Again, this man would make a great AG/FBI Director,(granted, I love the job Barr is doing currently): www.nationalreview.com/2019/07/no-one-really-wants-to-send-her-back/No One Really Wants to ‘Send Her Back’ By ANDREW C. MCCARTHY July 20, 2019 6:30 AM ......... Don’t exaggerate the significance of raucous chants. The president can be very entertaining, but I don’t pay much attention to political rallies, including his famously raucous ones. For the faithful, the rallies are fun spectacles, like rock concerts or ball games. I don’t think they can be taken too seriously, except perhaps as a gauge of the president’s support. Not in lieu of polls, but in conjunction. And with healthy skepticism: The polls have a history of undercounting Trump supporters, but the ardor of the Trump base on display at the rallies should not be confounded with national enthusiasm for the Trump presidency — though it may signal more openness to it, especially in light of the increasingly radical alternative. Which brings us to Wednesday night’s Trump rally in Greenville, N.C., and the ginned-up crowd of Trump fans chanting “Send her back!” That was in reference to Ilhan Omar, who is a naturalized American from Somalia, a radical at the crowded junction between Islamists and leftists, and a member of Congress from Minnesota’s fifth district — the deep-blue Twin Cities area that teems with Millennials and Somali immigrants. All good populist demagoguery needs a villain. President Trump hardly has the market cornered on this. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton studied Alinskyite community organizing. The organizer, a self-styled renegade against The Establishment, is instructed to avoid abstractions when picking an opposition target. You’ve got to make it personal, to polarize the adversary in stark terms. Trump’s persona is to hit back harder than he is hit. No surprise, then, that he is a practitioner of this demagogic art, since he is also the Left’s No. 1 target. Most Republican villains the Left selects (the Bushes, Mitt Romney . . .) respond by trying to prove they’re not really villains. This is a futile strategy. The demagogues making the accusation already know it’s not true. They do it because it always works. Or at least it used to. It’s different with the president, who is from the Leo Durocher School: “I come to play. I come to beat you. I come to kill you!” Trump vexes the Left because he revels in the mud wrestle. Sure, he craves admiration, but he wants to win more, and he doesn’t in the slightest mind winning ugly. In that the Left must see a lot of itself, but that doesn’t mean it has figured out an effective response.NOW WATCH: ''Send Her Back' Chanted at Trump Rally' 'Send Her Back' Chanted at Trump Rally At the 2016 rallies it was “Lock her up!” because Mrs. Clinton was the obvious target. To be sure, there is no shortage of Clinton antagonists who would like to see her in the dock. But that wasn’t what the chant was about. The point was the political narrative: Hit the villain where she is most vulnerable — on corruption, where the Left cannot defend her. Now, for the moment (i.e., while Trump’s 2020 opponent has yet to be chosen), the villain is the “Squad,” comprising Representative Omar and three other backbench Democratic congresswomen. It is a different dynamic from 2016. Clinton, a Washington overlord, was withered by Trump’s onslaught. For the Squad, the combat is symbiotic. There is as much personal political advantage for the radical upstarts in being perceived as the president’s chief antagonists as for the president in branding them as such. The loser in the triangulized equation is the Democratic party of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. That, for what it’s worth, is why I can’t see Biden, another relic, emerging as the nominee. Of the Squad members, Omar is the most vulnerable. She’d like you to believe the resentment of her is racist, misogynist, nativist, and Islamophobic: She’s a black African woman, an immigrant, and a Muslim. Interestingly, though, my friend Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a black African woman, an immigrant, and a former Muslim (who nonetheless advocates Islamic reform), is one of the most revered figures on the political right. (Incidentally, Ayaan had some excellent advice for Representative Omar this week, would that she’d take it.) Race and womanhood have nothing to do with Omar’s problems. Women are a majority of the population and, for years, they have been voting at higher rates than men. African-American women, such as Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, are among the most popular figures not