So, why should we vote Democrat again? www.foxnews.com/politics/feinstein-wants-kavanaugh-sexual-misconduct-investigation-reopened-if-dems-take-senateSen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said Wednesday that if Democrats took control of the Senate following November’s midterm elections, she would be in favor of reopening an investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations levelled against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. “I’d be in favor of opening an investigation into the allegations,” Feinstein, the ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said during a debate in San Francisco with her challenger, state Sen. Kevin de León. A fellow Democrat, de León emerged from California’s hectic jungle primary system to challenge one of the Senate’s longest tenured members for her seat.

dailycaller.com/2018/10/17/soros-funded-operative-nevada-assault/A Democratic operative funded by George Soros was arrested for battery Tuesday after the campaign manager for Nevada Republican gubernatorial nominee Adam Laxalt claims he grabbed her arm and would not let go, leaving her bruised on her neck and arms. The campaign manager, Kristin Davison, 31, says Wilfred Michael Stark, 50, who is funded by both Soros and David Brock, has since left her “terrified and traumatized” after the attack, according to Fox News. Stark was arrested by Las Vegas city marshals Tuesday night after Davison filed a “battery” charge against him. Stark was previously arrested for allegedly assaulting the female press secretary for Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke in March. He also was arrested tracking Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie.I

Women’s group wants him removed: freebeacon.com/politics/tom-carper-admitted-to-hitting-his-wife-in-1998-interview/Delaware senator Tom Carper admitted to slapping his wife in a 1998 interview with a veteran political journalist in the state, confirming an accusation he denied when first running for Congress. Carper represented Delaware first in the House, then was elected governor in 1993, and has been in the Senate since 2001. He fought the accusation that he hit his wife when it first emerged during his 1982 run for Congress, saying it was “without basis in fact” and pledging to sue the New York Post, which first published the accusation in 1982, for libel. Carper won in 1982 largely by attacking his Republican opponent for his “vicious” efforts to “smear” him and his wife, but 16 years later he admitted to Delaware reporter Celia Cohen that the accusation was true all along. “Did I slap my wife 20 years ago? Yes,” Carper said. “Do I regret it? Yes. Would I do it again? No.” The deposition did in fact include an admission by Carper that he hit his wife and gave her a black eye. “I slapped Diane one time,” Carper said in the deposition, according to the report. “It was a stupid thing to do and I … regret it now. It caused some discoloration of her left eye and some puffiness.”

www.breitbart.com/midterm-election/2018/10/17/nancy-pelosi-details-democrats-plan-for-open-borders-i-dont-see-any-of-us-voting-for-wall-funding/House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says that if the Democrats take back the House in the 2018 midterm elections, none of them will vote for President Trump’s wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. In an interview with Politico, Pelosi detailed her plans — or lack thereof — for the U.S.-Mexico border and national immigration policy, which does not include Trump’s proposed border wall. “I don’t see any of us voting for wall funding,” Pelosi said. www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2018/10/16/pelosi-gives-playbook-a-preview-of-the-democratic-majority-327201“We have a responsibility to secure our borders,” Pelosi said. “There are ways to do that that are consistent with civilization, humanitarianism, and who we are as a nation. We have to remove all doubt about that.” Pelosi’s hinting that Congress must “remove all doubt” that the U.S. is humane could come in the form of House and Senate Democrats’ plan to end all immigration enforcement across the nation, including the abolishment of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As Trump said at a recent campaign rally, every Senate Democrat has signed onto Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) proposal that would abolish and end all immigration and border enforcement across the U.S., allowing the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens living in the country and all future illegal aliens to be free to travel back and forth across the hemisphere without enforcement or protections for Americans. The Senate Democrat plan would also likely ban any and all federal arrests of illegal aliens. The legislation has earned the nickname, the “Child Trafficking Encouragement Act,” as it allows illegal alien smugglers to freely traffic children into the U.S. without the fear of arrest.

www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/uncertainty-over-blue-wave-nbc-news-finds-democratic-voter-registrations-n920691Uncertainty over a blue wave: NBC News finds Democratic and GOP voter registrations at same level as past election cycles The data in some key Senate battleground states shows a mixed picture. Less than a month from Election Day, both parties have been focused on registering as many voters as possible and competing to see which holds the advantage in turning out their base. The turnout battle is the most important fight in winning control of Congress. Since the November 2016 presidential election, over 25 million people have registered to vote for the first time or have used a registration form to update their address, name or party affiliation. From the general election in 2014 to the general election two years later, roughly 40 million new voters registered. Taking into account different midterm and presidential electorates, the number of new voters from 2016 to now is sizable, according to data provided by TargetSmart and independently analyzed by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab.

From article linked in tweet:
The Texas Democratic Party asked noncitizens to register to vote, sending out applications to immigrants with the box citizenship already checked “Yes,” according to complaints filed Thursday asking prosecutors to see what laws may have been broken.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation alerted district attorneys and the Justice Department to the prechecked applications and included a signed affidavit from a man who said some of his relatives, who aren’t citizens, received the mailing.
“This is how the Texas Democratic Party is inviting foreign influence in an election in a federal election cycle,” said Logan Churchwell, spokesman for the Public Interest Legal Foundation. The group has made its mark by policing states’ voter registration practices.
The Texas secretary of state’s office said it received complaints from immigrants and from relatives of dead people who got mailings asking them to register.
Spokesman Sam Taylor said it was “a pretty large volume of calls.”

