dailycaller.com/2018/10/09/trump-reveals-plans-for-nikki-haley/Trump told reporters that Haley had told him approximately 6 months ago that she wanted to leave at the end of two years on the job. Haley told reporters that she is not leaving to run for office against Trump and committed to campaigning for him in 2020. “She has done a fantastic job and we’ve done a fantastic job together. We’ve solved a lot of problems and we’re in the process of solving a lot of problems” Trump said, adding that he is willing to welcome Haley back in any capacity within the Trump administration.

dailycaller.com/2018/10/09/who-replace-nikki-haley-un/Pundits are already throwing out the names of individuals who could replace outgoing U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley after her Tuesday announcement that she intends to step down at the end of 2018. Current U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell is already getting a large share of the attention after President Donald Trump said at a Tuesday Oval Office press conference that the new U.N. ambassador will be announced within two to three weeks. Other possible candidates include former deputy national security adviser for strategy Dina Powell and even Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, who is one of his advisers. Richard Grenell Grenell is a Harvard-educated diplomat who was confirmed to his current post as U.S. ambassador to Germany in April. He is the longest-serving appointee at the U.N. in history, having served “as a U.S. spokesman and political appointee to the U.N.” for eight years, according to the Washington Examiner. He is also on good terms with national security adviser John Bolton after the two worked together in former President George W. Bush’s administration, according to the Washington Examiner. Grenell was on Donald Trump’s short list for U.N. ambassador during the 2016 presidential election, reported The New York Post. He would have been the first openly gay U.S. ambassador to the U.N. had he been selected. Grenell is pro-Israel and was recently noted by The Daily Caller for “quietly convincing German companies to discontinue business with Iran.” “The obvious choice for the UN slot is Richard Grenell,” tweeted conservative commentator Kurt Schlichter Tuesday.

Maybe she'll replace Pence as VP on the next ticket. So all I see are liberal choices in the article? I didn't read the article. Just thought Pence doesn't really add anything to Trumps next run. She could probably bring a lot of female independent voters.

dailycaller.com/2018/10/09/trump-nikki-haley-un-replacement/President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he has five names in mind to replace Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump identified only one person on the list: Dina Powell, a former deputy national security adviser to Trump. “Dina would love it,” Trump said. Trump announced earlier in the day that Haley would be leaving her post at the end of the year. The abrupt decision, first reported by Axios, left many in the White House in shock as there was no indication that she planned to leave office. Haley submitted her resignation on Oct. 3. The decision touched off widespread speculation about who could replace Haley, a former South Carolina governor. Ivanka Trump was floated as a possible replacement, as was Richard Grenell, the ambassador to Germany. Trump said that Grenell is not one of the five under consideration, though he is open to considering adding his name to the list. Trump told reporters that Grenell is “doing so well” as ambassador to Germany “that I wouldn’t want to move him.” “I’d personally rather keep Ric where he is.” Ivanka Trump removed herself from consideration in a statement issued on Twitter. “It is an honor to serve in the White House alongside so many great colleagues and I know that the President will nominate a formidable replacement for Ambassador Haley,” she said. “That replacement will not be me.”

I like the idea of having a strong woman advancing the MAGA position to the world. Its gonna be a tough spot to fill because you will have to believe that globalism is bad, and do it against the grain of the rest of the UN. And the press is going to beat you up every time you speak, because the MSM/libs LOVE them some globalist overlords. Anyway, that was also the case before, and we got Nikki Haley, who used to openly spar with Trump. So who knows....

It's important to have someone there that doesn't need to be corrected. The person in that job needs to be an extension of the president.
