all New Yorkers.” A separate report from The New York Post noted that the new law has freed nearly 20% of New York’s prison population. “Department of Correction statistics show there were a total of 5,569 people in city jails on Thursday, a 19% drop from the 6,877 counted on Nov. 21,” The New York Post reported. “Despite freed defendants getting busted for more alleged crimes — including accused bank robber Gerod Woodberry and alleged anti-Semitic slapper Tiffany Harris — Gov. Andrew Cuomo didn’t mention bail reform during his annual State of the State Address and legislative leaders aren’t making any moves to change the law.” Last month, Democrat New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told Fox News, “Let’s get clear on what’s going on here. We have a problem. We’re not going to jail our way out of the problem. We need tough consequences. We need a lot of police presence.” When asked if the policy was being soft on crime, de Blasio responded, “No, it’s not. It’s trying to get people out of crime and keep them out of crime. Look, if you want us to do what we have done for decades, which bred career criminals, which ensured that a lot of people were locked up and that only made them worse, we could keep doing that.”

Leftists attacking Kobe Bryant now that he is gone: www.zerohedge.com/political/wapo-cnn-reporters-spark-massive-backlash-kobe-was-rapist-tweetsWaPo, CNN Reporters Spark Massive Backlash With 'Kobe Was A Rapist' Tweets What kind of sensible person would feel compelled to call Kobe Bryant a rapist and trash his legacy in the hours after the devastating helicopter crash that left the NBA legend and his daughter, Gianna, dead? Unsurprisingly, the answer to that question is staff reporters at CNN and the Washington Post, among other media outlets. Bryant and his daughter were on their way to a travel basketball game. The victims in the crash also included another player and a parent. But that didn't stop the Washington Post's Felicia Somnez from sending a controversial tweet reminding the world about Bryant's "disturbing" rape case. The tweet was deleted, but a screenshot was preserved and published by the Daily Mail. Sonmez said she received death threats after posting the tweet, and added that she was inundated with more than 10,000 harassing and insulting messages in the wake of her tweet. We find it difficult to believe that she didn't anticipate this reaction. And unfortunately for her, this play for sympathy in the aftermath has decidedly backfired. Of course, Bryant is a 'rapist' at the moment of his death, but Fidel Castro was simply "Cuban dictator" - where were the reminders of the atrocities committed by his government? Hi Felicia. Any comment on why these two didn’t get the same treatment? pic.twitter.com/T9CKxHW9sF — Forum Non (@forumnon) January 26, 2020 Unsurprisingly, a Buzzfeed reporter tweeted the exact same thing. In response to Sonmez's claims that she was merely remembering Bryant's legacy "in totality," one twitter user cut right to the heart of why her tweet infuriated thousands of people. The backlash was just as intense after CNN's Nathan McDermott tweeted about the "very credible rape allegation" made against Bryant, neglecting to mention that the charges were dropped and the victim admitted she went on to have sex with another man less than a day after the incident with Bryant. Yes Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but he’s also faced a very credible rape accusation where the woman was choked and submitted to a rape-kit test which found injuries “not consistent with consensual sex.”https://t.co/HsItwC7VaC — Nathan McDermott (@natemcdermott) January 26, 2020 Think whatever you want about him, but if you think this is immaterial and shouldn’t be talked about in the aftermath of his death, well, I think you’re wrong. — Nathan McDermott (@natemcdermott) January 26, 2020 Even reporters with obscure sports media organizations managed to incite a massive backlash (and boost their own profile) with their critical Kobe tweets. One reporter with College Hockey News decried the "sick" people on twitter for inundating her with insults after she had the "audacity" to suggest that "sexual assault victims deserve compassion too" in the hours after the crash. We can have multiple feelings - be heartbroken over a tragic death, send thoughts & prayers to a family and also hold compassion for survivors — Jashvina Shah (@icehockeystick) January 26, 2020 You people are incredibly sick and have a true talent for truly not interpreting things correctly. You’re way off base here for many reasons and you can also keep your thoughts to yourself because no one asked you t.co/BbifKKsXp3— Jashvina Shah (@icehockeystick) January 27, 2020 Actress Evan Rachel Wood called Bryant a "rapist". What has happened is tragic. I am heartbroken for Kobe’s family. He was a sports hero. He was also a rapist. And all of these truths can exist simultaneously. — #EvanRachelWould (@evanrachelwood) January 26, 2020 Your gonna turn #MeToo into a joke. These things need to be taken seriously and your just looking for attention after him and his daughter JUST died. Wow. dailycaller.com/2020/01/27/washington-post-reporter-suspended-tweets-kobe-bryant/The Washington Post suspended a reporter Sunday after she tweeted a picture of her email’s inbox, showing threats she received following a post about NBA star Kobe Bryant’s rape case. Felicia Sonmez, a national politics reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted out a story from the Daily Beast about Bryant’s rape case shortly after reports of his death. Sonmez faced massive backlash after her tweet and subsequently posted images of her inbox to show the threats she was receiving. The reporter was suspended after sharing the image of her work email that included the full names of emailers, according to reports. The outlet did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller. (RELATED: BBC Apologizes After Airing LeBron James Footage During Kobe Bryant Tribute) Bryant, 41, died Sunday when his helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. His daughter Gianna Bryant, 13, also died in the crash, which killed a total of nine people. The cause of the crash is still unknown. In 2003, a 19-year-old accused Bryant of sexually assaulting in a hotel room in Colorado. The sexual assault case was dismissed after Bryant issued an apology in court. Bryant said he believed that the encounter was consensual, but understood later that the woman did not feel the same way.