only on the political left but in the nation. As for Islam, this issue is not that Omar is merely a Muslim. It is that she is an Islamist fellow traveler. Despite Washington’s best efforts, Americans grasp the difference between (a) Islam as a personal religious affiliation and (b) sharia supremacism as an anti-Western political ideology. They don’t see Omar as simply a Muslim. They see someone who is hard-wired to blame the United States for jihadist terrorism. They see someone who is steeped in anti-Semitism, and indistinguishable from her Muslim Brotherhood friends in hostility to Israel’s existence. Finally, unlike her Squad mates, Omar has potential legal problems. There are grounds to believe she may have committed marriage fraud with her brother from 2009 through 2017. And this is no gut-wrenching story about a family struggling to shield children from the horrors of war in their native land: At the time of the marriage, Omar was a 26-year-old American citizen who had been in the U.S. for 17 years; the man alleged to be her brother was a young adult living in London, not Mogadishu. In 2002, Omar married Ahmed Hirsi, her true and current husband. It was a Muslim wedding ceremony, not a formal legal marriage; but it was quite real: They have three children, and there are indications that they continued to live together even after 2008, when Omar says she and Hirsi divorced in accordance with Islamic law. In 2009, Omar formally married a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi — “formally” in the sense that a state marriage license was issued. There is considerable evidence that Elmi is Omar’s brother. For example, the Ahmed Nur Said Elmi whom Omar married shares a birthday with a man by the same name who attended a Minnesota high school in 2003. At the time, he lived with a man named Nur Said Elmi Mohamed, whom both Elmi and Omar have identified as their father. There are also indications that Omar, Hirsi, and Elmi all lived together for a time. Omar has summarily dismissed the claim that she married her brother as “absurd and offensive,” but she otherwise refuses to address it and has frantically purged old social-media posts and other documentation. Meanwhile, she filed joint tax returns with Hirsi while she was formally married to Elmi. In 2017, she formally divorced Elmi; subsequently, she formally married Hirsi. At this point, nothing has been proved. If there was a sham marriage for immigration purposes, however, that would be just one of many issues. Potentially, there would also be tax fraud, commercial fraud, and various state and federal false statements to sort out. Until recently, Omar was merely a Minnesota sensation. The media-Democrat complex has helped her stonewall the investigative diligence of journalists David Steinberg, Preya Samsundar, and Scott Johnson. (See Scott’s Power Line post and the links it includes.) Now, however, the Squad is a national hit — so much so that Omar figures she’s ready to go toe-to-toe with Trump. The president, in his inimitable way, responded by going right for the jugular: Gee, there’s “a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it. I hear she was married to her brother . . .” Welcome to the show, Congresswoman. The president thrives on this stuff. His supporters may chant send her back! He’s happy to have her front and center in Washington. Of course, there has been no shortage of outrage about the chanting, which was so deplorable, as it were, that Trump himself disavowed it the next day — even if he didn’t seem too upset while it was happening. Sorry to say, I can’t get too whipped up about it. Yes, Representative Omar is a naturalized American. As a matter of law, she’s just as much an American citizen as any one of us born in this country. The suggestion that the government should send her back to her native Somalia — because she is “the Other,” because she has the temerity to criticize the president — is obscene. I get all that. But . . . are we really taking this seriously? In a column earlier this week, I observed that the president’s tweets suggesting that Squad members should go back home to their native countries were not racist; but they were factually ignorant, politically dumb, and all in all beneath the presidency. After all, three of the Squad are native Americans; the fourth, Omar, is a naturalized American who left Somalia when she was six years old and has been here since she was ten. America is the only home the four congresswomen have even known. Yet, because they habitually run America down, the president could not resist the urge to rail that, if they really believed it was so bad, they should leave of