dailycaller.com/2019/05/24/msnbc-michael-avenatti-cable-news-stormy-daniels/how the network both worked with and covered disgraced celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti, according to an op-ed published by the Washington Post Thursday. Avenatti was indicted for the third time this year earlier this week for alleged fraud and aggravated identity theft related to his former adult film star Stephanie Clifford, who is professionally known as Stormy Daniels. The spokesperson told the author of the WaPo op-ed: “Similar to The Washington Post’s more than 200 citations of Michael Avenatti in its ongoing and in-depth coverage on the topic, we appropriately covered a high-profile legal matter surrounding the President of the United States and, as part of that, invited Mr. Avenatti to represent his client. We were also the first to report Mr. Avenatti’s arrest on-air within moments of him being taken into custody and continue to cover the latest on his subsequent indictment and extortion and fraud charges.” MSNBC’s prime time star Rachel Maddow expounded on the spokesperson’s comments to WaPo, adding, “When I interviewed Avenatti about the Kavanaugh accuser he represented, the news at that point was that women were coming forward with allegations of mistreatment by a nominee for the Supreme Court. That story was still developing, and would continue developing for days to come.” During a 10-week period last spring, Avenatti appeared on cable news 147 times with 57 of them coming on MSNBC, according to Newsbusters (which was still less than his 74 appearances on CNN). He appeared on MSNBC’s network seven times back on May 3, 2018, and was most often on “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell,” where he was a guest 16 times in that same time period. (RELATED: CNN Hosts Avenatti 59 Times In Two Months) Avenatti received praise from multiple MSNBC personalities, with some going as far as to represent him as the leader the Democratic Party needed to beat President Donald Trump in 2020. Back in May 2018, MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude said on the network, “Michael Avenatti is a beast. He’s a beast and he keeps popping Donald Trump and all of his folks in the mouth, repeatedly.” Stephanie Ruhle agreed, adding, “I am intrigued, I’m excited, I’m scared, I’m a little grossed out. And you know what? I owe Michael Avenatti an apology. For the last few weeks, I’ve been saying, ‘Enough, already, Michael, I’ve seen you everywhere. What do you have left to say?’ I was wrong, brother. You have a lot to say. The Democrats could learn something from you. You are messing with Trump a lot more than they are.” The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York indicted Avenatti back in March for allegedly threatening to release damaging information about Nike if the company didn’t pay him and a colleague $20 million. He was also arrested for domestic abuse back in November.

So, a decline in racial prejudice is more evidence,(according to some media), that President Trump is racist? This would be hilarious, if it wasn't for the fact that they are being serious. dailycaller.com/2019/05/24/media-decline-racial-prejudice-trump-racist/The Washington Post contorted itself Thursday to reconcile a study that found a decline in racial prejudice with the narrative that Trump has spurred a national increase in racism. University of Pennsylvania researchers expected the results of their study to back up that narrative, but found the opposite — since Trump took office, there has been a marked decline in racist attitudes among white Americans. Rather than reexamine the premise that Trump rose to power by stoking racial resentment, The Washington Post doubled down and adopted the study’s conclusion that racist rhetoric from Trump is the reason for the drop in racism. (RELATED: Trump’s Presidency Linked To Decline In Racism) The reporter introduces the study by reciting a list of reasons they believe Trump is racist, then provides a series of quotes from Democratic presidential candidates who say their aim in 2020 is to reverse the hatred Trump has spread, then poses the question as to whether Trump has “succeeded” in making the country more prejudiced. US President Donald Trump gestures during a Make America Great Again rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, April 27, 2019. (SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty Images) “Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.) said Trump ‘isn’t trying to make America great; he’s trying to make America hate,” the story says. “Has he succeeded?” According to the researchers of the study noted in the post, he has not. (RELATED: Maxine Waters Calls Trump’s Immigration Plan ‘Very Racist’) The study didn’t show an increased willingness among Americans to express racist views, or to support racist policies, as expected. “Our findings contradict both hypotheses, as we primarily find declining prejudice and racial resentment, and certainly no increases,” the researchers wrote in the study. Still, WaPo casts the results in a negative light, noting reports of a rise in hate crimes since Trump took office, proposing other possible explanations for the drop in racist attitudes, and emphasizing the study’s conclusion that naked racism from Trump prompted many Americans to recoil from their own prejudice. “Hopkins believes the study provides evidence that the racially incendiary rhetoric and policies issuing from Trump’s White House have pushed the majority of Americans in the opposite direction,” WaPo reports. Other members of the liberal media seized on this explanation. CNN’s Jake Tapper retweeted that line from the report, and MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough talked about it with Al Sharpton on “Morning Joe” Friday, asserting the “deficiencies” of Trump are responsible for the decline. “People may have some natural leanings toward bias, but when you see raw bias, you tend to say, ‘Wait a minute I’m not like that, I don’t want to be like that,'” Sharpton said. “And it gives people like an alert button goes off and they go the other way. So I think that study may very well be well founded.” papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3378076www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/05/24/racial-prejudice-trump-presidency-study/?utm_term=.d28b48382ba6