Dr. Joseph Sakran panicked after hundreds of Twitter users exposed his hate hoax this week so he deleted his fake ‘death threat’ tweets then made up a bizarre story claiming the Fairfax police told him to delete his tweets.
It was all a lie.
A Lieutenant at Fairfax PD verified to The Post Millennial that Dr. Sakran never filed a police report nor did the Fairfax PD ask him to delete his tweet!

Minnesota’s Concordia College held an event on Martin Luther King Day for “white students only” to “recognize and acknowledge that there is a nasty little racist inside them.” The event was titled “How to Embrace Your Inner Racist: A Session for White People” and was organized and taught by Dr. Ahmed Afzaal, an associate professor of religion at Concordia. concordia-www.s3.amazonaws.com/files/resources/3-how-to-embrace-your-inner-racist.pdfThe session description said that after participating “attendees will be able to recognize and acknowledge that there is a nasty little racist inside them, and to do so without becoming angry or defensive” and that they will be able to “describe the skills of psychological flexibility that they must develop in order to make authentic choices in defiance of their racist tendencies.” The course description specifically stated that the session is “for White people only.” “While we won’t stop people of color from attending, they should know that their presence in the room is likely to interfere with the effectiveness of the session,” the professor noted. Campus Reform reports that the professor “has published such works as ‘Free Speech Comes with a Price Tag,’ and an essay about the peaceful application of jihad in the modern world.” A student at the college told CR that the event was “well attended” and estimated there were about 70 exclusively white students. “The room was packed with people sitting on the floor,” he said. “There was only white people there.” Another event on the same day was aimed specifically at white women. CR reports that Concordia Professor Karla Knutson who co-directs the Women’s and Gender Studies Department, led a session designed for white women called “And You Call Yourself an Ally.” The course description says that the goal is to “encourage white women to confront and analyze their participation and/or complicity in racist systems of oppression” and “create a foundational experience of exposure to white women’s microaggressions.” When the events started to draw criticism on social media, Concordia issued a statement defending the segregated, and arguably racist, courses. “Concordia College hosted speakers and break-out sessions throughout the day on Monday as part of its annual recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. All the sessions were intended to engage conversation on issues for which Dr. King dedicated his life. Concordia supports an environment where people can ask tough questions. All were allowed to attend any of the breakout sessions,” the statement declared.

www.dailywire.com/news/video-of-cnn-mocking-trump-supporters-goes-viral-trump-responds-by-swatting-don-lemonVideo Of CNN Mocking Trump Supporters Goes Viral; Trump Fires Back A clip from a recent disparaging discussion on CNN about Americans who support Donald Trump has gone viral, inspiring blowback from conservatives, Trump fans, and Trump himself. In the discussion, which occurred over the weekend, the host, Don Lemon, and two Trump critics, op-ed writer Wajahat Ali and Republican Rick Wilson, suggest that Trump supporters are illiterate “rubes” who can’t read a map or do basic math. Speaking of Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, Wilson said that he “knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it” — a line that Lemon found side-splittingly hilarious. Wilson then widened his mockery to include Trump’s “base” of supporters. “He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb,” said Wilson, adopting a southern accent. “You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling…” mocked Ali. “Your math, your reading,” said Wilson. “Yes, your reading, you know,” Ali added. “Your geography knowing other countries. Sipping your latte.” “All those lines on the map,” said Wilson, Lemon literally crying laughing at this point. “Only them elitists know where Ukraine is,” Ali said in his worst redneck imitation, before repenting, “Sorry. I apologize.” “Oh my god,” said Lemon, who laughed throughout the exchange and closed it with, “Rick, that was a good one. I needed that.” Video of the clip tweeted by former CNN senior digital producer Steve Krakauer, who noted the “arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents,” gained traction online: Responding to a tweet of the video by The Daily Caller, Trump took aim at the host. “Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!),” Trump wrote, both criticisms that he’s frequently leveled at Lemon and the network.