All women are to be believed, correct? www.dailywire.com/news/37342/democratic-senator-brown-accused-sexual-misconduct-james-barrettThis sounds vaguely familiar. In what Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio is decrying as nothing less than "character assassination," Republican senate candidate Rep. Jim Renacci's campaign issued a news release late Thursday detailing the unsubstantiated allegations of an unnamed woman who said that Brown made an "an unexpected, uninvited, unwanted, and sudden advance" on her, "roughly pushing her up against a wall" in the late-1980s. assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5008081/Renacci-Laura-Mills-Statement.pdfThe Renacci campaign news release features a statement from attorney Laura Mills, who is a supporter and former business partner of the congressman, who said she was put into contact with the unnamed accuser by a friend. Like the accusations against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the allegation against Brown includes no date, location, or corroborating evidence. And, like, the first allegations against Kavanaugh, the accuser is described as "very credible" and a "professional woman." Below is Mills' summary of the accuser's claims: She met Sherrod Brown in the course of her work and had occasion to be briefly alone with him, but not on a date. She told a friend in confidence about her unwanted and unexpected experience in the late 80’s. This was months ago, shortly after the MeToo movement began, and the reason she told her friend was to explain why she believed many of the women, as something unwanted had happened to her with a prominent politician. She had no intention of coming forward and did not know that the friend would later contact Jim Renacci with it. When she did, he referred her to discuss the experience with me. This encounter happened after his divorce. She described an unexpected, uninvited, unwanted, and sudden advance, roughly pushing her up against a wall. It did stop after she expressed dismay and very firmly pulled away, explaining that was not her style nor why she was there. He then said he remembered what she had on the day they had met some time earlier and that he had been attracted to her. Although she was able to defuse the situation, it did shake her up and she told friends about it as soon as she got home. They wanted her to report it but she chose not to do so because it did stop. She has also told a few other people over the years about what a shock it was, but did not intend to ever bring it forward recently other than to let friends know this is why she believed many other women's stories about similar experiences. And also it happened a very long time ago. She is only allowing this statement because the current news coverage does not have all the facts yet, and she wants to correct the record. Cleveland.com reports that Renacci's release "comes a day after Renacci told reporters and editors with the Cincinnati Enquirer that he'd heard from 'multiple women' with abuse allegations against Brown, while providing no additional details or supporting evidence." www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2018/10/jim_renacci_issues_anonymous_s.htmlwww.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2018/10/17/jim-renacci-steps-up-allegations-assault-against-sherrod-brown-says-multiple-women-have-come-forward/1669229002/After slamming Brown repeatedly for a "nasty" 1986 divorce over the last few weeks, Renacci told a West Virginia radio station Thursday that he's had "a couple of people contact the office" with allegations against Brown, which he stressed were "uncorroborated." The claims against Brown, including by his ex-wife, argues Renacci, demonstrate a double standard from the Democrats and their allies in the media. The candidate told the stations that he turned over the allegations to an attorney, which turned out to be Mills. The Brown campaign has fired back, releasing a cease-and-desist letter that Brown's lawyer Marc Elias sent to Renacci earlier that day in response to his vague abuse accusations. The statement by Mills, said Brown campaign spokeswoman Preston Maddock in a statement late Thursday, is part of a smear campaign by the "failed and desperate candidate": assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5008080/Cease-and-Decist.pdfJust hours after a cease and desist was sent to Jim Renacci informing him that if he chose to continue making unsubstantiated and false claims about something that never happened he would face legal ramifications, now Jim Renacci's former business partner and friend, in coordination with Renacci's campaign, has put out a statement with nothing more than further anonymous and unsubstantiated claims. Pure and simple this is character assassination by a failed and desperate candidate who every day reaches new lows. This will not be tolerated, all legal means will be pursued against Jim Renacci.

The organization notified district attorneys and the Department of Justice, and included a signed affidavit from a man who claims that several relatives who are not citizens received the mailing, according to the Washington Times. The PILF publicly released complaints it sent to Hidalgo and Starr counties asking for an investigation. The organization also provided copies of pre-marked voter applications and the affidavit from the man who said his non-citizen relatives received the mailing. The applications were pre-addressed to elections officials, which is likely what left many voters to believe they were receiving an official communication from the state. But the return address was from the State Democratic Executive Committee, and listed an address in Austin that matches the state Democratic Party’s headquarters. The letter is emblazoned with “Urgent! Your voter registration deadline is October 9.” It continues: “Your voter registration application is inside. Complete, sign and return it today!”