their own volition. Offensive outburst? Yes . . . but he never suggested that the government could or should send them away. No one believes that. “If it were up to me, I would put in jail every sandal-wearing, scruffy-beard weirdo who burns the American flag.” I don’t know if you could quite fit that into a rally chant, but it is a memorable bit of reactionary sentiment from Justice Antonin Scalia. Shortly before he died, the great jurist was explaining why he voted against the criminalization of flag-burning (in the Supreme Court’s controversial 1989 ruling in Texas v. Johnson). With characteristic pith, he was illustrating something that ought to be patent: We often express passionately our most visceral feelings; but we do not act on these outbursts in actually lived life. When we get down to brass tacks, principles, laws, and norms are honored. We have those guardrails precisely because we’re human, prone to error and excess, prone to let our id out for a night at the rally hall. We cannot help what we think in a gut sense, and liberty means being free to voice those thoughts, even when good judgment would counsel against it. But when we get back to reality, common sense and law take over. 227 We might say “Kill the umpire,” but we don’t actually want the umpire killed. We shouldn’t need to explain that because everyone understands it. The exercise of our right to scream “Kill the umpire” does not create a clear and present danger to umpires. For 60 years I’ve heard crowds say nutty things at carnival-type venues; on the other hand, I’ve also prosecuted people for inciting terrorist attacks against the United States. There is a palpable difference between provocative expression and incitement to violence, one that is not hard for sensible people to discern, even if great legal minds have struggled to articulate it precisely. You want to condemn rambunctious chants? Knock yourself out. But let’s not exaggerate their significance. No one is going to make Ilhan Omar stop spouting her bile as long as she refrains from urging violence. We can probably also survive a little “send her back!” without the Republic’s crumbling. www.wsj.com/articles/can-ilhan-omar-overcome-her-prejudice-11562970265Can Ilhan Omar Overcome Her Prejudice? I was born in Somalia and grew up amid pervasive Muslim anti-Semitism. Hate is hard to unlearn without coming to terms with how you learned it. By Ayaan Hirsi Ali July 12, 2019 6:24 pm ET I once opened a speech by confessing to a crowd of Jews that I used to hate them. It was 2006 and I was a young native of Somalia who’d been elected to the Dutch Parliament. The American Jewish Committee was giving me its Moral Courage Award. I felt honored and humbled, but a little dishonest if I didn’t own up to my anti-Semitic past. So I told them how I’d learned to blame the Jews for everything........

alphanewsmn.com/ilhan-omar-arrested-in-2013-for-trespassing-booked-at-hennepin-county-jail/State Rep. Ilhan Omar was arrested in 2013 for trespassing and booked at Hennepin County Jail “to prevent further criminal conduct,” according to a newly uncovered police report. The incident took place on January 18, 2013 following an event at the Minneapolis Convention Center featuring former Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The Somali president was set to stay the night at the Hotel Ivy, causing large groups of Somalis to follow the presidential convoy to the hotel, including Omar. According to the police report, hotel staff requested police assistance in clearing the lobby, saying that anyone without a hotel room key was not welcome on the premises and needed to leave immediately. The officer handling the incident said the majority of people who were asked to leave were compliant. However, Omar, when approached, was “argumentative” and refused to leave. “As she stood her ground and refused to leave I took hold of her left elbow to escort her from the lobby. Omar then pulled away from me stating, ‘Don’t put your hands on me!’ Others in her group complied and began walking toward the front entry/exit door as I ordered and I managed to coax Omar out with them,” the police report reads. Ten minutes after the original encounter, the officer reports finding Omar seated in a different area of the lobby. According to the officer’s account, Omar “remained defiant” as he informed her that she would be arrested for trespassing if she didn’t leave. Since she refused to comply with orders, the officer arrested Omar. The officer reached for Omar’s left arm to get her to stand so she could be handcuffed, but she pulled away. The officer handcuffed her while she stayed seated in the hotel lobby chair.