Early Tuesday morning, Trump’s daughter Ivanka took CNN to task for the panel, pointing out that the network constantly bemoans the divisions in the country while making fun of those who don’t vote Democrat. “You consistently make fun of half the country and then complain that it is divided,” Ivanka tweeted. “The arrogance, mocking accents and smug ridicule of this nation’s ‘Real Elites’ is disgusting.” As The Daily Wire previously reported, the panel consisted of writer Wajahat Ali and Republican consultant Rick Wilson, who claimed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it.” Wilson, using a southern accent, then took a shot at Trump supporters. “He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb.” Check out this quick video You may like this trending video Ad By Sponsor See More Ali then jumped in: “You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling…” Wilson added: “Your math, your reading.” Watch this new video for more information We wanted you to see this trending video Ad By Sponsor See More “Yes, your reading, you know,” Ali said. “Your geography knowing other countries. Lemon closed the segment by telling Wilson: “Rick, that was a good one. I needed that.” Trump took issue with the segment, tweeting to his millions of supporters that Lemon was “the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!).” Full transcript of the segment below: CNN’S DON LEMON: Oh as I said, NPR is standing by their reporter after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused her of lying. It is the latest in a growing list of incidents involving Pompeo and journalists. Joining me now to discuss, CNN Contributor Wajahat Ali and Rick Wilson. Rick is the author of “Running Against the Devil.” Good evening, gents. Good to see both of you. So, quite the story that we have here. Secretary of Pompeo is calling Kelly — calling her a liar but she says that she told them that she would — not only did she ask about Ukraine and she followed up in writing but she says that she never agreed for the exchange after the interview off the record. So, Rick, who do you think is a liar here? RICK WILSON, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: Look, Mike Pompeo has become one of the high priests of Trumpism. In the core of Trumpism is a war on the media. And so I think Mike Pompeo is trying to cast himself as this hero and to please Donald Trump. This isn’t about whether or not she could correctly identify Ukraine on a map, this is part of their performative, you know, media hatred that they engaged on the daily. LEMON: Wajahat, I want to bring you in. Mary Louise Kelly told NPR, an NPR co-host that before ending the interview, Pompeo, quote, leaned in and glared at her and then he tried to give her a pop quiz. I mean, what is with this intimidation mode? WAJAHAT ALI, CNN CONTRIBUTOR: Yes, this is the pathetic insecurity of the spineless amoebas of men such as Mike Pompeo and the other men in Trump’s administration, right? I mean, look, this is a recurring theme with Pompeo. He tried to intimidate a female reporter of the USA Today in May, he really doesn’t like it when female reporters in particular actually asking questions in our intelligence and do follow-ups. Our colleague in an affiliate in Nashville in August, same thing happened, and this time around he throws F bombs, he brings out a map. I mean, why does he have a map of without countries? That’s so strange. And then she points it out. And who should we believe? Mary Louise Kelly, a veteran journalist or Mike Pompeo who this month alone has lied to the American public about imminent threats, right? And this man from Harvard has redefined imminent in a way which is completely the opposite of imminent. And then it was imminent threat to not imminent then one embassy then four embassies. No casualties, 11 casualties, and now 34 casualties with soldiers suffering very traumatic brain injuries. So, who are you going to believe o? Mike Pompeo or Mary Louise Kelly who has the tapes? I’m going with Mary Louise Kelly. LEMON: OK. So let’s see. Let’s look at the — OK. In the statement, Rick, the last line Pompeo’s statement says, it is worth noting that Bangladesh is not Ukraine. First of all, Kelly has a master’s degree in European studies from Cambridge University. WILSON: Right. LEMON: Also, he doesn’t really say that she couldn’t identify Ukraine on a map. He insinuates — it’s just a petty attempt to put her down, right? Is that what this is? WILSON: Of course. Of course. It’s — he’s just trying to demean her, and obviously it’s false. And look, he also knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it. He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb. ALI: You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling even though — WILSON: Your math, your reading. ALI: Yes, your reading, you know. Your geography knowing other countries. Sipping your latte. WILSON: All those lines on the map. ALI: Only them elitists know where Ukraine is. Sorry. I apologize. LEMON: Oh my god. ALI: But you know what — it was Rick’s fault. I blame Rick. LEMON: Oh my God. ALI: But in all honesty — WILSON: Blame Rick, why not. ALI: — you know what NPR should do. LEMON: Sorry, hold on. Wait, wait. Give me a second. Hold on. Hold on. That was good. Sorry. Rick, that was a good one. I needed that.

www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-lemon-gives-disastrous-statement-in-response-to-outrage-over-segment-mocking-republicans-critics-fire-backWATCH: Lemon Gives Disastrous Statement In Response To Outrage Over Segment Mocking Republicans, Critics Fire Back CNN’s Don Lemon responded on Tuesday night to outrage over a segment from his show where he and his leftist guests mocked Trump supporters over the weekend as being rednecks by claiming that he could not hear everything that was said and that he was laughing at the joke, not a group of people. “And one final note that I have for you, because this is personally important to me to address this, OK?” Lemon said in a lowly voice. “Anyone, ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you, I don’t believe in belittling people, belittling anyone for who they are, what they believe, or where they are from.” “During an interview on Saturday night, one of my guests said something that made me laugh and while in the moment, I found that joke humorous,” Lemon continued. “And I didn’t catch everything that was said.” “Just to make this perfectly clear, I was laughing at the joke and not at any group of people,” Lemon claimed. Lemon’s claim does not stand up well to scrutiny because the numerous jokes that were made all mocked a group of people: Trump supporters. NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck debunked Lemon’s patently false claim that he does not “belittle” people with a series of tweets that highlighted past examples of incendiary things that Lemon has said about Trump supporters. A couple of examples included in Houck’s Twitter thread included: January 2018: “Admitting that for all their talk about making America great, the President is playing to a base that welcomes his racism and will enjoy it. That is disgraceful.” “And for all of you who have uttered that tired, lazy, uninformed, uneducated, ignorant response of calling out me and others who call out racist behaviors, racist? You know what you can go do? I can’t say that.” www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kristine-marsh/2018/01/12/don-lemon-lectures-trump-base-supporting-racist-makes-you-worseAugust 2018: “We’re up against people who will lie, steal, and cheat, lie to their mother, lie to themselves about what’s right of this country, about truth and facts. If they will ignore any misgiving, any terrible misdeed, any awful saying they will just ignore it for their own political purpose. They will ignore the bigotry and the pettiness and the childishness about what Donald Trump said about me and LeBron James and others just because they want to gain some sort of political clout or they want a few more dollars in tax money. At what cost?” www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2018/08/07/don-lemon-attacks-trump-supporters-who-steal-cheat-lie-theirFormer CNN contributor Steve Cortes fired back, writing: “Wow. Just watched @donlemon , expecting an apology for the outrageous mockery he & his guests directed toward millions of voters. Instead, he simply said he was laughing at the joke & not at any people? Well, Don, on behalf of the Deplorables, your non-apology is not accepted!” Lemon’s reaction to the incendiary remarks from his leftist guests garnered so much national outrage that the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a campaign ad and a fundraiser based on the video. “CNN anchor Don Lemon, The New York Times’ Wajahat Ali and winless carnival barker and scam PAC artist Rick Wilson let everyday Americans know what the establishment thinks about them: President Trump’s supporters are just a bunch of illiterate idiots deserving of the elites’ smug derision,” RNC Spokesman Steve Guest told The Daily Wire in a statement. “In a matter of seconds, CNN summed up the elite left’s disdain for half of America.” Guest added, “Reminder for voters: As Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders campaign across the South for your vote, Lemon, Ali, and Wilson just summarized what these candidates really think of you as they shake your hand and pose for selfies.”