What needs to happen is for a Republican/Independent bill come out doing the same for Sanctuary Cities and the Popular Vote movement. www.dailywire.com/news/47657/democrat-bill-would-block-states-passing-pro-life-amanda-prestigiacomoExcerpt: Women’s Health Protection Act” (WHPA), and is sponsored by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA). The proposed bill would block and upend vital pro-life legislation, such as so-called “heartbeat bills” — which protect unborn babies with a detectable heartbeat from abortion — waiting periods, and mandates on ultrasounds, among other abortion restrictions. According to pro-abortion ActForWomen.org, WHPA is described as “a federal bill that would protect the right to abortion by creating a safeguard against restrictions on abortion that apply to no similar medical care. These restrictions interfere with patients’ personal decision-making and block access to safe, legal abortion care.” According to Rep. Chu, who praised WHPA on Thursday, there are already 169 Democrat cosponsors for the bill from the House, and an increasing surge of Democrat senators signing-on. "Our bill finally puts a stop to the state-based attacks that anti-abortion advocates have been trying to use to undermine or even reverse Roe," Chu said at the press conference, according to The Blaze. "It means no abortion bans," she added, boasting that the bill ”prohibits any non-medical restrictions on our bodies,” such as "no heartbeat bills," waiting periods, and ultrasound mandates. Sen. Blumenthal also spoke at the presser, championing abortion “rights” that must be “protected, once and for all and forever, against the demagogues who would restrict them,” The Blaze noted.

dailycaller.com/2019/05/26/judge-suspended-criticizing-trump/The Supreme Court of Utah upheld a six-month suspension without pay for a municipal judge who disparaged President Donald Trump on social media and during official judicial proceedings. Taylorsville Justice Court Judge Michael Kwan undermined public confidence in the courts by intervening in the political process, the state Supreme Court concluded. “Fulfillment of judicial duties does not come without personal sacrifice of some opportunities and privileges available to the public at large,” Utah Supreme Court Justice John Pearce wrote in an opinion upholding the sanctions against Kwan. “And as a person the public entrusts to decide issues with the utmost fairness, independence, and impartiality, a judge must at times set aside the power of his or her voice.” The state Judicial Conduct Commission (JCC) brought formal charges against Kwan after the judge disparaged the president on social networks and in his own courtroom during official proceedings. In one social media post, for example, Kwan suggested that congressional Republicans were comparable to the rubber-stamp parliament of Nazi Germany. “Welcome to the beginning of the fascist takeover,” Kwan wrote. “We need to be diligent in questioning congressional Republicans if they are going to be the American Reichstag and refuse to stand up for the Constitution, refuse to uphold their oath of office, and enable the tyrants to consolidate their power.” (RELATED: Bill Barr Used This One Figure To Show Nationwide Injunctions Are A Problem) President Donald Trump greets House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) at the White House on May 4, 2017. (Alex Wong/Getty Images) President Donald Trump greets House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) at the White House on May 4, 2017. (Alex Wong/Getty Images) On another occasion, the judge dismissed a defendant’s contention that he would pay off overdue court fines with his tax rebate, saying that Trump will only give tax cuts to the wealthy. The JCC concluded that Kwan’s internet posts and statements in court were “prejudicial to the administration of justice” and suspended the judge without pay for six months. The state Supreme Court reviewed those findings. Kwan said his social media commentary is protected First Amendment speech. The court rejected Kwan’s argument, saying state precedent provides that judges cannot raise their first constitutional challenge to a JCC rule in a disciplinary proceeding. However, Pearce seemed to acknowledge that precedent is problematic and could be revisited in a future case. According to Pearce’s opinion, the JCC and the Utah bar association have sanctioned Kwan in the past for inappropriate political commentary and misuse of judicial authority, to include imposing jail sentences in absentia and assessing excessive fines. On one occasion, the state Supreme Court publicly reprimanded Kwan for serving as president of a nonprofit that took policy positions and criticized candidates for public office.

dailycaller.com/2019/05/24/cnn-health-layoffs/CNN laid off almost all of its health care coverage division Tuesday, in a move the network called a “crazy rumor” less than three weeks ago. While Dr. Sanjay Gupta is expected to keep his job, most of the rest of the division, based out of Atlanta, were released. Fox News reported: TVNewser, a media watchdog site started by CNN’s Brian Stelter, managed to get confirmation from the network — just in time for a Friday news dump. “As part of the normal course of business, our newsgathering team made a small restructure earlier this week that ultimately impacts 6-7 employees within CNN’s Health Unit,” a CNN spokesperson told TVNewser’s A.J. Katz. Many health department staffers met with human resources on Tuesday. Katz noted that correspondent Elizabeth Cohen is also safe. Katz told Fox News that three divisions—CNN Health, CNN Climate, and the network’s Atlanta-based Southeast Bureau—will be combined into one. (RELATED: CNN Wrote Over 20 Articles On Covington Catholic Students, Ignores Philly Muslim Children Chanting About Chopping Off Heads) Employees are “shocked,” Fox News reported, because CNN Health “is considered successful” and the network had just firmly denied layoff rumors earlier this month. In fact, executive vice president Allison Gollust told Fox News on May 7 that there were “no mass layoffs” in the works. “I have no idea where that crazy rumor came from,” she said. “We have recently offered a voluntary buyout option for employees, and just over 100 people voluntarily decided to take it. That’s it. We have nearly 4,000 people at CNN … and around 100 of them exercised the option for a program that was offered. That’s it. Those are the facts.” Interestingly, an anonymous media figure told The Daily Wire that the unit was “one of the few departments that wasn’t focused on anti-Trump stuff.”

Time magazine columnist tweeted out a quote by President Trump that was negative and went viral. Then, he admitted the quote was made up. dailycaller.com/2019/05/26/ian-bremmer-fake-trump-quote/Time Magazine columnist Ian Bremmer on Sunday tweeted a quote from President Donald Trump about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un that quickly went viral — but it wasn’t real. “President Trump in Tokyo: ‘Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden.'” Bremmer wrote on Twitter. While Trump did praise the North Korean dictator’s insult of former Vice President Joe Biden, the president never said what Bremmer quoted him saying — because Bremmer made it up. (RELATED: 9 Times The Media Pushed Misinformation About Brett Kavanaugh) Bremmer left the false post up for several hours before conceding he made up the quote and deleting the tweet, which he defended as “plausible.” “This is objectively a completely ludicrous quote. And yet kinda plausible. Especially on twitter, where people automatically support whatever political position they have. That’s the point.” Bremmer wrote in a since-deleted correction. Bremmer’s tweet went viral among Trump critics before he took it down. “Don’t shrug your shoulders. Don’t get used to this insanity,” wrote CNN contributor Ana Navarro. “The President of the United States praising a cruel dictator who violates human rights, threatens nuclear attacks, oppresses his people, and kills political opponents, IS NOT FREAKING NORMAL,” Navarro added. Her tweet amplifying Bremmer’s fake quote was shared thousands of times across Twitter. Navarro was far from alone in falling for the made up quote. Democratic Calif. Rep. Ted Lieu also spread Bremmer’s false tweet. Lieu later wrote that he “removed the retweet” after Bremmer admitted the quote was fake. Left-wing activist group Media Matters‘ deputy director of rapid response, Andrew Lawrence, also amplified the invented quote. Lawrence called it “equally incredible how easily manipulated the president is and also that democrats havent [sic] figured out how to take advantage of this yet,” pointing to Bremmer’s false tweet. Other critics of the president similarly promoted the false information.

www.dailywire.com/news/47701/ex-cnn-contributors-network-openly-despises-james-barrettAccording to several former contributors to the cable news network, CNN has increasingly become the anti-conservative, "hate Trump" network that allows only Republicans critical of the president on their airwaves and has systematically "squeezed out" conservative voices. "Most of us got squeezed out involuntarily," former CNN contributor and former Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) told Mediaite. "I was there for 2 years and was certainly willing to continue. It was clear to me in the end that the Republicans they prefer are anti-Trump Republicans." Mediaite also spoke with former CNN analyst Stephen Moore, who echoed Kingston's sentiments about the network's apparent preference for anti-Trump Republicans, noting that one of the few Republicans they feature is former Ohio Gov. and vocal Trump critic John Kasich. "CNN is the hate Trump network," said Moore. "They just trash Trump every single hour of every single day. All they’ve talked about for two years is the Muller report and how bad does it make them look now that it proved nothing?" Another former CNN contributor that has not been shy about voicing complaints about CNN's "obvious" bias is talk radio host Buck Sexton, who told Mediate that the network now "openly despises conservatives who are pro-Trump." "CNN used to pretend it accepted right wing voices for balance, but now it openly despises conservatives who are pro-Trump," Sexton told Mediaite. "Today the entire enterprise clings to a fundamental dishonesty: that it has no political agenda. Taking down Trump is obviously the agenda. And in this regard, some of CNN’s ‘hard news’ anchors are the biggest journalistic frauds of all." As Fox News notes, the list of CNN's right-leaning voices has been dwindling at a rapid pace in recent months. Some of their departures have been prompted by Trump appointments: "Last week, the network fired former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli as reports indicated he was being considered for a high-ranking immigration post in the Department of Homeland Security. Earlier this year, CNN fired economic analyst Stephen Moore after President Trump nominated him to serve on the Federal Reserve Board." Others have been fired ostensibly over scandals, the competing cable news network reports: "Previously, CNN let go other commentators who supported President Trump. Contributors Jeffrey Lord and Ed Martin were fired for remarks they made outside the network. Paris Denard was let go after he was accused of sexual misconduct from a previous job." Others, like Kingston, former South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer, Corey Lewandowski, Marc Short and Jason Miller, found that their contracts, often short-lived, were not renewed. As The Daily Wire noted last week, amid accusations of the network's political bias against those on the right, particularly those who support the president, and declining ratings, CNN is also reportedly facing significant layoffs. "Specific details were not yet known, but a source told Fox News that 'basically the whole division' will lose their jobs," Fox New's Brian Flood reported last week. TVNewser confirmed that report on Friday. Related: ‘TRUMP BROKE CNN’: Layoffs Continue To Rock Far-Left Network, Former Employees Trash Company

The Pope warning of the rise of racism as Nationalists gain in the latest EU elections: www.straitstimes.com/world/europe/pope-francis-sounds-racism-alarm-as-eu-nationalists-win-bigPope Francis warned on Monday (May 27) against a rise of intolerance and racism as far-right nationalists and eurosceptic parties made historic gains in European elections. “The signs of meanness we see around us heighten our fear of ‘the other’, the unknown, the marginalised, the foreigner,” he said in a message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees. “It is not just about them, but about all of us, and about the present and future of the human family. “Migrants, especially those who are most vulnerable, help us to read the ‘signs of the times’,” he said. Nationalist forces from Marine Le Pen in France to Matteo Salvini in Italy and Nigel Farage in Britain boasted significant gains in the EU Parliament elections which wound up on Sunday. Salvini’s far-right League party did particularly well in Italy in centres seen as migrant “hot spots”, including a town held up by the left as a model of tolerance and integration… …”To some extent, the fear is legitimate, also because the preparation for this encounter is lacking,” he said, alluding to often piecemeal and inadequate approaches to refugee integration. “But the problem is not that we have doubts and fears. The problem is when they condition our way of thinking and acting to the point of making us intolerant, closed and perhaps even – without realising it – racist,” he added.

Germany telling Jews not to wear traditional Jewish attire so they won't be discriminated against: dailycaller.com/2019/05/27/us-ambassador-germany-kippah/wear their traditional Kippah caps Saturday, amid concerns about rising anti-Semitism. Dr. Felix Klein, Germany’s commissioner for combating anti-Semitism, advised German Jews Saturday, not to wear the traditional Jewish Kippah head wear due to a recent surge in anti-Semitic attacks, the Guardian reports. “I cannot advise Jews to wear the kippah everywhere, all the time, in Germany,” Klein said to the Funke regional press group in an interview. The comments sparked a flurry of criticism from foreign officials including Richard Grenell, U.S. ambassador to Germany, and President Reuven Rivlin of Israel. Grenell responded to the message from Klein on Twitter, saying, “The opposite is true. Wear your kippa. Wear your friend’s kippa. Borrow a kippa and wear it for our Jewish neighbors. Educate people that we are a diverse society.” Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said Sunday that he was “shocked” by Klein’s advisement and said that is was a “capitulation to antisemitism.” “Fears about the security of German Jews are a capitulation to antisemitism and an admittance that, again, Jews are not safe on German soil,” Rivlin said, according to the Guardian. (RELATED: Al Jazeera Gets Twitter To Silence Critics Of Its Video Implying Jews Benefited From The Holocaust) He continued, “We will never submit, will never lower our gaze and will never react to antisemitism with defeatism – and expect and demand our allies act in the same way.”

www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2019/05/27/anti-israel-bernie-sanders-adviser-meets-palestinian-flack-hanan-ashrawi-slams-trump/adviser to Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), met recently with Palestinian spokesperson Hanan Ashrawi and reportedly denounced President Donald Trump, whose administration recently denied Ashrawi a visa to the U.S. The Jerusalem Post reported Monday: Palestinian politician Hanan Ashrawi met with Matt Duss, foreign policy advisor to Senator Bernie Sanders, according to a statement released by the Department of Public Diplomacy and Policy of the Palestine Liberation Organization on Monday. According to the statement, “the two parties discussed the Trump administration’s hostile approach in the region and its destructive policies that undermine the prospects of peace and the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights to freedom.” Ashrawi, once a frequent guest on American television is known for her acerbic anti-Israel rhetoric. As Breitbart News recently noted (original links): Ashrawi, a longtime member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, served as late PLO leader Yasser Arafat’s deputy. She routinely accuses Israel of “apartheid”, “ethnic cleansing” and “stealing Palestinian land.” She has called Israel the “most racist, violent government in world history.” Ashrawi lambasted the Israeli electorate after the April 9 national elections, saying that it … “chose to entrench and expand apartheid.” Duss is from a family of anti-Israel activists, and was Middle East director of the left-wing Center for American Progress (CAP) during a 2012 controversy that saw several other staffers depart the organization over their use of antisemitic rhetoric. Duss himself has compared Israel to the segregated South and backs a boycott of the Jewish state. At the time, CAP’s vice president, Faiz Shakir, admitted that the language used by the CAP staffers was antisemitic. Shakir is now Sanders’s campaign manager. The meeting between Duss and Ashrawi is the latest sign that the Sanders campaign has taken an explicitly anti-Israel turn. Earlier this month, he suggested that he would move the U.S. embassy back to Tel Aviv from Jerusalem if elected president. Last month, he told a CNN town hall that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government was “racist.” Ashrawi was denied a visa to the U.S. earlier this month without explanation. ..........

www.breitbart.com/the-media/2019/05/28/new-york-times-blames-netanyahu-trump-for-antisemitism-in-europe/The New York Times is facing criticism for publishing an editorial Sunday about the resurgence of antisemitism in Europe in which it suggested Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump shared the blame. The editorial, “The Old Scourge of Anti-Semitism Rises Anew in Europe,” responded to what the Times calls the “alarming reality that anti-Semitism is sharply on the rise, often from the sadly familiar direction of the far right, but also from Islamists and the far left.” www.nytimes.com/2019/05/26/opinion/antisemitism-europe-germany.htmlUK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, to the problem. But it also argued: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not helped matters by finding common cause with nationalist leaders like the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban or President Trump so long as they do not support a Palestinian state.” The implication seemed to be that Orban and Trump are antisemites — or that nationalism, by definition, is antisemitic. Dr. Michael Oren, the former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. during President Barack Obama’s tenure, was furious, noting on Twitter that the Times had omitted left-wing American politicians such as Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who have actually used antisemitic rhetoric repeatedly. He also referred to the Times‘ recent publication of an antisemitic cartoon in its international edition. depicting Netanyahu as a dog with a Star of David collar, leading a yarmulke-clad President Trump. Ironically, the editorial concluded: “Speak up, now, when you glimpse evidence of anti-Semitism, particularly within your own ranks, or risk enabling the spread of this deadly virus.”

Not surprising, but extremely doubtful that Hollywood, etc will pay attention: dailycaller.com/2019/05/28/poll-americans-disney-remakes-politically-correct/Most Americans don’t want politically correct movie remakes, a recent Morning Consult/Hollywood Reporter poll found. Just 21 percent of those polled said filmmakers should get rid of offensive plotlines and stereotypes when remaking old movies, while 55 percent said they should adhere as closely to the original script as possible. The sentiment largely held true among Democrats, Republicans, whites, blacks and hispanics, according to the poll, published last week. Even among Democrats, the most opposed to adhering to the original, 47 percent said the remake should not “change with the times.” Morning Consult tied the poll to Disney’s string of live-action remakes of old classics, most recently “Aladdin.” Earlier this year, Disney released a remake of “Dumbo.” The movie did not include a scene from the original in which Dumbo meets a group of racially stereotypical crows led by “Jim Crow.” And an upcoming remake of “Lady and the Tramp” will not include the Siamese cats featured in the original because they were deemed offensive to Asians. (RELATED: Watch Will Smith In ‘Aladdin’ Trailer) “New data shows that consumers are willing to overlook potentially controversial elements if the live action version stays true to the original,” Morning Consult reported. The poll was conducted May 9-11, and has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.

So, during President Trump's visit to Japan this happened:
So, cue the liberal outrage:
.......
Flashback to a similar "outrageous" event last year:
The U.S. Air Force later said the airmen were not in violation of the UMCJ. “There is no rule against Airmen bringing personal items to be signed by the president,” U.S. Air Forces Europe said in a statement.
There have been other shows of support for Trump from the military that have not garnered as much attention. In January, Trump was greeted by a standing ovation at the Pentagon, and an attendee waving a MAGA hat. One source said the attendee was a female in a military uniform.

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/weak-men-more-likely-to-be-socialists-study-claims-rsnc3l8mkWeak men more likely to be socialists, study claims Don’t tell John Prescott, but maybe socialists are socialists because they aren’t that good in a fight. Conversely, free marketeers may not actually have a sincere belief in the power of Adam Smith’s unseeing hand - and instead have a justified belief in the power of their clenched fist. A study has found that weaker men are more likely to be in favour of redistributive taxation. The strong on the other hand, who in their cavemen past had no problems controlling both women and resources they had no intention of sharing, are far less likely to see the virtue of egalitarian social policies.

French Senate gives Macron the finger: www.thelocal.fr/20190528/french-senate-says-notre-dame-must-be-restored-exactly-to-how-it-wasFrench Senators have stipulated that Notre-Dame cathedral must be restored exactly how it was before the devastating fire that tore through the Paris landmark. On Monday evening, the French Senate approved the government’s Notre-Dame restoration bill – but added a clause that it must be restored to the state it was before the blaze, striking a blow to the government which had launched an international architecture competition to debate ideas on the restoration. The subject of the rebuilding of the cathedral – which was left badly damaged after fire tore through the roof and destroyed the spire on April 15 – has become a fraught battleground between traditionalists who want an exact restoration and others who favour a more imaginative take.

Representative Cummings blasts the report of his wife running a "Pay for play" scheme: www.foxnews.com/politics/cummings-fights-baseless-allegations-against-wifes-non-profit-agency“These baseless claims come from a group funded by right-wing mega-donors known for their political hit jobs,” Cummings said in a statement to Fox News. “I am confident that they will be exposed for what they really are – a fabricated distraction from the important work being done on behalf of Americans, such as lowering the skyrocketing prices of prescription drugs.” ..........