thehill.com/homenews/administration/454134-trump-attacks-the-squad-as-racist-group-of-troublemakers"The women have said horrible things about our country and the people of our country," Trump told reporters in a clip reported by The Hill. "Nobody should be able to do that — and if they want to do that, that's up to them, but I can't imagine that they're going to do very well at the polls. And I say this: If the Democrats want to embrace people that hate our country, people that are so far left that no one's ever seen anything like it, if they want to embrace people that are so anti-Semitic and anti-Israel — if they want to do that, that's up to them, but I don't have to do that. I think what they say and what they've said is a disgrace to them, to the Democrats, and, frankly, to our country." And he wasn't done. "The things they've said about our country are terrible," he told reporters in another clip. "What they've said about Israel are just terrible. I don't know, I can't say for sure, but certainly a lot of people say they hate our country."

www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/07/22/aoc-u-s-must-have-lifelong-commitment-to-migrant-children-healthcare-services-for-life/Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said over the weekend that the United States government must have a “lifelong commitment” to illegal immigrant migrants separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border and provide “mental healthcare services” to them “for the rest of their lives.” Speaking at a town hall event in Queens, New York, Ocasio-Cortez, who has referred to migrant detention centers as “concentration camps,” reportedly argued that the U.S. government must make a “lifelong commitment” to migrant children because “even if you separate a kid from their parents for two days, you have already created life-long lasting trauma.” “I believe we have responsibility to provide mental healthcare services to those children for the rest of their lives,” Ocasio-Cortez said, according to a Guardian report. “And there are children who have been separated that we have reunified, and it took about a year to reunify some of these kids with their parents. Lifelong trauma for which we, the United States, are responsible… And it chills me to my core to think about 20 years from now, when these kids grow up, the story that they will have about America.” The freshman Democrat and “Squad” member also reportedly called for a 9/11-style commission to investigate the family separations, pointing out that the 9/11 commission was “charged with the investigating and making sure they dug out every nook and cranny of what happened and how it happened in our system.” “And I think that that kind of study is what’s going to be required in order to reunite as many children with their parents as possible. That’s the work that we have to do,” she reportedly added.

www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/07/22/flashback-rashida-tlaib-im-more-palestinian-in-the-halls-of-congress-than-i-am-anywhere-in-the-world/Both before and after she was elected to Congress, Democrat Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib has had no trouble finding herself at the center of immense controversy. Earlier this year, while giving a speech at Marygrove College in Detroit, Tlaib claimed she is “more Palestinian in the halls of Congress than I am anywhere in the country, in the world.” “Honestly I’ve never felt more Palestinian than I ever felt in Congress,” Tlaib said as she addressed the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights. Tlaib added: Even in Palestine when I’m visiting my grandmother, I’m more Amrikiin, American, to the Palestinians. But I’m more Palestinian in the halls of Congress than I am anywhere in the country, in the world. And that just tells you just the fact that they weren’t ready for us. They really weren’t. Last August, after her primary win in Michigan, Tlaib spoke with HuffPost and asserted she was going to “humanize” and “be a voice for” Palestinians. She also stated her West Bank roots are “still very strong.” HuffPost reported: “I’m going to be a voice for them,” Tlaib said, lamenting the “walls and fences” that separate Palestinians and Israelis, “two people who have so much more in common.” “I look forward to being able to humanize so many of them that have felt ‘less than’ for so long,” she added. After Tlaib’s success in the primary last August, she was praised by Mohammed Tlaib, a distant relative and the former mayor of her ancestral village named Beit Our al-Foqa. “It’s a great honor for this small town. It’s a great honor for the Palestinian people to have Rashida in the Congress,” former village Mayor Tlaib stated. “For sure she will serve Palestine, for sure she will serve the interests of her nation. She is deeply rooted here.” As reported Sunday by Breitbart News Washington Political Editor Matthew Boyle, “A video of then-former-State Rep. Rashida Tlaib being forcibly ejected from a speech then-candidate now-President Donald Trump gave to the Detroit Economic Club has resurfaced in the wake of President Trump’s feud with the “Squad,” of which she is a leading member.” During a speech at a One Fair Wage event on Sunday, Tlaib called for a $20 minimum wage, a split from her progressive colleaques who frequently demand $15 per hour. It should be $20 an hour, $18 to $20 at this point,” Tlaib said in reference to the minimum wage.