thefederalist.com/2020/01/29/new-york-times-downplays-crucial-arab-support-of-trumps-mideast-peace-plan/New York Times Downplays Crucial Arab Support Of Trump’s Mideast Peace Plan The foreign policy media crowd minimizes the fact that Trump's plan for peace in the Mideast is supported by many Arab countries. JANUARY 29, 2020 By Erielle Davidson In a totally predictable ploy aimed at salvaging the remnants of the Obama foreign policy legacy, the New York Times published a report on Tuesday titled “A Muted Arab Response to Trump’s Mideast Peace Plan.” The caption read, “The U.S. is banking on Arab leaders to help make its plan for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict work. It is not clear how realistic that is.” The feigned skepticism is a masterful stroke the media often employs in order to project disaster upon a given foreign policy maneuver with little to no evidence. It’s what the national security media did vis-à-vis Iran, the Embassy move to Jerusalem, and now, Trump’s peace plan meant to bring to an end the decades-long conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. They are never right, and we should stop listening to them. But just how wrong are they? The Jerusalem Post offered a handy list of those who have echoed support of the new plan. Let’s start with the Saudis. “In light of the announcement, the Kingdom reiterates its support for all efforts aimed at reaching a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian cause,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wrote on Twitter. As the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman told Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, “The establishment of a just and comprehensive peace must be worked for.” The Egyptians toed a similar line, emphasizing the importance of reaching a peaceful resolution for the sake of regional stability. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement Tuesday applauding the US contribution “to the stability and security of the Middle East, ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.” The statement continued by asking both sides “to undertake a careful and thorough consideration of the US vision to achieve peace and open channels of dialogue, under US auspices; for the resumption of negotiations to present their respective views on reaching an agreement that satisfies the aspirations of both peoples.” Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Yousef Al Otaiba, showed gratitude for American efforts at ensuring long-term peace in the region. “This plan is a serious initiative that addresses many issues raised over the years,” he wrote, adding that it “offers an important starting point for a return to negotiations within a US-led international framework.” In attendance at the announcement of the plan were not only UAE Ambassador Al Otaiba, but also the ambassadors of Oman and Bahrain, a nod to the countries’ increased support of Israel as of late. While not every Arab state was on board with Trump’s “Deal of the Century” and some, such as Jordan and Turkey, expressed open displeasure, it’s unquestionable that if Obama were president at the current moment and had managed to get so many Arab states to express public support of such a plan, the media would be falling over themselves to declare Obama the grand peacemaker. The fawning would be endless. But alas, it is Donald Trump who is seated in the Oval Office, so instead of measured responses, we will likely be subjected to predictions of World War III, followed by lots of hyperbolic adjectives meant to suggest Trump’s foreign policy is the aberration, not Obama’s. This is patently false, however. With the latest piece in the New York Times, it seems as if national security journalists are just getting warmed up, searching endlessly for way in which to frame this deal so as not to suggest President Obama’s general incompetency. If the deal finds some reasonable success over the coming years, much like the embassy move, it will mean that President Obama’s policy of conceding to Palestinian-Arab terrorists was not actually a sound one, nor one that had any real grounding in reality. It will also mean all the criticisms of Trump’s foreign policy, couched in the skeptical subjunctive, were mostly baseless talking points and the gasping breath of the failed Iran Echo Chamber whose heyday has well passed.

Kobe Bryant’s Disturbing Rape Case: The DNA Evidence, the Accuser’s Story, and the Half-Confession t.co/RbzKCrCNP4— Addy Baird (@addysbaird) January 26, 2020 According to the Mail, Sonmez, a political reporter at WaPo, has been suspended from her position. After Trump sexually assaulted me, I took the black dress I had been wearing and hung it in my closet. I only wore it once since then and that was at the photoshoot for the New York Magazine article about my book,” ........ Yes, because it's quite normal to wear clothing with sexual fluids on them to photo shoots. And to not clean the clothing for over 30 years. The shocking accusation appeared just days before Carroll’s latest book — “What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal” — hit bookstores. Trump pointed that out in his statement about the allegation. “She is trying to sell a new book — that should indicate her motivation. It should be sold in the fiction section,” Trump said. “There is zero evidence. No pictures? No surveillance? No video? No reports? No sales attendants around? I would like to thank Bergdorf Goodman for confirming they have no video footage of any such incident, because it never happened.” Then there was this weird exchange when Carroll appeared on “Anderson Cooper 360.” Rape, Cooper said, is a violent assault. Carroll replied, “I think most people think of rape as being sexy.” “Let’s take a quick break,” Cooper said abruptly. “They think of the fantasies,” Carroll continued. “Hmm. We’re, er,” Cooper stammered, “gonna, uh, take a sh — quick break, we’re, if you can stick around we’ll talk more on the other side.” “You’re fascinating to talk to,” Carroll said. Cooper, who had just solemnly declared that Carroll was violently raped, laughed.

