Mahomes made a great play to win that Raven's game. I've watched more NFL this year, than in a long time. Had Browns and Chiefs game on at same time Sunday, then Cowboys/Eagles, and then Bears/Rams. Was good day.
Is defense starting to catch up with these offenses that are using college offense principals ? Which btw, this is Riley's favorite play ....

Probably not. It also depends on the offense. KC's not so much. The key to our team is, of course, Mahomes. I was late to the party and really wanted to pump the brakes on him but not any more. He's most likely going to win MVP in his first season playing. He is a definite game changer. He is a momentum changer. Even when things are going against us he has the ability to turn things around. I've heard people compare him to a SF Joe Montana. Throw in the game's best TE in Kelce and the ultimate game changer in Hill and things start becoming unstoppable. We know how it is. There are certain plays that are always going to be there and then when you have superior skills it's hard to stop. Plus, listen to Mahomes. He sounds like a coach. Unlike many spread QBs he sees the entire field and sees what is coming very well. Baltimore, who is a very good defensive team, constantly was changing their looks and schemes and tried to make him uncomfortable. This was the sort of game that in the last few years come January we lost - Pittsburgh, Tennessee. Physical teams that kept the heat coming. When he was at TT I chalked it up it being college and all but now when you see him against elite athletes he's got the goods. He had several "how did he do that?" moments and has had them almost every game. His "worst" game of the year was against the Rams where he threw for 6 TDs and his team scored 51 points.Luckily for us there's only a few teams - Dallas, Baltimore - that are playing that sort of defense. Maybe Chicago.

Mahomes is the shit. Growing up in MLB locker rooms gives him the insight and maturity he already shows. Made him a natural leader, and his skills as a playmaker are downright nasty. They may have lost half a step losing the dumbass Hunt, but they still have other playmakers all over the field. If the defense can make some plays, and they can reign in the penalties, they will be hard to stop

Maybe Chicago. Think about this. At one time Coach Bro (Kliff Kingsbury) had Mahommes, Mayfield and Davis Webb (New York Jets) on the same roster. He also coached Manziel and Case Keenum in college. When Tech fired Kingsbury I was for sure some NFL team would hire him as an offensive coordinator, but he decided to take the USC job instead.

He might think he'll be next in line when the current coach gets canned.

If Kevin Wilson had been that creative on the goal line in 2008 vrs UF, OU would have 8 NCs

The NFL has figured out, that ya can't power the ball in on the goal line.

Chiefs gonna be kickin themselves all off season, I also wondered about this when I saw it last night, among many other things. Their defense looked like Sooner defense on third and long.

Chiefs gonna be kickin themselves all off season, I also wondered about this when I saw it last night, among many other things. Their defense looked like Sooner defense on third and long. And so you throw a 10 yard out and there's 10 seconds left. Then what - a throw into the heavily guarded end zone? What about a sack? Or a catch in bounds? Game over. Kicking was the right thing to do. The last 16 seconds didn't make a difference.

The quick out was there, he could've thrown it, and still had time for another shot at the EZ, before kicking a FG.
Baldy does a great job of explaining that.
#BaldysBreakdowns is filled with chances the Chiefs blew.

Sure is easy being an armchair QB after the fact I thought the same thing as Baldy, when it happened.
Its harder to throw the ball to the EZ from the 22 yd line, than from the 10 yd line. Also takes less time. There was a WR open on the 10 yd line, on the sideline, easy pitch and catch and get out of bounds.
Defense can't play the same from the 10 yd line, than they did from the 22 yd. From the 10 , they can't give up anything. They have to press the WR's , and that creates opportunities for WR to get open in the EZ.
Its really hard from the 22 yd line, when all the DB's are in the EZ.
Its almost like Reid never considered that NE would put all DB's in EZ.

If I have learned anything at all in my 58+ years of living, it is that no game is won or lost on a single play.