www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-23/ethics-complaint-filed-against-rep-ilhan-omar-accused-immigration-tax-and-studentFollowing an extensive three-year investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar by investigative journalist David Steinberg, a House ethics complaint has been filed by Judicial Watch calling for a probe into potential crimes committed by Omar and her brother. According to the complaint, "Substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have committed the following crimes in violation of both federal law and Minnesota state law: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud." House of Representatives must urgently investigate and resolve the serious allegations of wrongdoing by Rep. Omar," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. "We encourage Americans to share their views on Rep. Omar’s apparent misconduct with their congressmen." Laid out in the complaint, as compiled in Steinberg's research: Rep. Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, a citizen of the United States, married her biological brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a citizen of the United Kingdom, in 2009, presumably as part of an immigration fraud scheme. The couple legally divorced in 2017. In the course of that divorce, Ms. Omar submitted an “Application for an Order for Service by Alternate Means” to the State of Minnesota on August 2, 2017 and claimed, among other things, that she had had no contact with Ahmed Nur Said Elmi after June 2011. She also claimed that she did know where to find him. The evidence developed by Mr. Steinberg and his colleagues demonstrates with a high degree of certainty that Ms. Omar not only had contact with Mr. Elmi, but actually met up with him in London in 2015, which is supported by photographic evidence. Ms. Omar signed the “Application for an Order for Service by Alternate Means” under penalty of perjury. The very document that Ilham Omar signed on August 2, 2017 bears the following notation directly above her signature: “I declare under penalty of perjury that everything I have stated in this document is true and correct. Minn. Stat. § 358.116.” Of particular importance are archived photographs taken during a widely reported trip by Ilhan Omar to London in 2015, posted to her own Instagram account under her nickname “hameey”, in which she poses with her husband/presumed brother, Ahmed Elmi. These photographs from 2015 are documentary evidence that in fact she met up with Mr. Elmi after June 2011 and before the date she signed the divorce document in August 2017, thereby calling into question the veracity of her claim that she had not seen Mr. Elmi since June 2011. Rep. Omar’s potential crimes far exceed perjurious statements made in a Minnesota court filing. Rep. Omar’s conduct may include immigration fraud. It appears that Rep. Omar married her brother in order to assist his emigration to the United Stated from the United Kingdom. The same immigration fraud scheme may have aided Mr. Elmi in obtaining federally-backed student loans for his attendance at North Dakota State University. Mr. Elmi and Rep. Omar simultaneously attended North Dakota State University and may have derived illicit benefits predicated on the immigration fraud scheme. The State of Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board has already determined that Rep. Omar violated state campaign finance laws for improper use of campaign funds. She was forced to reimburse her campaign thousands of dollars. More significantly, the Board discovered that the federal tax returns submitted by Rep. Omar for 2014 and 2015 were filed as “joint” tax returns with a man who was not her husband, named Ahmed Hirsi, while she was actually married to Ahmed Elmi. Under federal law, specifically, 26 U.S. Code & 7206.1, “Any person who willfully makes and subscribes any return, statement, or other document, which contains or is verified by a written declaration that it is made under the penalties of perjury, and which he does not believe to be true and correct as to every material matter … shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $100,000 ($500,000 in the case of a corporation), or imprisoned not more than 3 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution.” -Judicial Watch ........ Steinberg sums up the evidence (also via PowerLineBlog): Verifiable UK and U.S. marriage records Verifiable address records Time-stamped, traceable, archived online communications (Convictions and settlements based upon social media evidence are commonplace, Anthony Weiner being a notable example) Background check confirmations of SSNs and birthdates Archived court documents signed under penalty of perjury Photos which can be examined to rule out digital manipulation The 2019 Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board investigation, which found Omar filed illegal joint tax returns with a man who was not her husband in at least 2014 and 2015 Three years’ of evidence published across many articles — none of which has been shown to be incorrect, or have even been challenged with contradictory evidence from Rep. Omar or any other source Perjury evidence that stands on its own — regardless of whom she married: Long after June 2011, she was clearly in contact with the only man in either the U.S. or the UK with the same name and birthdate as the man she married. She was clearly in contact with several people who were in contact with him. Further, Preya Samsundar did contact him, published how she managed to contact him, and published his email admitting to being photographed with Omar in London in 2015. To be clear: Omar was legally married to an “Ahmed Nur Said Elmi” at the time she was photographed next to a man who admits his name is Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and that he is in the photo. Samsundar published all of this information on how to contact Ahmed Nur Said Elmi a few months before Omar swore to that nine-question court document. Rep. Omar has refused all inquiries from her constituents, elected officials, and media outlets to provide any specific evidence contradicting even a single allegation suggested by three years of now-public information. In fact, Omar has responded by making information less available: In August 2016, after Scott Johnson and Preya Samsundar posted the allegations, Omar’s verified social media accounts were taken offline. Ahmed Nur Said Elmi’s social media accounts were also taken offline. When the accounts returned, a large amount of potentially incriminating evidence had verifiably been deleted. I found and published at least ten additional “before and after” instances of evidence still being deleted in 2018. Omar has released carefully worded, Clintonian statements that denigrate those seeking answers from her as racists. Yet she has repeatedly refused to answer questions or issue anything other than public relations statements. I have a large amount of information that we have not published for reasons including the protection of sources. Sources have expressed fear regarding published video and photo evidence confirming threats from Omar’s campaign team. These sources have shared other evidence of threats. I have contacted the federal authorities to share this and other unpublished information. Providing knowingly false information to the DOJ is a serious crime. According to Steinberg, "I believe Scott Johnson, Preya Samsundar, and me, with our three years of articles, columns and posts, have provided more than enough evidence to give law enforcement authorities probable cause to open an investigation. Now would be the chance for law enforcement, and especially for Rep. Ilhan Omar’s House colleagues, to make a sincere stand against corruption and for the uniform application of the law."

Brad Schneider called the boycott, divest, and sanction movement “bigoted” and argued that those who support it don’t understand its “impact.” CNN’s Dana Bash interviewed Schneider on Tuesday about a House resolution he is co-sponsoring that is expected to be voted on later in the day. “It condemns the global BDS movement, boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, because it opposes two states, it denies the Jewish connection to the land of Israel and it is seeking to delegitimize and ultimately destroy the state of Israel,” Schneider began. “So this resolution bringing the House together, as you noted it has almost 350 co-sponsors, three-quarters of both the Democratic and Republican sides support this resolution and I expect it to pass overwhelmingly tonight.”

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was outraged after being asked to condemn female genital mutilation by Ani Zonneveld, the President of Muslims for Progressive Values.
Rep. Omar acted deeply offended by the “appalling question,” claiming that other lawmakers who aren’t Muslim aren’t asked about these topics. The person asking the question was a fellow Muslim, however — and it was at an event specifically about the religion.
Zonneveld posed the question at the Muslim Caucus Education Collective’s 2019 Conference.
“Should I make a schedule? Like, does this need to be on repeat every 5 minutes? Should I be like, ‘so, today I forgot to condemn Al-Qaeda, so here’s the Al-Qaeda one. Today I forgot to condemn FGM so here it goes. Today I forgot to condemn Hamas so here it goes.’ It is a very frustrating question that comes up. You can look up my record. I’ve voted for bills doing exactly what you are asking me to do,” Omar snapped at Zonneveld indignately.
Rep. Omar added that she is “quite disgusted to be honest that as Muslim legislators, we are constantly being asked to waste our time speaking to issues that other people are not asked to speak to because the assumption exists that we somehow support [it].” Again, she was asked the question by a fellow Muslim at a conference about being Muslim.