The paradise that Bernie, AOC, etc want for us: Venezuelan oil refineries were shut down this week. PDVSA, the Venezuelan state-owned oil and natural gas company, shut down its last two operating refineries in Venezuela. The Amuay and the Cardon facilities at the Paraguana Refining Center the largest refining complex in Venezuela, were shut down earlier this week. The news was first reported in a technical report by S&P Global Platts. Due to multiple failures and a lack of crude oil to process, the 645,000 barrel per day Amuay refinery was completely shut down Monday, with its five distillers out of service. The 310,000 barrel per day Cardon refinery was shut down last Saturday for maintenance work on the Number 1 distiller, which had been operating at 50,000 barrels per day. Venezuelan oil company officials have not wanted to offer statements to clarify the reasons for the stoppage of operation A refinery operator at Amuay, who spoke to Platts on condition of anonymity, said it will take “maybe two or three more days” to restart Amuay and “a few weeks” for Cardon to be up and running because of the distiller repairs. www.spglobal.com/platts/en

Enjoying watching the media lose its collective mind. Also seeing that Adam and Nancy seem to think there's more to come. I'm not totally familiar with the rules. Can they just keep impeaching him like they just did?

www.breitbart.com/economy/2020/01/31/fact-check-joe-scarborough-claims-jimmy-carters-economy-was-better-than-donald-trumps/Fact Check: Joe Scarborough Claims Jimmy Carter’s Economy Was Better Than Donald Trump’s Joe Scarborough wants you to believe that the economy of Jimmy Carter’s “Malaise” era was greater than the Trump economy. I swear I am not making this up. The Morning Joe host was set off by Trump’s repeated claims that this is the greatest economy in U.S. history. Mediate reports: Before introducing Trump’s former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, Scarborough revealed that he was “obsessed” with a graphic that compared economic growth under Trump to that under Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter at the same time in their administration. That graphic: All we hear, on repeat is what Donald Trump says about the economy,” Scarborough mocked. “Greatest economy ever, strongest economy ever.” After lauding Barack Obama for never talking about “how strong the economy was on the rebound” after he inherited the Great Recession, Scarborough turned to praise Jimmy Carter. “Look at Jimmy Carter in ‘79. This was supposed to be the year of malaise,” Scarborough said. “The year of malaise, and during Jimmy Carter’s so-called year of malaise, he was doing — his economy doing a lot better than Donald Trump. So why is it that there’s such a disconnect between, not only Donald Trump’s reality but also the talking points that the press regurgitates without thinking twice?” So what did Scarborough get wrong? Just about everything. While it is true that the economy grew faster under President Carter, the economy’s rate of growth is not a full measure of the economy’s strength. For one thing, growth should be measured against potential growth–the long term growth rate of the economy. For another, any measure of the economy should also take into account the unemployment rate, inflation, and interest rates. Carter’s 3.16 percent GDP growth in 1979 was burdened by 5.9 percent unemployment and an eye-popping 11.25 percent rate of inflation. Donald Trump’s 2.3 percent growth in 2019 was achieved with just 3.7 percent unemployment and 1.8 percent rate of inflation. There is a more formal way to compare the economic periods called a “misery index.” Ironically, it was popularized Carter himself, who used it to relentlessly attack Gerald Ford. It was invented by economist Arthur Okun, an adviser to Lyndon Johnson. In its simplest form, the misery index ads unemployment to inflation to take the measure of the economy. The highest the score, the more the misery and the worse the economy. So how do Carter and Trump fare on the misery index test? Carter Misery Index 1979: 5.9 + 11.25 = 17.15 Trump Misery Index 2019: 3.7 + 1.8 = 5.5 The index was later modified by Harvard economist Robert Barro to create the Barro Misery Index. In addition to the original misery index, the BMI includes both long-term interest rates as well as the deviation of growth from long-run potential. Its meant to be a more comprehensive view of the economy. Barro originally wanted to use it to show change over a multiyear period to compare how a president performed given the situation when he came into office but we can also use it to compare presidents between years. So take Carter’s unemployment rate (5.9) plus inflation (11.25) plus the 30-year Treasury rate (9.28) minus GDP growth (3.1) plus long-term potential growth in 1979 (3.1). That gives us a Carter modified misery index of 26.43. Now to Trump. Unemployment (3.7) plus inflation (1.8) plus 30-year Treasury rate (2.58) minus GDP growth (2.3) plus longterm potential in 2019 (1.75). That gives us Trump modified misery index of 7.53. In other words, Trump’s economy is much, much better than Carter’s by this measure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And in many ways, so is the strength of the economy. Scarborough can, if he wants, claim that growth is all that matters when judging a president. But for most people, growth is just one part of what makes up a great economy.