Scott Adams of Dilbert fame : www.breitbart.com/midterm-election/2018/10/19/exclusive-scott-adams-predicts-greatest-turnout-by-republicans-maybe-ever-in-midterms/But he predicts that we will see “the greatest turnout by Republicans, maybe ever.” His explanation: My hypothesis is that humans are primed by whatever they’ve already seen. So if they’ve seen a pattern, they’ve already fallen into it. And one of the patterns Republicans enjoyed in 2016 was having the other side be surprised. And they really enjoyed it — I’m talking about the kind of joy you can talk about over the course of your lifetime. And the Republican personality — I realize this is a gross generalization — is that it’s not always about the talk, it’s about the showing up. Republicans are going to show up. And they’re driven by all the things people are talking about, but you cannot underestimate the fun, either. I’ll tell you this: if the Republicans pull out the House [win] — I’m still thinking it’s unlikely, only because other people say so and I don’t know any different — it’s because there’s a shitload of Republicans who are saying to themselves, “They’re gonna be surprised.” It’s predictable from the fact that they have felt that pattern and that payoff before. They see the same thing happening again, and are reminded of it. Asked whether Democrats or Republicans have the more persuasive message heading into the final two weeks of the midterm elections, Adams notes that Democrats’ claim that Republicans want to take away people’s health care was undone with a single tweet earlier Thursday, in which the president promised to sort out any Republicans who dared propose denying coverage for pre-existing conditions — a move Adams called “magically good.” Republicans, he suggests, have a stronger message, in pointing to the “mobs” that the left have mobilized in protest around the country over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and other issues. Fear is the most powerful persuasive force, he argues. That — and the sheer fun of winning bigly — could drive GOP voters to the polls. Adams is a fan of the president, but is not reluctant to be critical, where he disagrees. He tells me that he is “disappointed” that the president has not achieved more on health care — though he notes that Trump still could, given more time. Nothing seems impossible anymore.

www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/10/19/democrat-sen-mccaskill-under-fire-after-husband-accused-of-abuse-by-ex-wife/Missouri Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill’s husband is making news again as it is revealed he was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife, according to Fox News. A disturbing protection order filed by Joseph Shepard’s ex-wife reveals that he allegedly hit her, tripped her, and even “peed on” her. Shepard’s domestic violence allegations date back to 1993 when Shepard’s then-13-year-old daughter called the police to inform them her mother, Suzanne Shepard, was the victim of an assault, according to a police report. Shepard was the only person listed as involved and no charges were filed after the incident. www.foxnews.com/politics/mccaskills-husband-was-accused-of-abuse-his-company-victim-blamed-woman-suing-for-sexual-harassmentThe police were dispatched back to the Shepard home in 1998. The police reported Suzanne claiming Shepard had come to the house to pick up a carpet and the two got into an argument over marital problems. The incident report states he “proceeded to grab her right arm and push her.” The occurrence between the two prompted Suzanne to file an adult abuse petition for an order of protection against Shepard. “Police called by friend in my home. Joseph entered my home. I told him to leave,” she wrote. “He came up to me looking angry. “I put my hands up to protect my breasts as they are sore (cancer). He has hit me before in the breast. He grabbed my wrist and arm and pushed me up against the wall & I hit my head & back & he bruised my arms by pinching me.” Shepard insisted that his wife was the one to get violent first. “He said while he was attempting to load the [carpet] Mrs. Shepard began pushing him trying to get him out of the house,” the police report stated. The filed protection order against Joseph Shepard also recalled previous incidents of alleged abuse. “I am afraid of respondent and there is an immediate and present danger of abuse or stalking of me. He has tripped me, hit me before (police were called by my daughter), punched my cancer breast, peed on me, pushed me down and slapped me,” she stated in the report. “He now threatens that everything I have is his and I will end up in his low-income housing and he wants to take my things,” she added.

www.breitbart.com/midterm-election/2018/10/19/l-a-times-nancy-pelosi-has-been-grooming-adam-schiff-as-possible-successor/amp/The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who intends to become Speaker of the House if Democrats win the November midterm elections, “has quietly been grooming potential successors, among them Rep. Adam Schiff.” Pelosi told the Times that while she intended to run for Speaker, she did not intend on serving forever: “I have things to do. Books to write; places to go; grandchildren, first and foremost, to love.” The Times noted that Pelosi “has no plans to try to force a choice,” though she would be happy to hand the gavel to another woman. Pelosi also said: ““Whoever is next is not up to me. … If I were saying, ‘I want so-and-so to be my successor,’ that’s not right.” However, Pelosi has her favorites in the caucus. Schiff would be an interesting choice. A fellow Californian, he has handled top portfolios, and currently serves as the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee. For most of the past two years, Schiff has been a ubiquitous presence on cable news, driving the story — which critics call a conspiracy theory — of Russian “collusion” with President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. That performance has made Schiff a villain, to Republicans, but a hero to Democrats eager to see Trump impeached. Few have dared challenge Pelosi’s leadership — even after she led her party to historic losses in the 2010 midterms. Former Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC) tried in 2010, and Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) tried in 2016 — both without success. Pelosi has made unusual leadership choices before. Shortly after the 2006 midterms, which elevated her to Speaker, she backed the late Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), who was known to have ethical problems, as her deputy. She lost that fight and accepted Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) instead.