www.dailywire.com/news/49820/squad-splits-anti-bds-vote-media-conceals-how-two-ryan-saavedra?ampThe four far-left congresswomen that belong to "The Squad" split on Tuesday in a House resolution vote on opposing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. The anti-BDS resolution passed overwhelmingly in a 398-17 vote with five lawmakers voting "present" and 12 lawmakers not voting. Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — both of whom are well-documented anti-Semites — predictably voted against the resolution. What has largely been ignored by the media is how Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) voted. Ocasio-Cortez sided with her anti-Semitic colleagues and voted against the resolution while Pressley broke from "the Squad" and voted for the resolution. Multiple news organizations — including CNN, The Washington Post (AP Wire), The Hill, and Politico — did not report that Ocasio-Cortez sided with the anti-Semites or that Pressley broke away from her far-left Justice Democrats. Omar proposed a resolution last week "supporting the right to boycott Israel, likening the boycott of the Jewish state to boycotts of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union," Fox News reported. "Omar’s resolution seeks to push back against U.S. laws banning the boycott of Israel and affirms the right of Americans to organize boycotts of foreign countries if they so wish." Tlaib compared the anti-Semitic BDS movement to boycotting Nazi Germany on Tuesday during a speech from the House floor, the Free Beacon reported. "The right to boycott is deeply rooted in the fabric of our country," Tlaib said. "What was the Boston Tea Party but a boycott? Where would we be now without the boycott led by the civil rights activists in the 1950s and 60s like the Montgomery bus boycott and the United Farm Workers Grape boycott?" "Americans boycotted Nazi Germany in response to dehumanization, imprisonment, and genocide of Jewish people," Tlaib continued. "In the 1980s, many of us in this very body boycotted South African goods in the fight against apartheid. Our right to free speech is being threatened with this resolution. It sets a dangerous precedent because it attempts to delegitimize a certain people's political speech and to send a message that our government can and will take action against speech it doesn't like."

Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi – who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 – and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis’s trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively. “I’ve met people who have come here from behind the Iron Curtain,”Paul said. “They got away from communism, they’re some of the best Americans we have, because they really appreciate how great our country is, and then I hear Representative Omar say America is a terrible place.”
“Well, she came here and we fed her, we clothed her, she got welfare, she got [schooling], she got healthcare, and then, lo and behold, she has the honor of actually winning a seat in Congress, and she says we’re a terrible country? I think that’s about as ungrateful as you can get,” continued the senator.
“And so — I’m willing to contribute to buy her a ticket to go visit Somalia,” he continued, “and I think she can look and maybe learn a little bit about the disaster that is Somalia — that has no capitalism, has no God-given rights guaranteed in a constitution, and has about seven different tribes that have been fighting each other for the last 40 years.”
“And then maybe after she’s visited Somalia for a while,” Paul added, “she might come back and appreciate America more.”

Fat chance of this happening:

www.dailywire.com/news/50051/study-green-new-deal-would-cost-some-states-more-joseph-curlBy nearly every estimate, the Green New Deal environmental plan pushed by Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would carry a hefty price tag — one study put the cost at $51 trillion, another at $93 trillion. But that's chump change compared with a new study. The state of Pennsylvania, for example, would need to spend $2 quadrillion to upgrade residential, commercial and industrial buildings as mandated in the GND, and Florida would need to pony up $1.4 quadrillion, according to the study, released jointly by the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) and Power the Future on Tuesday. “The Green New Deal is a radical blueprint to de-carbonize the American economy by refashioning how we grow food, move people and goods, source and distribute electricity, and build the structures where we live, work, and play. Our analysis shows that, if implemented, the Green New Deal would cost for American households at least tens of thousands of dollars annually on a permanent basis,” CEI President and CEO Kent Lassman said in a statement. Perhaps that’s why exactly zero Senate Democrats, including the resolution’s 12 co-sponsors, voted for the Green New Deal when they had the chance.” Some other massive price tags include $352.8 trillion for New Mexico, $533.4 trillion for Alaska and New Hampshire at $102.8 trillion. To put the astronomical numbers in perspective, the United States national debt is $22,022,795,612,652. A quadrillion is equal to a thousand trillion, or a 1 followed by 15 zeroes. The study also found that average Americans would be forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars. "Each household in five model states – Alaska, Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania – will be on the hook for more than $70,000 in increased costs for electricity, upgrading vehicles and housing, and shipping in just the first year under the Green New Deal," the study said. Under the GND plan, Ocasio-Cortez proposes eliminating all fossil-fuel-powered electricity. That would shutter all coal and natural gas power plants across the United States, costing hundred of thousands of jobs. The plan also calls for getting rid of all gas-powered cars — in 10 years. What's more, the plan sets out a guarantee for every American to have a job, pledging to "provide all members of our society, across all regions and all communities, the opportunity, training and education to be a full and equal participant in the transition, including through a job guarantee program to assure a living wage job to every person who wants one." According to the Green New Deal, the program also plans to "mitigate deeply entrenched racial, regional and gender-based inequalities in income and wealth (including, without limitation, ensuring that federal and other investment will be equitably distributed to historically impoverished, low income, deindustrialized or other marginalized communities in such a way that builds wealth and ownership at the community level)." And the draft plan says paying for the massive program "shall be accomplished by the federal government, using a combination of the Federal Reserve, a new public bank or system of regional and specialized public banks, public venture funds and such other vehicles or structures that the select committee deems appropriate." A study co-authored by the former director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that the cost for the first decade would be $93 trillion. But the authors of the latest study warned that they may have underestimated the staggering cost. Most provisions of the GND are so broad and open-ended that the list of potential programs necessary to implement the program is limited by the capacity of legislators to imagine a new government program," Lassman and co-author Daniel Turner wrote. "Therefore, it is impossible to calculate the whole or maximum cost of the GND."

www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-31/aoc-gets-testy-after-nyt-editor-attacks-squadmates-ilhan-omar-and-rashida-tlaibRep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) jumped into action after a New York Times editor slammed AOC's progressive Democrat 'Squadmates' Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as not representative of the Midwest. In a now-deleted tweet, New York Times deputy Washington editor Jonathan Weisman responded to a comment by Justice Democrats spokesman Waleed Shahid - who was opining on a debate comment made by 2020 Democratic candidate Claire McCaskill (D-MO) that "free stuff from the government doesn't play well in the Midwest." Weisman replied, suggesting that saying Tlaib and Omar are from the Midwest "is like saying @replloyddoggett (D-Austin) is from Texas or @repjohnlewis (D-Atlanta) is from the Deep South" (which they are).

Saikat Chakrabarti, AOC’s Chief of Staff, and Corbin Trent, her Director of Communications — both radicals who work with Justice Democrats will be leaving her office, according to a report by The Intercept. theintercept.com/2019/08/02/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-saikat-chakrabarti-corbin-trent/“Saikat has decided to leave the office of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to work with New Consensus to further develop plans for a Green New Deal,” Trent said in a statement to The Intercept. “We are extraordinarily grateful for his service to advance a bold agenda and improve the lives of the people in NY-14. From his co-founding of Justice Democrats to his work on the Ocasio-Cortez campaign and in the official office, Saikat’s goal has always been to do whatever he can to help the larger progressive movement, and we look forward to continuing working with him to do just that.” Chakrabarti’s last day is Friday, August 2, and Trent’s transition timeline is still unclear, Ocasio-Cortez told The Intercept. Trent told The Intercept he expects to continue serving as spokesperson through the end of August. Trent, who has been directing communications for the Ocasio-Cortez campaign part time since 2018, will now do so full time. Ariel Eckblad, Ocasio-Cortez’s legislative director, will take over as chief of staff.