www.dailywire.com/news/watch-jay-z-beyonce-sit-during-super-bowl-national-anthemDespite the fact that rapper Jay-Z has signed a lucrative contract with the NFL, the league that tries diligently to appeal to fans’ patriotism, that didn’t stop him and his wife Beyonce from remaining seated during the singing of the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday. While Demi Lovato stood on the field to sing the anthem, the couple sat while others stood. Just one day before the Super Bowl, The New York Times published an interview with Jay-Z in which he defended his partnership with the NFL from critics, including Eric Reid, a safety for the Carolina Panthers who joined former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in a lawsuit against the NFL. Reid called the deal between Jay-Z’s company, Roc nation, and the NFL “kind of despicable.” That deal, wrote the Times, “gives Jay-Z influence over the league’s most important music events, including the halftime show.” Shakira, who performed at the Super Bowl, is a client of Roc Nation. Jay-Z commented about the criticism he had received, “As long as real people are being hurt and marginalized and losing family members, then yes, I can take a couple rounds of negative press.” He said of the NFL and Kaepernick, whom he has defended before, “No one is saying he hasn’t been done wrong. He was done wrong. I would understand if it was three months ago. But it was three years ago and someone needs to say, ‘What do we do now — because people are still dying?’” He added of Kaepernick, “We are two adult men who disagree on the tactic but are marching for the same cause.” Things were a little different in 2013, apparently, as Beyonce felt others should stand during the national anthem when she performed it. After Beyonce was slammed for allegedly lipsyncing when performing the national anthem at Barack Obama’s inauguration on January 21, 2013, she defended herself a week later at a press conference in New Orleans to preview her Super Bowl halftime show. As The Washington Post reported, “ … the superstar began with an unusual request of reporters: ‘Would you guys mind standing?’ And then she sang the National Anthem — live, unaccompanied, and loud. ‘Any questions?’ she asked.” In December 2017, Beyonce presented Kaepernick with the the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award at the annual Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards ceremony, saying, “It feels so good to be here on such a special night of appreciation. Thank you, Colin Kaepernick. Thank you for your selfless heart and your conviction. Thank you for your personal sacrifice. Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion — only hope to change the world for the better, to change perception, to change the way we treated each other, especially people of color. We are still waiting for the world to catch up.” As Buzzfeed Newsreported, she continued, “It’s been said that racism is so American, that when we protest racism, some assume we are protesting America. So, let’s be very clear: Colin has always been very respectful of the individuals who selflessly serve and protect our country and our communities and our families. His message is solely focused on social injustice for historically disenfranchised people. Let’s not get that mistaken.” Video below:

Jennifer Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, Emme Maribel Muniz, crawled out of a cage before she joined her mother and began singing. The display of children in cages, could be a reference to the Department of Homeland Security policy of separating children at the border from their parents and putting them in areas sectioned off by expanded metal fences. “In June 2018, President Trump signed an executive order to end child separation at the border, but the apprehension of family units at the border have increased since then,” Breitbart’s Charlie Spiering reported. “Lopez and Shakira were recruited for the show by Jay Z shortly after he announced he would be partnering with the NFL on social justice efforts and helping it ‘enhance’ its entertainment offerings last year,” the Hill reported. “At the time, the league had been getting push back from numerous celebrities, like Rihanna and Cardi B, and fans who were upset with how former NFL player Colin Kaepernick was treated by the league following his on-field protests.” Jay-Z and Beyonce were seen sitting during the national anthem at the Super Bowl. www.breitbart.com/sports/2020/02/02/jay-z-on-kaepernick-we-are-marching-for-the-same-cause/Rap mogul Jay-Z is still trying to defend his deal with the NFL even as former quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned. This time the rapper insisted that he and Kaepernick are “marching” for the same cause despite the rapper’s big money deal with the NFL. Jay-Z took some time to talk to the New York Times ahead of Super Bowl 54 and the conflict between him and Kaepernick was inevitably raised. In the interview, the Empire State of Mind rapper was pressed once again on his abandonment of Kaepernick because he is working with the National Football League. Jay-Z agreed that Kaepernick was “done wrong,” but added that it is long past time to move on. “No one is saying he hasn’t been done wrong. He was done wrong,” the rapper said. “I would understand if it was three months ago. But it was three years ago, and someone needs to say, ‘What do we do now — because people are still dying?'” Jay-Z added, “We are two adult men who disagree on the tactic but are marching for the same cause.” It does not appear that Kaepernick, though, is ready to so blithely “move past” anything. In fact, in a tweet from last August, the former San Francisco 49er praised his friends because “they never moved past the people,” a veiled jab at Jay-Z for saying America needs to move on from a focus on Kaepernick. Still, Jay-Z continues to take guff from those unhappy he signed on with the NFL. The music world largely cooperated to stand behind Colin Kaepernick in 2017 with many acts refusing to perform the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show that year as the league left the player unsigned because of his year-long, anti-American protests on the field. Indeed, Jay-Z himself was one of the musicians who refused to work with the NFL that year. But only a year later, the rapper seemed to reverse his stance and entered into a multi-million dollar deal with the league to push a “social justice” narrative with the NFL’s halftime shows, entertainment choices, and other programs. The rapper quickly came under fire for what many saw as a betrayal of Kaepernick. Many supporters of Kaepernick’s “social justice” causes slammed Jay-Z for cooperating with the very league that “blackballed” Kaepernick and prevented him from continuing his pro football career.

