www.dailywire.com/news/watch-dr-birx-asked-about-l-a-study-finding-coronavirus-death-rate-in-line-with-the-fluWATCH: Dr. Birx Asked About L.A. Study Finding Coronavirus Death Rate ‘In Line With’ The FluDuring the Coronavirus Task Force press briefing on Monday, task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx was asked about the potentially significant early findings of a study by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on the infection rate in L.A., which found that the fatality rate is “much lower” than experts previously thought — or as one reporter pointed out, that the fatality rate is “more in line with the 2017-2018 flu than what we’ve seen in some other areas of the world.” Dr. Birx responded by saying the task force is extremely interested in studies like the one being conducted in Los Angeles because they still have no definitive data on the number of asymptomatic cases, which is crucial to understanding the infectious rate and the mortality rate. While she said the team is looking at the potentially significant findings of the study — which its lead researcher said could require authorities to “recalibrate disease prediction models and rethink public health strategies” — Birx also cautioned that testing is not always “100% accurate.” In a press release Monday, the L.A. County Department of Public Health announced that the early results of its highly anticipated joint study with the University of Southern California on COVID-19 infections rates in the county suggest that “infections from the new coronavirus are far more widespread — and the fatality rate much lower — in L.A. County than previously thought.” “Based on results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus,” the press release states. “Adjusting this estimate for statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus — which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have had the infection. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county by the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600.” If the study’s early estimates are correct, the fatality rate in the county could range from around 0.14% to 0.28% — far lower than the 4.5% found by looking at only the current confirmed cases in the county (13,817 cases, 617 deaths) or the 3.7% by looking at confirmed cases and deaths in the state (28,964 cases, 1,072 deaths). The fatality rate of the flu is around 0.1%. “We haven’t known the true extent of COVID-19 infections in our community because we have only tested people with symptoms, and the availability of tests has been limited,” said USC Public Policy Professor Neeraj Sood, the study’s lead researcher. “The estimates also suggest that we might have to recalibrate disease prediction models and rethink public health strategies.” During the press briefing Monday, a reporter asked Dr. Birx about the study, noting that the researchers believe as many as 442,000 people in L.A. County may have already been infected, and said that the study suggests two things: that you may have “a lot more people out there who could be spreading the virus,” but that the mortality rate is “more in line with the 2017-2018 flu than what we’ve seen in some other areas of the world.” Birx responded by saying that they are “looking at all those studies very carefully,” but suggested that they are handling them with caution because many tests give false results. “These tests are not 100% sensitive or specific,” Birx emphasized. That said, the idea that more people have carried and are carrying the virus who are asymptomatic than confirmed cases indicate, she said, is something they are very interested in as they still have no hard data on it yet. Watch her full response below (video via the White House, relevant exchange begins at around the 48:20 mark): Below is the full text of the L.A. County Department of Public Health’s press release on the early results of the study: USC-LA County Study: Early Results of Antibody Testing Suggest Number of COVID-19 Infections Far Exceeds Number of Confirmed Cases in Los Angeles County Los Angeles (April 20, 2020) – USC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released preliminary results from a collaborative scientific study that suggests infections from the new coronavirus are far more widespread – and the fatality rate much lower – in L.A. County than previously thought. The results are from the first round of an ongoing study by USC researchers and Public Health officials. They will be conducting antibody testing over time on a series of representative samples of adults to determine the scope and spread of the pandemic across the county. Based on results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county’s adult population has antibody to the virus- which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have had the infection. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county by the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600. “We haven’t known the true extent of COVID-19 infections in our community because we have only tested people with symptoms, and the availability of tests has been limited,” said lead investigator Neeraj Sood, a USC professor of public policy at USC Price School for Public Policy and senior fellow at USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics. “The estimates also suggest that we might have to recalibrate disease prediction models and rethink public health strategies.” The results have important implications for public health efforts to control the local epidemic. “These results indicate that many persons may have been unknowingly infected and at risk of transmitting the virus to others,” said Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of the L.A. County Department of Public Health. “These findings underscore the importance of expanded polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing to diagnose those with infection so they can be isolated and quarantined, while also maintaining the broad social distancing interventions.” The antibody test is helpful for identifying past infection, but a PCR test is required to diagnose current infection. “Though the results indicate a lower risk of death among those with infection than was previously thought, the number of COVID-related deaths each day continues to mount, highlighting the need for continued vigorous prevention and control efforts,” said Dr. Paul Simon, chief science officer at L.A. County Department of Public Health and co-lead on the study. The study’s results have not yet been peer reviewed by other scientists. The researchers plan to test new groups of participants every few weeks in coming months to gauge the pandemic’s trajectory in the region. About the study With help from medical students from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, USC researchers and Public Health officials conducted drive-through antibody testing April 10th and 11th at six sites. Participants were recruited via a proprietary database that is representative of the county population. The database is maintained by LRW Group, a market research firm. The researchers used a rapid antibody test for the study. The FDA allows such tests for public health surveillance to gain greater clarity on actual infection rates. The test’s accuracy was further assessed at a lab at Stanford University, using blood samples that were positive and negative for COVID-19. In addition to Sood and Simon, other authors and institutions contributing to the study include Peggy Ebner of the Keck School; Daniel Eichner of the Sports Medicine Research & Testing Laboratory; Jeffrey Reynolds of LRW Group; Eran Bendavid and Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford University School of Medicine. The study was supported with funding from USC Schwarzenegger Institute, USC Lusk Center, USC President’s Office, Jedel Foundation, LRW Group, Soap Box Sample, and several individual donors.

thefederalist.com/2020/04/21/the-wuhan-virus-is-finally-awakening-europe-to-chinas-imperialism/The Wuhan Virus Is Finally Awakening Europe To China’s Imperialism Beijing is about to realize that when you have lost the support of both the Germans and the British, you will possibly lose the rest of Europe as well. Sumantra MaitraBy Sumantra Maitra APRIL 21, 2020 German political culture is the most passive-aggressive on the continent. German politicians rarely raise their voices or act animatedly. German media, right and left, avoid jingoism. Their history dictates that Germans generally value public propriety and a calm demeanor much more than in their hyper-aggressive past. It doesn’t mean Germans have lost their political intelligence; they essentially dominate the continent, after all. But it does mean Germans care about how they look and are perceived a lot more than the French or the Anglo-Americans do. One can like or dislike this historical change, but it remains a fact. It will, therefore, come as a surprise that in the largest German newspaper lately, one can read some of the strongest language against China. As calls for reparation grew in Germany, echoing those from elsewhere in Europe, the Chinese Embassy wrote a strong open letter “reminding” Germans of their “historic friendship.” That resulted in an editorial in Bild, the largest newspaper in Germany, accusing the Chinese of imperialism. Bild editor Julian Reichelt recorded a video and wrote the editorial accusing Chinese leader Xi Jinping of surveillance and other crimes. “Your embassy tells me that I am not living up to the ‘traditional friendship of our peoples,’” Reichelt wrote, adding, “I suppose you consider it a great ‘friendship’ when you now generously send masks around the world. This isn’t friendship, I would call it imperialism hidden behind a smile — a Trojan Horse.” Reichelt added, “You plan to strengthen China through a plague that you exported. You will not succeed.” A separate opinion in Welt am Sonntag, another German newspaper, accused the World Health Organization of being Beijing’s mouthpiece and asked democratic countries to stand up against the corruption of institutions by authoritarian powers. The Global Landscape Is Changing There’s a political stir in the United Kingdom, as the British government paid China $20 million for faulty test kits. Now the former head of the MI6 has declared that China hid the details of the Wuhan virus and therefore is solely responsible, which is seen as Great Britain hardening its stance against Chinese influence. Beijing is about to realize that when you have lost the support of both the Germans and the British, you will possibly lose the rest of Europe. How much this changes future global competition remains to be seen, but Asia is ahead of Europe and America in the curve. In fact, America is absent from this for some reason, which is incredible, given President Donald Trump’s inherent skepticism of Chinese trade. Japan is leading a global effort to fund the reestablishment of diverse supply chains and end the Chinese monopoly and death grip over the civilized world. The Chinese government now fears that this Japanese-led economic package could lead to an exodus of Chinese manufacturing and redistribute it among different Association of Southeast Asian Nations countries so no one country has any monopoly over goods. India has restructured foreign direct investment rules to stop Chinese firms from investing or buying Indian land or businesses. Even Australia is debating curtailing Chinese students in Australian universities, the major source of higher-ed funding. While direct reparation is not possible from China without the threat of a world war, cutting Chinese monopoly and manufacturing, as well as breaking up corrupt international institutions, is a good way of making China pay for all the deaths and economic losses. The Great Power Rivalry Is Back But it is ironic to see Europeans realizing some hard historic truths. It takes either grave historical ignorance or utter idiocy to believe history is monodirectional, but for some reason, Europeans believed in the liberal arc of history bending inevitably toward an egalitarian, progressive, nationless future, trusting the Pinkerian idea that economics trumps geopolitics and that one can survive in a world of great powers simply by subscribing to the rule of law and valuing norms. Europeans are not alone. Many in the D.C. foreign policy establishment still desire a return to the liberal world order of the ’90s and early 2000s. Hundreds of foreign policy professionals in Europe and the Americas who grew up studying the same idiotic theories under the same liberal professors, and then mindlessly regurgitating them as talking points, now repeat the same argument for a “liberal order.” Unfortunately, this virus and subsequent Chinese profiteering drove a stake through that half-dead idea. Europeans are now realizing, just as some Americans, that the old wisdom of great power rivalry is back. The actors might change, but the game remains the same. It is hitting the European political establishment harder than expected, as their entire postmodern worldview is predicated on free trade and the weakening of martial prowess and national borders. International institutions are not saving them from creeping Chinese hegemony — in fact, these institutions are facilitating it. That American-led order that results in gnashing teeth and disdain in European capitals about U.S. demands for burden-sharing in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is far, far better than the glimpse of the Chinese-dominated system evident the last few months.

A tweet was shared throughout Twitter showing an individual labeled as a Trump supporter with a Nazi sign at a Trump rally. It was another fake news lie slandering Trump supporters. The picture above was reportedly posted as a depiction of Trump supporters last weekend at a Michigan rally protesting Michigan’s Democrat Governor’s insane and tyrannical mandates due to the coronavirus. This was reported at Reason.com by Elizabeth Nolan Brown who warned not to get fooled by tweets like the one above: reason.com/2020/04/20/dont-get-fooled-by-fake-photos-of-coronavirus-lockdown-protests/After last week’s protest around the Michigan Capitol, a picture of someone holding a large swastika flag that said “TRUMP PENCE” began circulating on social media as a sign of the supposed Nazi leanings of Trump supporters and the people protesting. But after some viral outrage about the kind of people the conservative organizers of these protests were in cahoots with, it turns out that the picture in question actually came from a March 2 Bernie Sanders rally in Boise, Idaho. Here is that March 2nd tweet: The twitter account that first tweeted the offensive picture and dishonest tweet was with the handle Thunder Walks About, who then claimed the picture was actually from a Boise, Idaho Bernie rally, but it was still Trump Supporters: Ms. Brown then reported: The man holding the swastika flag also showed up at a rally in Arizona, where he was kicked out, shouted anti-Semitic slurs at people, and was subsequently reported on by Buzzfeed. He was identified as Robert Sterkeson, who describes himself as a “stunt activist” and the Anti-Defamation League describes as a white supremacist.” This is incorrect, the man holding the flag is not Robert Sterkeson, the real culprit is a member of Bernie Sanders’ PR team who was deliberately posting in front of Trump supporters in order to create a fake incident. This event took place over a month ago in Ann Morrison park in Boise, ID. We found that the twitter account Thunder Walks About is a fake account that uses the picture of an individual from the UK, likely without her knowing it, as the person running the account:

www.dailywire.com/news/go-f-yourself-gretch-michigan-governor-grilled-over-wwii-comments‘GO F*** YOURSELF, GRETCH’: Michigan Governor Grilled Over WWII Comments Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer faced intense backlash on Monday evening after she compared protests against her overreaching measures restricting the rights of residents in her state to people’s attitudes during World War II. Whitmer, who recently was considered a rising star in the Democrat Party and was being considered as a potential VP pick for Joe Biden, is seeing her popularity plummet as residents in her state are not happy with the extreme measures that she has instituted. The growing movement against Whitmer comes as she is struggling to effectively manage a state with one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks in the U.S. In response to the outbreak, Whitmer has aggressively expanded her control over her residents’ lives. The Wall Street Journal reported: Michigan now bans lawn and landscaping services, motor boating and golf. Large stores can’t sell paint, furniture or garden equipment. People aren’t allowed to travel between residences, which blocks them from visiting second homes and hunting cabins. Long-distance drives that don’t meet a “critical” need, according to the governor’s definition, are prohibited. Whitmer’s clampdown over the rights of residents in her state have led to protests against her, and an online petition has gained hundreds of thousands of signatures to have her recalled as the state’s governor. Whitmer sought to deflect heat off of her during a press conference on Monday, comparing the coronavirus outbreak to fighting in World War II. “In World War II, there weren’t people lining up at the Capitol to protest the fact that they had to drop everything they were doing, and build planes, or tanks, or to ration food,” Whitmer said. “They rolled up their sleeves, and they got to work.” To say that Whitmer’s words were not well received online would be a major understatement as the overwhelming majority of comments were negative. Columnist Kurt Schlichter wrote: “In World War II Michigan didn’t have a dizzy fascist as the governor” Writer Daniel Horowitz wrote: “Yeah, they were actually building stuff.” Political commentator John Hawkins wrote: “They were fighting against people then that wanted to destroy their livelihoods, take their freedom and keep them imprisoned. Now, the person that wants to do that is their own governor.” Another Twitter user commented: “Go f*** yourself, Gretch. They had jobs and could buy seeds.” Writer Mike Bastasch wrote: “She of course isn’t mentioning that World War 2 saw a massive industrial boom that’s credited with lifting us out of the depression… as opposed to today where governors, like her, are forcing people out of work.” Fox News host Laura Ingraham mocked Whitmer, tweeting, “Michigan’s finest.” Commentary Editor Noah Rothman wrote: “Presumably, this is a critique of her state’s citizens, but it could just as easily be a struggle session. That sound is the VP buzz evaporating into a profoundly disquieting silence.” Matthew Tyrmand wrote: “#KarenWhitmer is truly a stupid woman for expositing such a false equivalence with such a straight face. She might even make #DementiaJoe look on the ball 😂” #KarenWhitmer is truly a stupid woman for expositing such a false equivalence with such a straight face. There was an coronavirus outbreak aboard the French aircraft carrier De Gaulle. So far, nearly 60% of the crew have tested positive for the virus. However, no deaths and only eight hospitalizations have been reported. This suggests the virus is losing its potency or it never was that lethal to begin with. And it may also be due to better treatment for coronavirus cases. www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2020/04/20/french-carrier-surpasses-theodore-roosevelt-with-over-1000-confirmed-cases-of-covid-19/Recent reports out of France say that more than 1,000 sailors aboard the country’s aircraft carrier, Charles de Gaulle, have tested positive for COVID-19, a number that could continue to surge as the crew awaits approximately 930 more test results. The outbreak onboard the French navy’s flagship forced leadership to call off the remaining two weeks of the carrier’s scheduled deployment to the North Atlantic. The ship, which carries a crew of nearly 1,800, pulled into port last week at Toulon Naval Base in southern France. In all, 1,081 crew members from the Charles de Gaulle naval group have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. That total comes almost entirely from the carrier, and includes at least two U.S. sailors who were assigned to the ship as part of the U.S. Navy’s Personnel Exchange Program. The American sailors have since been removed from the ship and “are receiving excellent host nation medical care at French facilities,” Navy officials said. The declining health of one French sailor, meanwhile, necessitated a transfer to the intensive care unit. Partially complicating the early detection process onboard Charles de Gaulle was the rate of asymptomatic carriers. Of the confirmed cases, nearly half showed no symptoms, according to a New York Times report. Additionally, masks were not made available until late in the ship’s deployment. This, coupled with a mid-March stop in the port city of Brest in which sailors disembarked and visited bars and restaurants — prior to the mandated national lockdown ordered by French President Emmanuel Macron — is believed to have accelerated the virus’ spread throughout the ship’s tight quarters. The debilitating spread of the virus onboard Charles de Gaulle, France’s lone carrier, has sparked concern about the nation’s ability to remain ready to fight. Unlike the U.S. Navy, which touts 10 other active carriers in addition to the coronavirus-stricken Theodore Roosevelt, losing the Charles de Gaulle for an extended period could cripple France’s nuclear deterrence capabilities, the Times report said.

www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/21/exclusive-steve-scalise-sickening-to-watch-pelosi-use-small-business-aid-as-leverage/House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Monday that it is “sickening” to watch House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) use small business aid as leverage to include more leftist provisions in future coronavirus legislation. Scalise has collected stories from businesses across his district and the country that can no longer obtain a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan due to Pelosi’s objection to a simple renewal of the program. Scalise described the stories as “heartbreaking” and said that he hopes his website will illustrate Pelosi’s “PPP obstruction.” Scalise told Breitbart News, “I have asked small businesses across the country who have been rejected because the PPP ran out of money, trying to hold their business together, to share their story with me. And we received hundreds of stories, and so many of them are heartbreaking. Some of them are just trying to hold on to their family business and maybe the 20 employees that have been with them since the start of the company, and they might not be able to make it because Pelosi is playing these games.” “I think the more we share these stories, it shows that there’s a human face to this game of chicken they’re playing with their livelihoods with millions of Americans, and hopefully that gets them past this hostage-taking attitude they have and gets them to a point where they reach out and help somebody and not do it in exchange for some unrelated liberal wish list,” Scalise added. Delta Electronics Company in Harvey, Louisiana, said: We are about 7 days away from shutting our doors down for good and possibly declaring bankruptcy. We don’t know what else to do. I’m tired of crying myself to sleep every night wondering what tomorrow holds. Will we lose everything we worked for? Our house? Our retirement? The Democrats need to stop playing games with peoples lives from their million dollar homes with their financially secure futures. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Star Coaches in Atlanta, Georgia, said: I feel very bullied by Pelosi. I’m sure she’s in “no hurry” approving the extra funds… Meanwhile my husband almost had a mental breakdown yesterday. He’s had his tour-bus business for 30 years and then told the one saving hand that was within reach, one day away from having a SBA approval now went to, sorry we ran out of funds and Pelosi won’t let us deliver any more even though we have it! We’re now accumulating $200,000 in debt every month we’re closed, because of bus lease payments and bus insurance. As small businesses continue to suffer from the lack of PPP funding, Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Tina Smith (D-MN), as well as at least 15 House Democrats, called for an immediate replenishing of the PPP despite Pelosi’s objections. On Sunday, Pelosi feigned ignorance about the rising number of Democrats calling for refusing the small business aid program. Scalise told Breitbart News that Pelosi is holding back small business aid to appease the Democrats’ influential progressive wing such as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Pramila Jayapal (D-WI). “They’re not just holding back Republican pleas, they’re holding back Democrats, moderate mainstream Democrats who want relief for their districts as well, and Pelosi is ignoring those pleas to appease her radical fringe literally at the expense of millions of families who are struggling for their livelihood,” he said. Scalise said that the PPP has “been incredibly successful, and it’s literally the only thing holding these businesses together, and now she and AOC and some of these other radicals are trying to use these workers’ jobs as leverage to get unrelated things like the Green New Deal. It’s sickening to watch.” Scalise asked rhetorically, “And what kind of person would literally threaten the livelihood in the worst crisis to try to exhort some kind of hostage leverage as a lifeline?”

Democrat lawmakers are grumbling about not getting enough socialist priorities in the new package to fund American small businesses.
Socialist Rep. Primila Jayapal (D-WA) went online yesterday in a conference call with fellow socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and spoke out against funding small businesses until Democrats stuff the package with socialist goodies.
Republicans just wanted more money for the program. Democrats want more goodies. Never, ever forget what they are doing to small businesses in the US.

Poor Chris Cuomo. The CNN host was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 31. The brave talking head locked himself in his basement to protect his family from the virus, which is less deadly than the flu. And — so heroic — he continued to do his daily show, at one point blasting President Trump for pushing “bullshit.” But now, in a development that means the world is going to be OK after all, Cuomo has emerged from his basement quarantine zone. And, of course, Cuomo had the whole thing filmed and posted it on social media. “All right, here it is, the official re-entry from the basement, ” he said. “This is what I’ve been dreaming of literally for weeks,” said Cuomo as he walked up the stairs from his basement. “This is the dream. Just to be back up here doing normal things.” The video was (apparently) intended to make viewers think that Cuomo had been in the basement lo these last 21 days (and CNN viewers will believe just about anything). But Cuomo had broken his “self-isolation” at least once before, traveling to his under-construction home in the East-Hamptons on Easter Sunday. How do we know that? Because he got into an altercation with a resident there, who was riding by on his bicycle, and later ranted about it. On Easter, Cuomo berated the bicyclists, later calling him a “jackass, loser, fat-tire biker being able to pull over and get in my space and talk bullshit to me” on his Sirius-XM radio show. The New York Post tracked down the bicyclist. nypost.com/2020/04/14/long-island-bicyclist-verbally-attacked-by-chris-cuomo-fires-back/“‘Sometimes he’s scary stupid,’ the East Hampton man, who asked to only be identified by his first name, David, said of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s little brother,” said The Post. David told The Post he was stunned that Cuomo verbally attacked him the way he did.
The 65-year-old longtime resident said he was just out for a bike ride before Easter dinner when he spotted who he thought was Chris Cuomo on property he says the CNN anchor bought in East Hampton last year. The acreage is still being developed; a steel frame for its future house is all that’s up at the moment, David said.
David said Cuomo was with his wife, another woman and three kids who were playing around on the property.
The resident said he stopped and sat on his bike “well over a hundred feet” from the property.
“I just looked and said, ‘Is that Chris Cuomo? Isn’t he supposed to be quarantined?’”David told The Post that a woman who looks like Cuomo’s wife walked up and said to him, “May I help you?” “I’m riding my bike,” he said, then asked why Cuomo was not still in quarantine. That’s when Cuomo came over, said the man, The Post said. “He said, ‘Who the hell are you?! I can do what I want!’” David said. “He just ranted, screaming, ‘I’ll find out who you are!’
“I said to him, ‘Your brother is the coronavirus czar, and you’re not even following his rules — unnecessary travel,’” the resident said.
“He just began to boil more. He said, ‘This is not the end of this. You’ll deal with this later. We will meet again.’ If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is,” David said. The irony is rich. Cuomo has been telling viewers from the basement of his multi-million-dollar house to stay in — all while drawing his hefty paycheck — but then going out whenever he wants, even though he is carrying the virus. After his emergence, he wrote on Twitter: “Please think about others.” So pathetic. And, to borrow a phrase from the president, “fake news.”

Republicans wanted a $250 billion extension for the highly successful small business crisis package. The initial $350 billion in the program ran out in the first two weeks. THOUSANDS of small businesses applied for the loan and are waiting for Congress to refund the program.
But Nancy Pelosi is stalling. She’s struggling at home in her mansion with her gourmet ice cream. Why the hell should she care?
Now this… Rather than just refund the program Democrats and Pelosi want to fill it with more of their BS priorities. Pelosi has already stalled for over a week now.
And now that Democrats inserted new rules into the program, even if the package passes today it will take another week for the banks and Small Business Association to restructure the program.
So it will take another week before these struggling businesses see any money.
NEVER, EVER FORGET what Democrats are doing to Small Businesses.

dailycaller.com/2020/04/21/joe-scarborough-msnbc-former-conservatives-trump-cult-kill-seniors/MSNBC host Joe Scarborough claimed Tuesday that conservatives have left their ideological home for “this cult” of President Donald Trump that is sacrificing the lives of America’s seniors. “What’s happened to conservatism … Now, you actually have people who were once conservative, who are now in this cult following Donald Trump blindly,” Scarborough said on “Morning Joe.” Although the morning host allowed that he was “not talking about all Donald Trump supporters,” he cited “these people who make their living in this cottage industry spreading conspiracy theories today that can get members of the greatest generation sick and even, you know, could even kill them.” (RELATED: Joe Scarborough: Dr. Phil And Dr. Oz Spreading ‘Propaganda’ For Trump) Scarborough who has called himself a conservative over the years and was once a Republican congressman from Florida, claimed that conservatism today has lost its way and that the Republican Party no longer reflects those ideological values. He said he remembers liberal talk show host Bill Maher once referring to the party as “mean accountants” who “would at least tell us the truth.” “I don’t know how you get from a small government guy to a guy who already was running the biggest national debt in the history of America, even before this pandemic came about. It just makes no sense at all.” (RELATED: Trump Is ‘Yapping Like An Authoritarian Wannabe’ When He Says He Will Decide When Economy Reopens) Scarborough was prompted to begin his rant against Trump supporters after reiterating his belief that the true number of coronavirus deaths in the United States are “even higher” than the official totals. He claimed that “more people are dying” because they’re afraid to seek medical help at a hospital — something Scarborough suggests is a result of Trump’s “lackeys in the media” promoting a “reckless conspiracy” and urging the reopening of the economy. “I just wonder, are a few extra clicks worth endangering the lives of your parents and your grandparents and your neighbors and the people you go to church with, the people you go to synagogues with? What is worth that?” Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, who is a member of Trump’s economic task force, has said that America cannot wait until the coronavirus has completely disappeared before reopening the economy because the economy will disappear with it.

The CDC recently released coronavirus numbers from February 1, 2020 to April 18, 2020. With each day it is getting harder and harder for these so-called experts to defend their complete destruction of the American economy. Since February there have been 17,229 COVID-19 deaths. Another 7,676 died from COVID-19 and pneumonia. During this same time period 49,013 Americans died from pneumonia. And then there is the age gap. There were 20 deaths under the age of 25. That comes out to 0.1% of all coronavirus deaths. There were 13,518 deaths over 65 years of age. There is no way in hell this justifies the complete destruction of the US economy. When this is all over the good doctors and garbage IHME researchers will have a lot of explaining to do! More from Alex Berenson… Here are the numbers via the CDC website: www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/COVID19/index.htm

When the U.S. military had a chance to take out Osama bin Laden back in the 1990s — after tracking his location with the help of Afghan tribal informants — they couldn’t do so because of an order signed by then-President Bill Clinton, a new documentary reveals.
Advertisement - story continues below
The order in effect at the time allowed the Central Intelligence Agency to engage in “lethal activity” against the Al Qaeda leader, who would leader orchestrate the 9-11 attacks on the U.S., but the purpose of the strike could not be to kill him.
“We were being asked to remove this threat to the United States essentially with one hand tied behind our backs,” said now-former CIA station chief Bob Grenier in Showtime’s “The Longest War,” in a clip posted by The Daily Beast. At the time, Grenier was based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The terrorist would be killed May 2, 2011, in his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, not far from Islamabad.
“Our tribal contacts came to us and said, ‘Look, he’s in this location now. When he leaves, he’s going to have to go through this particular crossroads.’ And so what they proposed was to bury a huge cache of explosives underneath those crossroads so that when his convoy came through they could simply blow it up. And we said absolutely not. We were risking jail if we didn’t tell them that,” he said.

At the time, Clinton, the State Department, and other officials did not view bin Laden as a serious threat, the documentary’s director Greg Barker told The Beast. In fact, top Clinton officials “ignored and even ridiculed” anyone who said bin Laden was a danger.
Marty Martin, a CIA counterterrorism officer at the time, said in the documentary that “the threat was real.”

“And if President Clinton had taken action and killed Osama bin Laden, there wouldn’t have been a 9/11, and if there wouldn’t have been a 9/11 there wouldn’t have been an Afghanistan, and if there wouldn’t have been an Afghanistan there wouldn’t have been an Iraq. What would the world be like?” he said.
Clinton has discussed why he never took out bin Laden, saying he feared collateral damage in the form of civilian deaths. But the documentary
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said during a February 2016 debate that Clinton actually missed numerous opportunities to kill the terrorist.
“The responsibility of 9/11 falls on the fact that al Qaeda was allowed to grow and prosper and the decision was not made to take out their leader when the chance existed to do so. Not once but four times according to the 9/11 report. President Clinton has acknowledged that as a regret,” he said.
“The day before the Sept. 11 attacks,” The Washington Post reported in 2016, “Clinton told businessmen in Australia that he had decided against launching a strike in Kandahar out of concern for civilian casualties: ‘I nearly got him. And I could have killed him, but I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him. And so I didn’t do it.'”

www.dailywire.com/news/la-times-the-real-victims-here-are-the-batsLA Times: The Real Victims Here Are The Bats You would expect that with its leftist proclivities and penchant for identity politics The Los Angeles Times would write an article defending what they perceive to be a victim group, but on Tuesday, in the midst of the coronavirus crisis threatening the stability of the world and the human race, the Times published an article defending one supposed victim group from humans: Bats. Yup, while the coronavirus COVID-19 that has inflicted worldwide trauma is indelibly associated with bats, the Times took space to argue that the creatures are really the victims, titling the piece, “Bats get blamed for the coronavirus. But bats face their own virus risk — from humans.” The article begins with a rather bland paragraph, considering the voluminous evidence supporting it: “As forensic virologists search to uncover the origins of COVID-19, bats have been fingered as a likely source. Genetic analyses show the virus is very similar to one harbored by Chinese horseshoe bats, and researchers think it’s possible it jumped from those winged mammals to people.” But then, the Times swiftly reverses direction: “But some bat lovers and chiropterologists — scientists who study the flying mammals — are adamant there is no proof. Instead, they’re wringing their hands about the reverse: That people with COVID-19 could spread the disease to their furry, nocturnal housemates.” How does the Times support this nebulous claim? With speculative proof, writing, “There is no evidence indicating that bats can get the coronavirus from people, said Alice Chung-MacCoubrey, a bat biologist for the National Park Service, and an affiliate faculty at South Oregon University. ‘But it’s something we’re concerned about.’” Well, why not? Surely the human race is dastardly enough to target such helpless creatures. But wait — if there’s a paucity of scientific evidence supporting such a contention, what would suffice to act as evidence that humans are a danger to bats? This: “Reports indicate that COVID-19 has the ability to jump from humans to other species, including pet cats and a Malayan tiger at the Bronx Zoo. And because people can live in close proximity to bats — the flying mammals often live in attics and crawl spaces — common sense suggests it could jump to them too.” Ahhhh. Common sense. The Times notes that on Saturday evening, underneath the Yolo Bypass just west of Sacramento, “a half-dozen amateur photographers appeared by the bridge, hoping to get good shots of the swarm.” Then the Times laments, “None of the photographers seemed concerned about passing the virus to the bats.” LiveScience noted how dangerous bats can be in 2013: When it comes to carrying viruses that can jump to other species — so-called “zoonotic” viruses — bats may be in a class of their own. The flying mammals are reservoirs for more than 60 viruses that can infect humans, and host more viruses per species than even rodents do, new research shows. Discover Magazine wrote in February: Essentially, some of the same adaptations that let bats take to the skies also endowed them with a high-functioning immune system, according to the study, published earlier this month in the journal eLife. That powerful immune response thwarts invading viruses, driving them to adapt more rapidly than they would in other hosts. This tends to produce viruses far deadlier than the pathogens found in other creatures. So when one of them does leap to humans, the consequences are often alarming.

www.dailywire.com/news/experts-want-a-grocery-shopping-ban-pick-up-service-onlyExperts Want A Grocery Shopping Ban, Pick-Up Service Only Experts are advocating a total ban on indoor grocery shopping, instead suggesting grocery stores offer pre-ordered curbside pick-up for customers. The advocated transition is said by experts to be a necessary step to keep grocery store workers, who have been dubbed “essential,” safe from being infected with the novel coronavirus by potential shoppers. “Grocery stores are still flooded with customers, and experts say it’s time for large chains to go ‘dark’ to the public and convert to curbside pickup and home delivery for food and other essential goods,” a CNN report outlined this week. According to Marc Perrone, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers’ union, “careless customers” are “probably the biggest threat” to grocery store employees. “The union said 85% of its grocery store member workers reported that customers are not practicing social distancing in stores,” CNN noted. John Logan, professor and director of Labor and Employment Studies at San Francisco State University, is also on board with a no in-store shopping policy, too. “Anything that reduces the need for interaction with the public and allows for greater physical distancing will ultimately better protect grocery workers,” Logan said. “Shuttering stores and repurposing them for pickup and delivery only would be a positive step.” While the ban on in-store shopping may be well intentioned, the actual implementation would be largely impractical and come with many disadvantages, especially to low-income folks who won’t be able to afford the extra costs for the service, outlined experts on the opposing side of the ban. “We have no choice. They have to stay open. [America’s grocery] delivery system has not matured to the point where we can switch to an entirely remote system,” acknowledged Seth Harris, former Obama administration deputy secretary of labor. Some grocery companies and safety experts say the ban is “not feasible,” CNN reported. “Ordering systems for both pickup and delivery are completely overwhelmed by a crush of demand from customers in many areas of the country.” “Online pickup and delivery requires a much larger staff than grocery stores are currently equipped with. That could fill supermarkets to capacity with workers, defeating the purpose of removing the public from stores,” the report noted. “Paying that many workers would also cost grocers a lot more money, and many smaller chains don’t have the resources. They have already hired more workers during the pandemic to meet demand, and they’re raising pay for existing employees to convince them to stay on the job. Grocers operate on razor-thin margins, and for many, the recent increase in sales because of coronavirus has been wiped out by the increases they’ve needed to make in payroll.” “We understand that during this time customers would appreciate a delivery or pick up service,” said a Trader Joe’s representative, but the grocer’s “systems are not set up in a way that would allow us to be able to offer these services, and at the same time maintain our commitment to offering value to our customers.” Since there is currently no vaccination for the China-originated virus, COVID-19, the threat of contracting the disease could theoretically remain for years. It’s unclear how long pro-ban experts suggest the shift to pick up-only grocery services be implemented.

Remember: These are the SAME PEOPLE who do not want a Citizenship Question on the Census. www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/21/michigan-hires-tech-provider-to-democratic-campaigns-to-collect-medical-data-on-coronavirus-victims/Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) administration has hired a progressive campaign organization to collect private medical data on coronavirus patients. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said in a release: As part of efforts to continue expanding COVID-19 testing and contact tracing of potentially exposed Michiganders, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) again expanded its testing criteria to include all essential workers still reporting to work in person, whether they have symptoms or not, and launched a large-scale effort with more than 2,000 volunteers to expand contact tracing capacity. … Contact tracing is a proven public health strategy that involves identifying those affected by COVID-19 and interviewing friends, families and others near that person about their contacts and symptoms. MDHHS is contracting with Great Lakes Community Engagement, a firm that specializes in outreach campaigns to engage citizens, and Every Action VAN, a voter/individual contact platform used by non-profits, to provide software to help organize remote phone banking and track information and contacts. “Great Lakes Community Engagement” has no discernible presence on the Internet. A request from Breitbart News to MDHHS for more information on the seemingly obscure organization was not immediately answered. “Every Action VAN” is “trusted by” Planned Parenthood, SEIU, NARAL, and NextGen Climate, according to its website. Related to that company is NGP VAN, which bills itself as “the leading political technology provider to Democratic & progressive campaigns & organizations.” Livingston County Commissioner Wes Nakagiri was the first to discover the connection after he volunteered to perform contact tracing for the state. According to Nakagiri’s website: When performing contact tracing, volunteers are assigned to assist Public Health officials in reaching out to citizens who have come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. The volunteers make phone calls to convey important instructions to citizens who have a higher likelihood of contracting the coronavirus. Additionally, volunteers could ask personal questions such as: How is your health now? Do you have shortness of breath? Do you have abdominal pain? Can you tell me the names and ages of persons living in your household? What is your email address? The volunteers then log the results of these phone calls into a database ostensibly for use by medical professionals. Nakagiri said the training documents tell volunteers to enter confidential medical information gained from contact tracing “into the NGP VAN database.” “This enables NGP VAN to share this confidential information with both the MDHHS and Democrat candidates,” Nakagiri said. “Providing confidential information collected from contact tracing to Democrat candidates is an egregious violation of the public trust.”

Photos of extended middle fingers, the mayor dropping the Staten Island groundhog and news coverage of him going to the gym have all been texted to a special tip line that de Blasio announced Saturday, according to screenshots posted on Twitter. One user sent the message “We will fight this tyrannical overreach!” to the service and got an automated message that in part said, “Hello, and thank you for texting NYC311.” Social-distancing complaints surge in NYC after de Blasio’s call for tips “F–k you!” replied @morgan******, along with a meme showing Adolf Hitler and the words “TO THOSE TURNING IN YOUR NEIGHBORS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES — YOU DID THE REICH THING.”

Dr. Ezekial Emanuel is the father of the disastrous Obamacare legislation and the brother of former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Zeke was wrong about Obamacare. Two weeks ago Zeke was preaching that the government must continue the current coronavirus lockdown for 18 months. That means no church, sporting events, concerts or dinner at a restaurant… for 18 months. On Tuesday Dr. Emanuel pushed Americans to publicly shame those who does not wear a face mask in public! This guy should not be giving advice to the American public. He’s been wrong about most everything.

freebeacon.com/coronavirus/michigan-governor-whitmer-awards-coronavirus-contract-to-dem-consulting-firm/Michigan Democratic governor Gretchen Whitmer has handed over control of the state’s new contact-tracing operation to one of her own campaign vendors and one of the left’s biggest technology firms. The move has sparked concern that she is using the coronavirus to strengthen the Democratic Party’s data operation, potentially at the expense of public health. The Whitmer administration announced Monday that it had awarded a contract for contact tracing in the state to Every Action VAN, an arm of the Democratic data behemoth NGP VAN. The liberal firm works with all of the major Democratic campaign committees and hundreds of labor unions across the country, according to its website, and will “help organize remote phone banking and track information and contacts” for Michigan, a state press release said. The group is run by Stuart Trevelyan, a longtime Democratic campaign operative who worked in the Clinton White House and is currently assisting presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s campaign with voter outreach and fundraising, according to Federal Election Commission reports. Whitmer’s own gubernatorial campaign paid NGP VAN nearly $5,000 in 2019, according to state campaign finance records. Every Action is a branch of the firm that works with nonprofit organizations. States across the country have begun contact tracing operations in the hope that wide-scale interviews will unlock crucial information and prevent additional infections. But Whitmer appears to be the first governor to employ a group that typically focuses on politics to help with the task.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/coronavirus-who-warns-people-need-21899534The World Health Organization has warned that a “new way of living” will be needed until a coronavirus vaccine is ready. Takeshi Kasai, the WHO’s regional director for the Western Pacific, has said that lifting lockdown measures too quickly will leave countries vulnerable to new surges of infections. The body has urged governments to lift social distancing measures gradually, to keep the deadly bug in check. Speaking at an online press conference, Dr Kasai added that no country is safe from a potentially overwhelming outbreak if Covid-19 is still circulating. As a result, ordinary people’s lives and health systems will both need to adapt because of the global pandemic.

The Internet is abuzz with the story that Virginia governor Ralph Northam is spending his weekends at his beach house in North Carolina. This is at the same time he put the commonwealth Virginia on lock down. Northam is famous for a posing in KKK-blackface in his college yearbook. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a stay at home order for Virginians where only necessary travel was allowed. Dare County in North Carolina is under a “residents only” ban where only residents who have proof of North Carolinian residence are being admitted onto the Outer Banks and Roanoke Island. Ralph Northam is the Governor of Virginia. He and his family are not North Carolina residents. Numerous residents of Dare County are reporting that Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is illegally flying into First Flight Airport at the Wright Memorial Airport in Kill Devil Hills on a private airplane, where he then has drivers meet himself and his family to go to their vacation home in the Pirates Cove neighborhood of Manteo.
The significance of this is that in doing this, not only is Governor Northam violating the North Carolina and the Dare County order to that Dare County is residents only, but Northam is violating his own stay at home order for Virginians. Northam is abandoning his duties in Richmond during a time of emergency so that he can travel unnecessarily to spend his time in leisure at his families vacation home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Virginians like myself are threatened with arrest for violating the Governor’s orders, but apparently those strict orders that are supposedly to protect us, do not apply to Governor Northam and his family. While Virginians are locked down in their homes, many are not allowed to work, and none are allowed to travel out of leisure, Governor Northam and his family are doing exactly what he has used his authority to tell Virginians that they cannot do.
I have spoke with numerous people in Dare County who have seen or heard that Northam is going to and from his vacation home on a regular basis.
Here is a photo of Northam’s vacation home at with vehicles present yesterday (Monday April 20), where Northam is supposedly inside with his family.

www.dailywire.com/news/don-lemon-attacks-threatening-lockdown-protesters-in-on-air-rant-slapping-healthcare-workers-because-they-want-haircuts-and-golfDon Lemon Attacks ‘Threatening’ Lockdown Protesters In On-Air Rant: ‘Slapping’ Healthcare Workers Because They Want ‘Haircuts’ And ‘Golf’ As more than 22 million Americans file for unemployment, food banks across the nation fill up, and small businesses face permanent closure, CNN host Don Lemon sought to mock and attack “gun holding,” “threatening” lockdown protesters, whom he accused of “complaining” because they “want a haircut” and “want to go play golf.” “It makes me so angry because every night when I leave this studio and when I come in, there’s an army of people through New York City- an army of immigrants and people of color and poor people who are keeping this city running,” Lemon started into his rant as fellow CNN Chris Cuomo signed off, according to Fox News. “They are disinfecting offices, they are cleaning people, they are changing bedpans, and they are working… And those people are out there complaining that they don’t have haircuts? Who the hell do you think you are?” “You’re slapping the face of the people – the health care workers who put their lives on the line everyday because you want a haircut, you want to go play golf- of course you’re concerned about your business,” Lemon continued. “Tell the president that!” “And you’re out there with guns?” he sneered. “With weapons strapped to your chest, saying you’re fighting against the people trying to tell you to stay at home, trying to save your lives? You’re upset with those people? In the meantime, there are people who are keeping your cities going, keeping your loved ones alive, and you want to get a haircut?” “Who the hell do you think you are?” the host said angrily. “What is wrong with people? I don’t understand what is wrong with people!” “And if you’re so upset about it,” said Lemon, “then you should blame the president. Because he’s the one who’s supposed to help your small businesses. I understand that you’re hurting, I understand that people are hurting, yes, a lot of people are hurting, but there are people who are frontline workers who have to get out there.” Predictably ramping up the nonexistent racial element of the lockdown protests, Lemon chastised the “hypocritical” protesters for supposedly not supporting former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick when he took a knee during the playing of the national anthem before NFL games to protest American’s supposed ubiquitous racism and rife anti-black cop brutality. “You have the right to protest. You have the right to protest, everyone does. Fine, I’m sure I will be criticized for this. And guess what, you have the right to criticize me,” the CNN host said, “but I don’t want to hear from those people who are out there protesting with guns, right? And that is threatening, a threatening look for people… don’t criticize people who are taking a knee at a ballgame.” “And people are saying ‘I don’t want people protesting at a ballgame’ when there are people protesting- don’t give me that when you’re out there protesting with guns and saying ‘I want to get back to work! I want my liberty!’ When then you should be out there standing up for people who are- I want to hear the same argument and go out there and help people protesting their government as well for their treatment from their government as well,” he continued. “Don’t be a hypocrite, stand up for those people as well.” “I’m so mad today,” Lemon ended his rant. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo repeatedly claimed his state needed 30,000 ventilators to handle all the cases of COVID-19. Turns out he didn’t — not even close. And the Democrat also said hospitals across the state were going to be overrun with critically ill patients, so he persuaded the federal government to pitch in millions to turn the massive Javits Center into a field hospital and rush to overhaul a U.S. Navy hospital ship, the USNS Comfort, outfitted with 500 beds to handle the overflow from packed hospitals. Turns out Cuomo didn’t need either of those. “The president sent up a Navy ship, the Comfort. A hospital ship which was very good to have if we need overflow,” Cuomo said Tuesday on MSNBC. “It did give us comfort, but we don’t need it anymore. If they need to deploy it somewhere else, they should take it.” In his daily White House briefing on Tuesday, President Trump said the ship will return to its home base in Virginia. “We will be bringing the ship back at the earliest time and we’ll get it ready for its next mission, which will, I’m sure it will be a very important one also,” the president said. The ship was in Norfolk, Va., being overhauled when the Navy was called on to rush the work in order to deploy the ship quickly. In late March, Trump traveled to the Navy port in Virginia to bid bon voyage to the ship “stocked up” with supplies and medical personnel, calling it a “70,000-ton message of hope and solidarity.” The ship has 12 operating rooms, a medical laboratory, a pharmacy, a helicopter deck and more, Trump said. But just days ago, the hospital ship held “fewer than 80 patients in New York City, leaving nearly 90% of its available space unused after its emergency dispatch to the U.S. epicenter of the coronavirus crisis,” CNBC reported. www.cnbc.com/2020/04/17/nearly-90percent-of-the-us-navy-hospital-ship-in-new-york-is-empty-amid-coronavirus-fight.htmlShortly after arriving from its home port in Norfolk, Virginia, the military’s floating lifesaver was adjusted to receive coronavirus patients, halving its 1,000-bed capacity. As of Friday, 71 of the USNS Comfort’s 500 beds were occupied.Meanwhile, the Javits Center has been equally little used. The massive center was outfitted with medical equipment and 2,500 beds. “But much to the frustration of healthcare workers, since that announcement, Javits has taken in nowhere near its capacity. As of April 7, the convention center had admitted only 66 patients. This was due in large part to the strict admission requirements. At first, a patient could only be transferred to Javits if they were convalescing, or in the recovery period. The fear was that Javits didn’t have the ICU beds, operating rooms, or equipment necessary to handle patients who might relapse or need surgery because of an underlying condition,” Business Insider reported. www.businessinsider.com/why-nycs-largest-emergency-hospital-javits-center-pretty-much-empty-2020-4By April 20, Javitz had treated only 1,000 patients. Few patients ended up being sent there because of overly strict admission criteria. “It’s insufferable that these guys are not taking our patients, because we need places to put these people,” a doctor at Metropolitan Hospital Center told The New York Post of the lingering vacancies at Javits. nypost.com/2020/04/10/usns-comfort-javits-center-still-largely-empty-of-nyc-coronavirus-patients/

And back to Russia. Talk about beating a failed dead horse into the ground...... dailycaller.com/2020/04/22/nancy-pelosi-joe-scarborough-vladimir-putin-influence-donald-trump/Nancy Pelosi Asks Joe Scarborough: ‘What Does Vladimir Putin Have On President Trump?’ House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asked Wednesday what Russian President Vladimir Putin might “have on President [Donald] Trump” for Trump to once side with Putin over the U.S. intelligence community. Pelosi raised the conspiracy theory when responding to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough’s reference to the release of a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence report. The document says the intelligence community was correct in its assessment that Russia meddled in the 2016 United States federal election to support Trump, a contention that Trump disputed. “Well, I’m not surprised. As a member of the [intelligence group] Gang of Eight, I watched this whole investigation proceed and the rest,” Pelosi told Scarborough on “Morning Joe.” “It leads you to the question: what does Vladimir Putin have on President Trump personally, politically, financially, in any way, that he would choose Putin’s words, what Putin said over the intelligence community?” Scarborough did not challenge Pelosi’s suggestion. Pelosi also suggested that any assertions that Ukraine participated in election interference was an attempt to “divert any culpability away from the Russians. Something is very wrong there,” she said. (RELATED: Ex-CIA Director John Brennan Accuses Trump Of Treason Following Putin Summit) “This is shameful and it really gives lie to what the president has said. We must start … to insist on the truth with the president.” At their July 2018 Helsinki summit, both Trump and Putin fielded questions from reporters. Trump was asked about allegations that Russia had interfered in the previous presidential election on his behalf and suggested they had not. Democratic California Rep. Pelosi suggested that “the facts” will always vindicate the intelligence community: “it cannot be denied no matter what the president says.” (RELATED: Trump Smiles, Warns Putin Of Interfering In Upcoming Election) But Pelosi insisted Russian interference was not just a thing of the past. “It us to the next step. [The intelligence community has] told us 24/7 the Russians are still at work trying to undermine our election.” U.S. President Donald Trump (L) and Russian President Vladimir Putin shake hands during a joint press conference after their summit on July 16, 2018 in Helsinki, Finland. Chris McGrath/Getty Images Chris McGrath/Getty Images The Speaker suggested that the next coronavirus stimulus bill contain “an important chunk of money … that will enable us to protect the integrity of our elections as well as to enable the American people to vote by mail especially at this time of a health danger in going to the polls.” The notion that Putin controls Trump is a common theme from his opponents. MSNBC analyst Claire McCaskill said in January that Putin “owns Donald Trump.” California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters has repeatedly said that the American president is indebted to Russia for his election victory and is therefore “Putin’s puppet,” even though she has no proof of the Russia collusion hoax.

www.dailywire.com/news/china-is-not-happy-about-missouris-vexatious-litigation-blaming-communists-for-virusChina Is Not Happy About Missouri’s ‘Vexatious Litigation’ Blaming Communists For Virus A Chinese official slammed Missouri for filing a lawsuit against China and its leaders over the coronavirus pandemic. Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang denied allegations that China’s response to the virus caused the disaster in a press conference on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. “This so-called lawsuit is very absurd and has no factual and legal basis at all,” Geng said. The diplomat asserted that China had handled the outbreak in an “open, transparent, and responsible manner” and said that the U.S. should “dismiss such vexatious litigation.” Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced on Tuesday that the state was suing China, the Chinese Communist Party, and other Chinese officials and institutions for their “sinister campaign of malfeasance and deception” that resulted in the pandemic. “In Missouri, the impact of the virus is very real — thousands have been infected and many have died, families have been separated from dying loved ones, small businesses are shuttering their doors, and those living paycheck to paycheck are struggling to put food on their table,” Schmitt said. Last week, unemployment claims rose to nearly 22 million in the past month since states began issuing strict stay-at-home orders to combat the spread of the virus. The number of claims is a proxy for the number of jobs lost or furloughed because of the pandemic, though the real number is likely much higher as state governments struggle to process the torrent of claims being filed as many slip through the cracks. Though Missouri Gov. Mike Parson did not issue a stay-at-home order until April 6, workers in his state began feeling effects of the coronavirus and social distancing measures much earlier. From March 15 to April 11, nearly 340,000 workers in Missouri filed for unemployment, about a 2,700% increase over the same time period up to March 14. Missouri has reported nearly 6,000 total cases of the coronavirus and 220 deaths, avoiding the brunt of the pathogen’s impact being felt in places such as New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. “The Chinese government lied to the world about the danger and contagious nature of COVID-19, silenced whistleblowers, and did little to stop the spread of the disease. They must be held accountable for their actions,” Schmitt said. Individual states are typically prevented from suing foreign nations by U.S. law. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) have introduced a bill into Congress that would exempt states suing over damage caused by the virus, however. “We need to hold the Chinese government accountable for their malicious lies and coverup that allowed the coronavirus to spread across the world,” Crenshaw said in a statement. “The communist regime expelled journalists, silenced whistleblowers, and withheld vital information that delayed the global response to the pandemic. Simply put: their actions cost American lives and livelihoods. This bill will help ensure China’s actions are not without consequences.”

www.dailywire.com/news/after-huge-protest-washington-governor-says-he-may-soon-open-states-economyAfter Huge Protest, Washington Governor Says He May Soon Open State’s Economy After witnessing roughly 2,500 people protesting on Sunday in Olympia against his “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, on Tuesday night, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced his plan for reopening the economy of the state, acknowledging that the current data on the coronavirus in Washington, the first state which was bludgeoned by the disease, is starting to look more optimistic. In his public address, Inslee did not set a date for scaling down his stay-at-home order, which is set to expire on May 4. Inslee said that if the situation keeps improving and the number of coronavirus cases keep dropping, he would encourage elective surgeries as well as outdoor recreation. Inslee’s plan includes a huge amount of testing and contact tracing; he expects 1,500 people conducting contact tracing by the second week of May. Inslee posited that between 20-30,000 tests would need to be performed daily to reopen the economy, but currently the state hasn’t even reached 4,000 daily tests. The Seattle Times reported that Inslee’s office “has agreed upon a plan with the construction industry and labor unions,” that would permit limited return to construction” as long as safety measures are taken. On Monday, the three Franklin County Commissioners, all Republicans, voted to ignore Inslee’s stay-home order and open the county, as the Tri-City Herald reported. Commissioner Brad Peck stated, “As far as I’m concerned the county is open, and I’d encourage people within the law and within the parameters of their own safety — we’re adults, we can make decisions — to behave accordingly. That’s what I’m doing.” David Postman, Inslee’s chief of staff, responded by calling the decision “a wrong-headed approach” for which they could be sued, adding that the commissioners were “putting businesses in jeopardy” and putting “citizens’ health in jeopardy.” He added, “Local governments can be stricter than the state if they choose; they can’t be looser. The law doesn’t allow it. The order is clearly rooted in statute and constitutional authority, and a county governing body does not have the right, the legal authority in any way, to take a vote and deem something unconstitutional. That’s a role for the courts.” On April 2, Inslee announced a month-long extension of his “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” emergency order, stating, “Epidemiological modeling from the University of Washington predicts we will have at least 1,400 deaths this year. We are yet to see the full toll of this virus in our state and the modeling we’ve seen could be much worse if we don’t continue what we’re doing to slow the spread.” He continued, “We have taken dozens of steps under my emergency powers to help people in this time – including moratoriums on evictions, mortgage forbearance, utility ratepayer assistance, unemployment extensions, flexibility on tax payments and cash assistance to families. We will do more.” The same day, as Inslee’s website noted, “Inslee announced a delay in the implementation of new state building codes from July 1 to Nov. 1 to provide adequate time for training and outreach that was interrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak.”

Winslow, Arizona police recently released body camera footage of the arrest of a hardened criminal business owner.
“We don’t want you to feel like we’re harassing you.” – Winslow police.
“If you’re open for business we have that right.” – Winslow police.
Arizona, a state of 7 million, has had 208 coronavirus deaths this year.
Gov. Doug Ducey had declared a public health emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak in March. Later that month, he issued a stay-at-home order, prohibiting any business not deemed essential from conducting in-person business.
But several people complained to the Winslow mayor when Authentic Indian Store, which primarily sold Native American jewelry, stayed open well into April, police said.
The body camera video shows police contacting the owner, 71-year-old Daniel J. Mazon, on April 11.
As soon as the officers walk in, Mazon starts recording them with his cell phone. When officers tell him he can’t stay open, Mazon argues that he is in compliance, saying he changed his license name to “Indian Department Store.”
He told officers he was now selling hay, paper towels, water and food, which officers noted were just candy bars.
“I get one or two people a day – corona bologna,” Mazon says as an officer looks at his store license.
Police said Mazon had been warned twice about keeping his store open, once by the Winslow mayor and once again by police, in the days before this incident. The officer says in the body camera video that these warnings came after the store license was issued on March 24.
Police asked Mazon for his driver’s license, but he refused.
“You don’t need my driver’s license. I’m not driving,” Mazon responds in the video.
Police then handcuff and detain him for failing to identify himself.
Lawsuit incoming.......

dailycaller.com/2020/04/22/vernon-jones-resignation-democrat-donald-trump-endorsement-georgia/Democrat Who Endorsed Trump Says He’s Stepping Down After Being ‘Harassed’ By Democratic Party Democratic Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones announced that he is stepping down from office, citing attacks and harassment from his party following his endorsement of President Donald Trump for re-election. Jones shocked the Georgia political establishment when he became the first state-elected Democrat to endorse Trump earlier in April. While the move drew quick recognition and applause from the White House, Democratic leaders closer to home immediately disavowed him, and pledged to help unseat him from office. The blowback from his party is too much, and he is stepping down from his post as the representative for Georgia’s 91st House District, Jones said. “I’m sick and tired of me and my family being attacked and harassed by the Democrat Party for putting my country before my party,” Jones said in a statement released Wednesday, and first obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. All of these issues, he said, drew him toward Trump’s campaign. Jones represents the 91st House District in the Georgia General Assembly — a majority-minority district in the suburbs south of Atlanta that is overwhelmingly Democratic. Before entering the Georgia House of Representatives, Jones served as the CEO of DeKalb County, and served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. The renegade Democrat’s endorsement was not well received by his colleagues. “Vernon Jones is an embarrassment to the Democratic Party and does not stand for our values,” Georgia Democratic Party Chairwoman Nikema Williams said in a prepared statement. “He chose to stand with the racist president who has made an all-out assault on black Americans … during the most important election of our lifetimes.” (RELATED: CBS’s Gayle King Tells Stacey Abrams She’s ‘Extremely Qualified’ To Be Vice President) Immediately after Jones’s endorsement, Fair Fight — a group launched by failed gubernatorial candidate and romance novelist Stacey Abrams — announced it would support Jones’s Democratic primary challenger, Rhonda Taylor. Jones’s announcement on Wednesday suggested that it is Trump’s likely opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, who has enacted racist policies. “I endorsed the White guy (Donald J. Trump) that let Blacks out of jail, and they endorsed the White guy (Joe Biden) that put Blacks in jail,” he said. While the state representative said he is stepping down from office, he is not leaving the Democratic Party, noting that he wishes to remain in order to “hold them accountable to how they are treating black people (and) root out the bigotry.” “I will remain woke and vigilant in educating and fighting for my people,” Jones said.