Across the pond: www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/02/02/uk-streatham-knifeman-convicted-terrorist-released-prison-early/Reports indicate the suspected Islamist terrorist who stabbed people in Streatham, London, had been convicted of terrorism offences previously but was freed from prison early. Sudesh Amman, 20, who wounded two people — one of whom is in life-threatening condition — “had been released from prison at the end of January, after serving half of his three year sentence” according to a BBC report. He was shot dead relatively quickly by armed police officers, who had been keeping him under active surveillance, with a third member of the public being injured as a result of the gunfire. Releasing convicts serving non-life, so-called determinate sentences halfway through their terms, automatically, is standard practice in the United Kingdom, with few exceptions. Britain’s last radical Islamic terror attack at London Bridge in December 2019 was also carried out by a convicted terrorist, who had been released halfway through his sentence on a tag. To read the full statement by DAC Lucy D’Orsi, please visit t.co/GJBwMyeyPc— Metropolitan Police (@metpoliceuk) February 2, 2020 Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said his government will reveal a blueprint for “fundamental changes to the system for dealing with those convicted of terrorism offences” on Monday. The Tory leader has already pledged to make “serious” terrorists and other violent and/or sexual criminals serve their sentences in full — although this falls far short of Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage’s call for terrorists to be given whole-life sentences. Standard “life” sentences in Britain typically see the convict paroled after 10-15 years. Some have also called for the Home Secretary, Priti Patel, to use her discretionary powers to deprive existing terror convicts with dual nationality or eligibility for dual nationality of their British citizenship so they can be deported — although this could only apply to a limited number of terrorists and the government seems reluctant to engage with the idea. thefederalist.com/2020/02/03/u-k-city-cancels-franklin-graham-for-his-crime-of-believing-the-bible/U.K. City Cancels Franklin Graham For His Crime Of Believing The Bible If Britain keeps allowing certain sociopolitical movements to suffocate the right to free expression and stifle the liberal exchange of ideas, it will start going downhill quickly. Will MauleBy Will Maule FEBRUARY 3, 2020 Evangelist Franklin Graham certainly fits the criteria for leftist outrage target. Not only has he notably defended President Trump, Graham also believes the Bible and wants to share it with the world. It’s no surprise, then, that Graham has once again fallen victim to the intolerance of a leftist horde well-versed in silencing any voice with which they disagree. This time, it’s Britain’s Liverpool Labour LGBT Network leading the charge by pressuring its city’s local government to cancel Graham’s upcoming speaking engagement. Terrified of straying out of favor with those who can summon placards and protest, Liverpool’s ACC conference center duly agreed to pull the plug. “Over the past few days we have been made aware of a number of statements which we consider to be incompatible with our values,” the conference center said, presumably after being presented with a quote from Graham on Islam or being informed of his opposition to homosexual acts. “In light of this we can no longer reconcile the balance between freedom of speech and the divisive impact this event is having in our city.” It added, “[T]he booking will no longer be fulfilled.” Graham’s Sheffield tour stop was also canceled Wednesday, with the leader of the City Council, Julie Dore, calling the preacher’s views “discriminatory and repulsive.” Graham Aligns with the Church of England on Marriage Again, Graham falls foul of campaigners who are seemingly perturbed by his consistent advocacy of biblical marriage between one man and one woman for life. The Bible is outdated and tired, they say, and it is time to send it to the grave. Notably, on this issue, Graham does not deviate from the party line adopted by the Church of England, still the largest and most influential denomination in the United Kingdom. Only recently, the church received a mild social media flogging, mainly at the hands of British millennials, for suggesting sex serves us best when kept exclusively within lifelong heterosexual marriage. “For Christians, marriage — that is the lifelong union between a man and a woman, contracted with the making of vows — remains the proper context for sexual activity,” the church stated. The ensuing derision soon subsided, and somehow the Anglican tradition plods on without great resistance. Let’s remember that the Church of England is singing from the same hymn sheet as Graham with regard to many other hot-button issues. For example, the Church of England declares a “strong opposition to abortion,” has repeatedly rejected same-sex marriage, and openly stamps its approval on the trustworthiness of the Bible. Graham would approve. Yet despite its officially adopted positions, Anglicans are free to frequently host events in “secular” conference venues without overt opposition. Britain Doesn’t Like Graham’s Politics So what does all this tell us? Despite the LGBT lobby’s insistence that it is an inclusive social movement, its protestations are clearly underpinned by a staunch political bias. As such, there is little doubt Graham’s tacit support of President Trump has everything to do with the particularly barbed statements accompanying these sudden cancellations. It is also unsurprising that Britain’s increasingly hard-left political opposition, the Labour Party, was affiliated with the original protest petition against Graham’s presence at the ACC. This party is known for being wildly leftist on social issues, largely atheistic in nature, and for boasting the current mayor of London and grandstanding anti-Trumper Sadiq Khan within its political ranks. It is now abundantly clear that public figures espousing any support for the U.S. president, including even Facebook posts urging people to pray for him, are no longer safe from haranguing when they arrive upon Britain’s shores. Arguably, this sad reality serves as a deep scourge upon our long-standing values as a nation and is symptomatic of our spineless handing over of core and enduring principles to a collective mob mentality with no regard for the right to free political or religious expression. Indeed, the intolerant left threatens to eviscerate free speech and replace it with a niche subset of rules governing what is acceptable to say and believe. It is not hard, then, to see why so many fear we have arrived at a grave juncture in our civic society and political discourse. It is totalitarianism of a different kind, but it is totalitarianism nonetheless. “We are proud to represent all communities,” the ACC insisted as it struck Graham from its booking sheet. Farcical. Of course it doesn’t represent all communities. The ACC simply caves to the group that shouts the loudest and is known for bankrupting businesses and ruining reputations. If the ACC really championed all people, it would allow Graham to occupy its stage for an evening. Who Will Get Canceled Next? Just how offensive can a brief gospel presentation really be? Staggeringly, I can imagine that, given our absurd modern-day vernacular, Graham’s call to the altar would be classed as a “microaggression.” “It is said by some that I am coming to the UK to bring hateful speech to your community. This is just not true,” Graham said in response to the accusations leveled against him. “I am coming to share the gospel, which is the good news that God loves the people of the UK. … [T]he gospel is inclusive.” Unfortunately, as we’ve seen on so many occasions, Graham’s words won’t be enough for many with social power to welcome him with open arms. Even if he apologized for scheduling the visit, repented of his wokelessness, defrocked himself, and admitted the whole Christianity thing was a sham, it would still not satisfy their bloodlust. So the son of one of the most influential preachers in history is left both bewildered and rightly anxious for the future upholding of free speech in Britain. “If they oppose me, who’s next?” he asked in response to the cancellations. “Who are they going to silence?”

www.cnn.com/2020/01/30/politics/donald-trump-coronavirus-diversity-obama/index.htmlCoronavirus task force another example of Trump administration's lack of diversity Analysis by Brandon Tensley, CNN Updated 2:35 PM ET, Thu January 30, 2020 Washington (CNN)It's a statement that's as predictable as it is infuriating: President Donald Trump's administration lacks diversity. On Tuesday, Trump tweeted photos of a briefing he'd received on the new coronavirus spreading out of China. "We will continue to monitor the ongoing developments," the President said in his post. "We have the best experts anywhere in the world, and they are on top of it 24/7!" Who are these experts? They're largely the same sorts of white men (and a couple women on the sidelines) who've dominated the Trump administration from the very beginning. READ MORE FROM BRANDON TENSLEY: Michael Bloomberg and the tradition of expecting black forgiveness Bernie Sanders articulates the quieter complexities of oppression Reckoning with the specter of lynching in Trump's America Racism, Bernie Sanders and the limits of 'respect' The racial politics of gun control How Trump speaks to black Americans says a lot about his vision for the country By contrast, former President Barack Obama's circle of advisers in the face of the 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa was hardly so monochromatic. Neither was it so abysmal in terms of gender diversity. (Of course, to contextualize, Obama's administration, on the whole, was far more diverse than Trump's.) And yet, as unsurprising as the diversity issue in the Trump era has become, it's still worth pointing out from time to time, especially as the country approaches the 2020 presidential election in earnest. That's partly because the recent photos of "the best experts" telegraph the kinds of people the administration deems worthy of holding power -- and even being in close proximity to it. They communicate a "patronage network that everyone is operating under," as Eric Yellin, an associate professor of history and American studies at the University of Richmond, told The Washington Post last year, about a different set of photos. "Having that network be interracial is really important." But the visuals that have come to define the Trump administration say something else, too. They signal which people in a multi-racial, half-female country Trump values the opinions of: mostly white men who are mirror images of the President himself.

thefederalist.com/2020/02/04/msnbc-host-leaves-beltway-bubble-shocked-to-find-iowa-farmers-support-president-trump/MSNBC Host Leaves Beltway Bubble, Shocked To Find Iowa Farmers Support President Trump FEBRUARY 4, 2020 By Chrissy Clark In MSNBC’s daytime lineup, host Katy Tur was shocked when she met Iowans who supported President Trump. Tur sought out Iowa farmers in hopes they would publicly complain about Trump and his trade war with China. It’s conventional Democratic knowledge that Trump’s trade war with China, including the consequential tariffs, are harming farmers’ bottom lines, particularly in the swing state of Iowa. However, this conventional wisdom was shot down when Tur asked farmers for their thoughts on the tariffs. “President Trump told Iowa farmers that he is the only one who can save them. I visited a farming show here in Des Moines and spoke to some of the president’s supporters. Didn’t know they were until I asked them. I wondered if they thought he had fulfilled his promises, specifically about tariffs,” said Tur in her opening monologue. “[Tariffs] aren’t good for temporary, but long term, we get the trade agreements actually, and China actually does what they said, we’ll be better,” one farmer told Tur. He explained that tariffs, like farming, are an investment in the future Tur was visibly confused by the Iowan farmers who support Trump. She could not understand why her theory did not match reality on the ground. Nonentheless, Tur continued to promulgate her theory that Iowa farmers will not support Trump in the 2020 election. “There’s a feeling out there that Iowa farmers are not going to support [Trump] any longer. These tariffs are doing too much to hurt their business, and when I was talking to farmers at that expo, I didn’t hear that,” Tur said. It was refreshing to see Beltway punditry flipped on its head, and to see Trump’s ardent supporters sticking with him through turbulent times. During the trade war, China put retaliatory tariffs on almost all U.S. agricultural exports, notably soybeans and pork products. This undoubtedly hurts farmers in the interim. However, China is the biggest consumer of U.S. agricultural products. So to pass a trade agreement that forces China to purchase even more of these products, and at a fairer price, will help farmers long-term.

www.dailywire.com/news/democrat-senator-mazie-hirono-trump-not-acquitted-cnn-rips-her-she-doubles-downDemocrat Senator Mazie Hirono: Trump ‘Not Acquitted’. CNN Rips Her, She Doubles Down. Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono (HI) falsely claimed on Thursday that President Donald Trump was not acquitted yesterday when the U.S. Senate fully acquitted him of all impeachment charges that he faced from House Democrats. “The Senate has clearly spoken now, the president was acquitted,” CNN host Wolf Blitzer began. “Do you think your–” “No! Wolf (laughs), wasn’t acquitted,” Hirono falsely claimed. “It was a rigged trial. You don’t get acquitted when you don’t even get to call witnesses or relevant witnesses or have the documents because the president stone walled all efforts on the part of the House to get the information they requested.” “So, there you go,” Hirono continued. “It was a rigged trial, he can run around saying he was acquitted but you don’t get acquitted in a rigged trial.” “Well, I just want to point out Senator, there was a roll call, guilty or not guilty, not guilty was the majority and the Chief Justice of the United States announced that he was acquitted, that he was not guilty,” Blitzer responded. “But the American public knows that it was a rigged trial,” Hirono claimed without evidence. “So, okay you’re found not guilty in a rigged trial. I don’t think that they think this was all kosher, not it wasn’t. So, meanwhile you have the president crowing about it, which is totally expected, and now it’s anything goes for this president and this administration and all his enablers.” WATCH:
